@Ladypug Just ask Geralt. I’m sure he’ll give you enough reasons.

The value of a hypocrite’s criticism doesn’t depreciate because of their lack of awareness. It’s the best opportunity to grow, and not become just as oblivious. It’s also hilarious asf to witness.
@Jasper19As soon as I get all of the applications in by next Monday, I'm going to go through them all and start accepting who gets in, all at once. If we get enough before hand though, I'll start the process sooner!
@Jasper19 Looks good, I prefer a bit more detail, but you hit all the marks for each part! Only thing I'd ask to change is the year. My fault for not saying what it was in the op, but earth time is currently 2127, making Jules born at 2105. I do like the addition of Blurb into Nautrias lore! I'd imagine they'd be in seashell-type containers.
@vertigh0stYou're more than welcome to apply! Character applications stay open until next Monday! Please let me know if you have any questions.
♦ Time: Afternoon ♦ Location: Central Point - Entre Dos Islas ♦ Interaction: Open for anyone to join in. ♦ Link to Yoji’s character bio.
♦ Current music playing at food truck:
Look at Central Point! So beautiful, so clean, and so well-maintained! Tourists flock toward its architectural beauty, gazing upon the cityscape that is modern art personified. Amidst its palette of complementary hues, stands a guacamole-colored… armored bank truck.
It parks itself amongst the contours of the city’s beautiful face like a stale booger, but it is anything but! No my friend, look a little closer! Do you hear the upbeat Cuban percussions flowing from its loud speakers? The sweet sizzle of the grill? The cacophony of laughter and lively conversation? The crazy man dancing with his plastic spoons, singing a made up song, using a made up language? No wait, ignore that guy, he may or may not have escaped from SMMC.
What I’m trying to tell you is that this is no ordinary bank truck, carnal! It does not hold money, it holds something else entirely. Something more meaningful. This is Entre Dos Islas, the food truck Between Two Islands!
The kitchen was being run like a well-oiled machine. Two of the cooks, Ernesto and James, prepared orders like mystical wizards throwing spells into a cauldron. They said nothing to each other. At this point into their careers, they were telepathically in sync, teaming up in such a way that defines culinary symbiosis. They were a marvel to look at, like an ice skating couple performing a beautiful dance routine. Ernesto finished preparing the last bits of the order, then glided the plates over to Yoji.
“Two orders of Domo Arigato, Mr. Cubano, with a side of chicken empanadas.” Yoji said in a sing-song manner, scooping up the dishes and gracefully placing them in front of the two patrons sitting on the diner side of the truck.
“Enjoy your meals my friends!” He smiled, twirled, then pivoted over to the to-go orders’ side. A small line was forming.
“Alright, alright!” Yoji pumped his fist with a smile. “Look at all of these beautiful people ready to stuff their faces!”
The hour came and went as the trio swayed too and fro, cooking and serving to all who frequented. The energetic atmosphere never seized, in fact, the three became even more energized as it got busier. When the rush eventually died down, only three customers remained.
“I swear to you on my life!” Yoji playfully gestured, pleading to the three customers who each expressed a look of shock and disbelief on their faces. “The reason the Kraken wasn’t at the Aquarium is because it made a Prison Break! I’m not kidding! A bunch of sushi chefs got on a boat and chased after it with a harpoon! So, if you want to go see Mr. Inkling… you might want to call up the Japanese Restaurants around the area!”
Laughter broke out. Even Ernesto and James chuckled as they sat in the back of the truck, embracing the cool air from the portable fans.
I should note that there isn’t a strict dress code enforced since it’s basically a mercenary group. Only exception would probably be when Trident meets up with USS officials.
Typically, the second year members won’t care as much about wearing them, but the 1st years will most likely feel obligated to wear them.
@Jasper19Trident uniforms will be pretty casual compared to the USS.
Closest interpretation I can find, exception being a more lighter blue tone with a gold trident insignia patch on the left breast. I’ll try and draw the insignia patch when I get the chance.
USS have much more lighter colors, usually all white with darker accents like shone below.
Alrighty... Make sure to look over the OP as I’ve added a bunch of lore stuff, plus an additional rule. I’d say character applications will close no later than next Monday, but will definitely make exceptions if you need more time!
Edit: Please post character apps here and not in the character tab. Thanks!
Race: (If droquilian, or a native species of Naustria that you want to create on your own, then they must be from the Coalition.)
Appearance: Description and/or picture.
Profession: (Small Vessel Pilot, Ship Engineer, Security, Medic, or any other profession you’d want your character to be. Remember that everyone is technically a bounty hunter/mercenary type so that doesn’t count.)
Specialty: (See Technology tab. Choose between the three options: Miniature Drones, Creature Taming, or Weapons.)
Equipment:(Make sure this lines up with your specialty. Note that you can have weapons, but if you’re a creature tamer, or specializes in miniature drones, then you won’t be great at using weapons, vice versa.)
Personality:
Backstory: (Have fun in this section, but make sure to state whether it is your 1st or 2nd year with The Trident.)
Miscellaneous:
NPCs
Name: Zolfix Bio: The appointed go-between for all of Obsidian’s Hand operations on planet Nautrias. He is a Puricon, birthed into upper royalty and destined to sit at the highest table in the noble court. However, he declined the seat for a greater opportunity with Obsidian’s Hand. He reaps the benefits as their trusted employee, and believes he’s above Puricon law.
Name: The Founders Bio: From left to right: Vesavi, Cyrika, & Itreilu are the trifecta leadership of the Coalition. Vesavi governs the needs of the people and is loved by many. Cyrika commands the military and is feared by most. Itreilu accounts for logistics and is perceived as the intelligent one.
Together, with the combined defenses of the United Star Sector, The Founders have kept the Puricons and Obsidian’s Hand at bay, but it’s only a matter of time before another civil war sparks the seas, yet again.
Name: Urien Nakan Bio: His full identity is rarely disclosed. Zolfix, his droquilian-puricon liaison, isn’t even sure if he’s seen the synthoid’s true identity. He exists amongst all things, sifting between technologies as a holographic deity. He is the supreme overseer of Obsidian’s Hand’s entire Nautrias operation. His eyes are on the prize, never waning from the company goal, even with the USS meddling in their affairs.
Name: Captain Weaver Sinclaire Bio: Weaver Sinclaire served under Rear Admiral Gildeon Omarkei as they established their USS base on planet Nautrias. After careful consideration, she conceded with his plan to spearhead the Trident force, retiring her original rank to become a volunteer-class ship captain. She is recognized as the group’s leader with Atrigan as her second-in-command. Weaver is an altered human whose vital organs and musculoskeletal system is replaced with synthetics capable of handling Nautrias’ environment.
