I see. So this is not simply a vent of negative emotion coming from a naive writer. You have me convinced that this is not something childish and foolish. If I may, I would like to ask a few more questions.

The fact that you state in your reply that we will be destroying society fortunately answers the question I had intentionally left out for later. We will not be raging war against life itself, but simply against society. This brings back fond memories of the anime I once watched - "Code Geass". A lovely story it was.

The mention of areas has me thinking you have already settled on a model of the world we will be placed in. The idea of randomly raging about while using powers sounds rather foolish, since it is obvious that too much attention will be caught and the enemy would have more time to gather forces, due to the fact that we would become visible early on. If I truly decide on joining, I would most likely attempt to take the role of a strategist, so to speak. What era will our characters be placed in? A modern one, far back in the past or fast forward into the future? Could you tell me a bit about the world the characters will be set in? It will be necessary for the creation of a history, after all.
Heeeeh, interesting. I haven't seen one of these before and I must say the idea tickles my curiosity. All seems well, however, I do have an inquiry or two.

What I am interested in and looking for are truly serious role-plays. This idea looks like a good way to let off some steam and present some philosophical ideas, however, I've already passed the phase of "this world is horrible", "society's awful" and all that jazz during the beginning of the teenage years, thus if this is going to be some role-play where characters destroy the world just because of their drama queen life stories, you can count me out. When we say evil, I'm actually looking for evil, not some childish excuse for a villain.

This all being said and clear, what will the exact setting of the story be? Will our characters meet up by accident or will they be a formed group when we begin? What about the progression? Will we have missions or something similar? I'd like to hear more about the base of the story before deciding whether or not to work on an application.

EDIT: I actually had a re-read for a moment. Do realize that some of the things you are suggesting go against the rules of this role-play site? You did mention that we can't get graphic, but rape and mutilation? Seriously? I thought this was naive when I first read it, which was the reason I explained that I'm looking for something serious, but I suppose I'd better ask the question directly. Is this truly going to be a mature role-play (mature = a debate, discussion and/or portrayal of different ideologies on right and wrong, evil and the world) or is it simply a "we're evil because we just have/want to be evil"? If it's the latter, then I'm wasting my time here.
It's not your fault, Four =3 Hope you have fun at camp! Lucky! Field trips are great! Enjoy your time as much as possible! Sure, something like climbing a mountain was tiring and made me angry on sight, but when everything is over, you get left with fond memories ^ ^
Shin, I am glad that you voiced out your opinion, rather than keeping it in ^ ^ This is a free community and I expect everyone to express their feelings when they spot something wrong. I, as the GM with a final say in any matter regarding this role-play, will attempt to be an honorable judge.

In the case that has been brought up, I can not help but agree with the both of you on different parts.

While I do not expect everyone to always post five or more pages worth of text every single time, it should be clear that the quality of the text should be of high value or at least relevant. I understand that Bear is quite a random character and silliness if part of his act and I also agree that quality beats quantity every single time, yet there is a certain point where quality requires quantity for the sake of the text's worth.
Writer's block is writer's block and we have all had it. Indeed, it is a strong and devastating enemy. But, as a role-player once told me, the only way to defeat writer's block is through writing. That can be interpreted in several ways. One of them is to write for the sake of writing and I am definitely against that 9/10 times, but sometimes it is required. I tend to avoid it as much as possible and have not reached such a point in this role-play, but I am aware that sometimes one should simply add additional information, despite that the said information can be skipped.
Not to mention that an advanced player has to have some pride in themselves, but some of the members of the human race do not wish to have pride in their work, thus I would rather not delve into that topic.
In other words, I will agree that your condition hinders your writing, El, and that you are right when you say that quality is more important, yet you should have written more for your post with the spare time you had. I do take under consideration that you had real life and other role-plays to attend to, but something as small as your post makes it seem like you posted for the sake of posting, which is different from "writing for the sake of writing", because the entire post is just thrown at the wind, which is an indirect insult. (it was still funny, though)

As for the languages, I will have to note that languages are not relevant to Keys. They can speak any language in the world, since they have to be prepared for any kind of owner that might pick them. They do not learn it anywhere, but simply comprehend any form of human speech. Even baby talk. This can be explained by the absence of language barriers in Cell City, where everyone can comprehend what the other is saying, even if they hear speech in a different language. I will have to admit that I had thought of this before, but it didn't come to mind when you said that Bear knows Italian perfectly, hence my confusion and question. Excuse me for that.

However, I will have to go against the idea you propose, El. Bear can not simply watch videos and movies all the time as he wishes. Of course, he can wander around in Cell City, but there are aren't any TV sets there, except those who are actually moving and, well, alive. Only high-level players can afford an actual entertainment device such as a screen that broadcasts channels, but those channels have information related to Cell City only. They don't display anything about other worlds. Also, the movie industry has not really picked up in that world, albeit the music one has. This being said, there are only a few movie theaters out there and they are mostly in Akasan and one or two in Underground. I do understand that this information is new, but you should have asked about it in the first place.
This all being said, the only time Bear would be capable of watching movies is in the human world, where he would have to enter the Internet or watch a movie with his owner on television or at the cinema. While that does count as the time when he is "not doing his job", you should have been more descriptive in your post on this specific moment. Fortunately, it does not truly matter, because, as I stated above, Keys do not need to learn languages, because they can speak each and every one of them.

When it comes to OOC and Skype speech, I am not forcing anyone to download Skype, if they don't want to. If someone told me to make a new Facebook account just so I could be part of the gang, I wouldn't, because I don't want to make a new one after I deleted my old one. But I must say that not wanting to download Skype isn't an excuse to not post in the OOC. Yes, we don't post here that often, because we're engaging in conversations elsewhere, but if you don't prompt us to come around by posting, how would we talk to you? At the very least, you should post when you have some business or writer's block, El. It's not right for Shin to force you to download it, but it's also not right to stay silent for far too long.

Regarding the "taking it seriously" moment, no one can truly tell if someone is taking something seriously, because you are yourself and you can't read another person's mind, not through a screen at least. However, El, I can understand where Shin is coming from, because the shortness of your post definitely irritated him. That is why we can not say that he is baselessly accusing you for not being serious, because there is a definite motive behind it.
About the "lol" part, it did not irritate me as much as it did other people and I dislike limiting people when it comes to personal things, but sometimes habits should be oppressed ^ ^" Here, I admit that I use emoticons. The cat =3 is more or less my trademark now XD (see, again). The "lol" is no doubt one of your specific ways to display emotion and not sound overly serious when writing. However, you haven't seen me use emoticons twice in one sentence or, if you have, it isn't often, right? I'm not going to say "Don't use lol", because, lets face it, everyone nowadays uses "lol", but do pay in mind where you place it. If it already exists in one sentence, don't write it again or in the first following one. It will annoy some people.

Hopefully I haven't come off too harsh here. I'm trying to be as objective as possible. Lets not fight and try to settle our differences. =3
Hehe, that post made me laugh, El XD Ze randomness of Bear is funny. However, I have to ask why he knows Italian "perfectly". You never mentioned it in the sheet and while I do like those hidden facts that get revealed in-game, you didn't give an explanation in the post either. Please, elaborate =<

And oh, snap, Gabe was smart. Taking over another person's apartment just like that. Genius XD Great post! I'm happy that everyone got together and started the avalanche XD The only duo left is Julia-Que, as well as a post from Nadi. I'm seriously happy that we got moving so quickly after the break ^^

Also, it's morning here, so it's time for a morning warm up =3 Sharing!

I must agree that this is quite interesting. The topics of politics and different systems of rulership are favorable for a deep plot and tickle my curiosity to see just how far a story, such as this one, can go. To have a character in the setting you place before me will surely provide me with experience and an enjoyable time. You may count me in as a highly possible participant. However, I do have a few inquiries.
1.First of all, I would like to ask about the world we will be placed in. You state that it shall be a fantasy world, but how far exactly can we go?

Is there magic and how much has it influenced the country? Is there a high court of magicians that stands on equal ground with the court of law and justice? Just how much has magic developed in the time we will be placed in? Do people only have the knowledge of how to control the elements or has the teaching gone as far as teleportation, shape-shifting, mind control, etc.? Regardless of the answer, do the people use it with their free will or are they specifically assigned positions for them? Who can use magic in the first place, if it exists at all in the world? Are there only a chosen few or can magic be used by another race? And are those chosen few captured and trained under the watchful eye of the allies of the ruler? Or are they captured and burned at the stake?

If we are going to rebel against the Good Queen, I suspect that the ones capable of using magic would either be hunted down or greatly restricted and trained much like brainwashed soldiers under the pretext that magic can be quite harmful to normal people and, in order to prevent unfortunate accidents (which no doubt could happen when the case involves young users), the Queen bans or restricts magic.

The acceptance of magic and integrating it into society might be interesting to develop. People naturally fear what they can not understand. This would mean that the majority of the population, which I assume would be incapable of using magic, would distrust magicians, even hate and voluntarily hunt them down, thinking that every person that strays from the norm is evil and plots to bring harm upon the simple lambs.

If magic is taken into account in its oppressed state, I believe it would contribute positively to the plot as a whole.

In addition, I would like to ask about the geography of the world. Do fields cover the most of it or are there more mountains and hills? Are there deserts? Big rivers? Does the empire have access to the sea? What is the climate, flora and fauna as a whole? Is it more like the Mediterranean, with typically warm climate, not very chilly winter, with oak forests and the like? Or are the more pine forests or maybe even rain forests? Volcanoes? Hot springs? I can't expect you to have everything covered, but I don't want something like, say, me making a character from a village in the desert when there is no desert to be found happening.

2. Secondly, I would like to ask about character creation and characters in general.

This role-play will be about a rebellion, which means it will require a rebellious group, yet do we start from there or build slowly? Will we begin with already settled relationships in a group or will be begin on our own and have our characters meet through interaction, similar ideals and the like? I would personally prefer the latter, since we would have our characters experiences many events that would gradually form them as a group with one soul purpose. Having the story start with an already assembled group in one place would be a bit distasteful, for we will lose the unique first meeting, initial reactions and bonding. However, the show is yours and you make all the decisions. I am only expressing my opinion.

Also, will we only be limited to the human species or will there be other ones available? What about professions? I was personally thinking of a merchant or a tarot card reader for my character. What is the range or are we unlimited and allowed to let our imagination soar?

Albeit this also falls into the category of my first question, I will ask it here. Are there any slaves in the empire? If so, are they merely captured prisoners from the latest conquest or would they be members of a non-human species?
The existence of slaves is rather beneficial in the maintenance of peace, seeing as the poor but free people would tell themselves "At least I'm not a slave" and not raise their voice. Of course, in the country that is our setting, no one will truly be free, but there is a difference between a slave in soul and partly in body and slave fully in body and soul.
If there are, in fact, slaves, will there be a system such as the one in the Roman empire, where a slave may earn its freedom?

The introduction of slavery will also contribute to the plot, in my opinion, for it is another form of oppression and another spark for the flame of a rebellion.

Since I touched the topic of slavery, would you mind giving us a basic structure of the classes? Is it just [Ruler]-[Aristocracy]-[Priesthood]-[People] or is there more than that? What sort of religion would there be in the empire in the first place? A mix of religions, like it was in the Byzantium empire? I suppose it will be like in the Eastern orthodox church, where the ruler stands above the head of the priesthood.
Is it widely accepted that men stand above women or is it the other way around, seeing as we have a queen rather than a king leading the country and the said queen hasn't been prompted to marry someone for the sake of having a ruler? Or is there gender equality? What about orientations? I expect that anything other than heterosexual will be scorned, just like it was for the most part in our world.

3. Thirdly, I would like to ask about the beginning of the role-play.

Will we start off at the capital city or in some other major town? We could have a traveling episode as well as spreading of the flame before we close in on the capital, if we decide on the latter.
I am well aware that I ask a lot of questions, but I am sure that the requested information would help anyone wondering whether or not to join the role-play. Not to mention I am quite curious X3

In the end, the idea of a rebellion against a seemingly good ruler has my attention. You will definitely hear more from me. =3

~Thank you for your time~
I'm really late, but I hope all goes well, Four! You've been doing your best all year, so you deserve an excellent mark!

Today my teacher will be handing out our markbooks and calling it a year XD FINALLY. ZE END. One more year to go and I'm done with school forever. It's sad and nostalgic, not to mention worrying, but I'm also excited about my future life.

Guys, I'll be gone from the 27th to the 29th this month, since I'll be going on a mountain excursion with a few friends from school. I'm not all that sure if there will be Internet up there, but if there is, I'll probably be able to only chat on Skype or put up a little post here on the OOC. Hope you're all having a pleasant summer! =3

A little shout out to all of you regarding the actual entrance to Cell City. Since entering Cell City would require a system post, as well as an overall description about where each team lands, I'd like you all to end your posts with your characters unlocking a door. I know that the posts right now might be short, but do your best to socialize =3 Once all of you have posted with the unlocking of a door, I'll make a system post and transport everyone to the other world.

Also, to the users, who are playing keys: If at some point you feel bored with your Key or simply want to try another idea of yours, you can make a new Key character once the human owner of your current Key dies. The Key you are playing will be placed back in the Key Shop and we can say that it is simply not chosen for the next round.

Candra said "...At your soonest convenience," She began, "it would be beneficial for you to understand what exactly is happening. I'll give you the short version, if you please. I am not, as you suspected, a worker from the developers of this app."

“Eh, you’re not?” Sophie quickly responded.

Candra said Candra gave it some thought. "Not directly, anyway. You might say I am something of a servant or a pawn. Yours, in fact."

A moment of silence followed, in which both human and Key stared at each other. Whilst the latter appeared quite serious and determined to get her message across, the former had slightly tilted her head to the right, much like her dog when it could not understand its owner’s commands. Sophie had had the feeling that this would be something she would not be able to comprehend the moment the unfamiliar woman’s figure came on screen, thus she had attempted to calm herself down with her own rant and quickly brush off the matter with a logical explanation, yet to no avail. The thought of needing to firmly concentrate this early in the morning made her feel all the more lazy, but what pestered her even more was how this person had dubbed themselves a servant and a pawn. Slavery, in all its variations, was something the girl hated and she felt compelled to beg to differ, however, her new companion continued with the same strong intonation as before.

Candra said "You should have been made aware before purchasing me, but there is a 'game' at hand, and one that you are a part of. In this game I am your sword and shield."

The words that were uttered were ones that Sophie could not fully understand once more. They simply came into one ear and out the other. The only one that rang a small bell was “game” and it was not a pleasant sound. The fact that they were having a conversation through the phone and that it was connected to a certain app on the device instantly lead to the conclusion that the “game” in question was an online one. This bothered her a bit and made her feel uneasy, for this young lady was absolutely helpless when it came to online gaming. Simple browser family games were not a problem, nor was the Sims series, yet action-oriented ones were out of her league. She could never react fast enough, nor could she handle all those battle combos, albeit she loved the art and music. There had been a time in her life when her entire class had had the topic of MMOs on their lips, which had prompted her to see what these games were all about. Try as she might, it had been too difficult to deal with, not to mention it required time and concentration, both of which she ofttimes lacked.
This being said, the mention of a “game” certainly did not make her feel at ease. Yet at the same time, she didn’t have it in her to refuse this polite woman. It was obvious that she was having a hard time explaining everything to someone as air-headed as her, so Sophie wished to make it up to her somehow, which was exactly why she still listened when Candra continued.

Candra said "Everything will become much clearer once you log in. When you have a spare moment, I would ask that you take my key - which, incidentally, you must not misplace, and use it to unlock a door of your choosing. It matters not what door you open, as long as you do it with me."

“Mmmhmm, alright. Got it!” the sunny child said, in order to confirm to the speaker that she was listening.

Candra said "I have no further explanation for now, do not let me keep you any longer from your breakfast. However, the last thing I would request... although this may be above my station..." Candra stared forward with a fierce look that her owner probably couldn't see.

“”W-what might that be?” Sophie asked. Although she was smiling and appeared cheerful, she was undeniably nervous.

Candra said "Please... take me with you! I do not wish to leave your side so quickly. If you require it, I can keep silent."

If this had been an anime, there would be a sweat drop symbol on Sophie’s head right about now. The request was sudden, seemingly out of nowhere and out of character. The girl could only stand there silently, stumped by this show of emotion. Thankfully, she regained her senses a few seconds after and her natural smile shined on.

“Alright! You can come along. Oh, but go into mini mode. Be like, um, a shimeji! Like a little figure that is on screen, otherwise mum might notice.” she said happily and went to open the door of her bedroom. “Dad’s asleep, so we should keep quiet.” she added as she walked down the hall and reached for the kitchen door’s handle.

The moment she entered the room, a sweet aroma spellbound the child. The caster of the spell was the kind hard-working witch, Siena Soleil - her mother, who was busily cleaning the worktop and oven from the aftermath of her cooking. There were only a few spots and crumbs to swipe away, but when she heard someone entering, the woman halted her work, turned and smiled warmly.
“Guess what we’re having today.” she said.
At that moment, her daughter’s eyes widened and shined from joy. Six waffles were perfectly stacked atop one another on a big plate in the center of the table. Two jars of jam, one from cherries and one from prunes, were placed by its sides, a spoon sticking out of each. A cozy sweet-smelling scene illuminated by the yellow glow of the light bulb.
“Yes! Waffles!” Sophie exclaimed.
“Quiet down now and lets have breakfast.” her mother said as she opened a cabinet and got the jar of honey.

The both of them seated themselves in front of each other, a small white plate with a serviette to the right waiting for them to begin. Since they were at their home and no one was watching, the two prefered to childishly eat with their fingers, rather than use forks and knives. It provided a family atmosphere and a chance for something funny to joke about once someone’s fingers became sticky. Sofia put her phone to her right and took one waffle from the stack, which she hastily divided in two and put honey on one piece and cherry jam on the other. Biting first into the former, she flinched when lightning struck and thunder broke the silence.

“Quite the bad weather we have today.” her mother remarked.

Making her daughter’s favorite breakfast was the least she could do. With the rain pouring down so badly and the storm not giving the slightest indication of leaving, her little girl would not be able to leave their apartment all day, nor would she be able to call her friends, due to the loss of signal. It was a miracle that Internet connection was still available, yet even that was lagging and would soon be lost. Her only companion would be Tori and her father’s occasional snores, because the woman would inevitably have to leave for an errand. Even on Sunday there was still work to be done.
After eating one waffle with prune jam, she stood up and took her plate to the sink.

“Done already?” Sofia questioned.
“Yes. I have to go do some paperwork. It won’t take long, so no worries.” Siena answered.
“Mum, you should eat more. You’ll get sick.” the girl pouted.
“I won’t. Now be a good girl and don’t make too much noise.” the woman told her kindly and went to freshen herself up in the bathroom. She was already dressed in her business suit, thus a change of clothes was not required.

“You hear that? She always says she’ll be ok, but she still gets sick from lack of vitamins. How careless.” she quietly complained to her phone, where her new friend was, but then continued casually “By the way, you never answered my question about what kind of food you liked. I love waffles in the morning, but if I could, I would have them any time. Mum makes them with sugar, but I like adding a topping as well. Right now, we have cherry jam, honey and prune jam. Which do you like the most?”

Albeit it seemed like a thoughtless inquiry, like idle chatter without a meaning, the girl’s words had reason to them. Her relationship with Candra had begun rather awkwardly and the best way to mend it was to get to know the other. Even if it wasn’t the best choice of topic, Sophie wished to get a conversation started so she could get a peek at this person’s personality. So far she had only seen their serious formal expression, but there had to be more sides of them hidden behind that first layer. Curious and overly friendly, she hoped that she could create a good bond with her new companion.

A couple of minutes later, Siena opened the kitchen door and spoke:
“Sophie, I’m leaving.”
“Bye bye.” the fifteen-year-old responded cheerfully.

With that the mother headed out, locking the front door behind her. Sophie devoured another waffle with cherry jam before she put away the jars, placed the dishes and the spoons in the sink and left the remaining waffles in a box, which then was left inside the fridge. Tori had used the bathroom to do his business and had eaten silently from his bowl the entire time. Now he followed his mistress swiftly on his little legs as they entered her room.

“Oh, sheesh. No Internet. No signal. No communication.” the girl sighed, her phone in her hand. Once more, she jumped when thunder rolled in from outside. It was already thirteen minutes past seven in the morning and the skies remained as grey and as gloomy as they had been an hour ago. “What to do, what to do…” she wondered and looked her her dog. “Oh, we can practice your tricks, Tori.” she smiled, to which her pet wagged its short tail. “Now, where did I leave that wand?”

Turning around to look in her room, Sophie noticed the box on her bed and it took her a few seconds to remember why it was there.
“Oh, right, the key!” she said in surprise and walked over to it. Picking the small object up from its resting place, it truly looked like a regular old key. “Alright! Lets try this, Candra!”

Spinning childishly around, the young girl went over to her bedroom door and unlocked it. What followed was something she would never forget.

In other news...El, why haven't you joined us on Skype? The gang's all there. You're missing out on the party XD
I officially blame Ero and El for the mental scars they have inflicted upon me and Nadi, due to the fact that their gifs influenced us to search "booty gifs" on rebloggy. We have permanent brain damage and will be scarred for life. You must compensate for the pain you have caused us two maidens X3

Lets relax with some gif *deep breath* *sighs the pressure away*
