P L O T_

Three beasts, three humans.

The story begins after the death of the humans. Each human had died an unfortunate death at a young age after their beast had fulfilled their wish.

The Humans find themselves in a strange world where a misty haze makes it hard to tell where the ground began and ended, and where a large house sat atop a hill, beside a blackened tree. This was the home of the Beasts.

Here, the humans will begin their lives as servants to the Beasts.

We would like this RP to revolve around the daily life of Beasts and Men. It will be of a darker genre where the beasts and humans will discover themselves and each other.

Romance is optional and not required, though us GMs do have a penchant for some romance u v u

A little note that because we want the RP Characters to be flexible, please do not make your history or personality too detailed. We want everyone to leave some room for each character to grow and for everyone to slowly discover each other's history.

This is intended to be a small group however if there is a good amount of interest, we will accept characters based on quality and promise.

The Beasts

The beast is an enigmatic creature.
Each beast is different and while they are all mostly human in appearance, there is something about them that anything but human.

It is up to you how you make your beast. Please keep in mind that your beast must adhere with ONE of the following specialties:

Boogeyman

T H E _ B O O G E Y M A N
The shadows will eat you, devour you, and break you until there is nothing left. Without the Boogeymen, there would be nothing left but nightmares in the wake of the shadows.
He was a tall man. A little bit lean, but all the more better to squeeze into tight spaces. He wore a black suit, the very business-sort of suit and carried about a little metal suitcase. By day, he was Vince Riddle. By night, he was the Boogeyman.

The assignments came in little slips of paper beneath his door. On a little three-by-three yellowing paper, its edges worn and curled, a scribbly black handwriting spelled out a name and address. The Boogeyman would arrive just moments before sundown and he'd hide. Tonight, it was young Lux. A little boy of five. This one was strange - the shadows were unusually attracted to Lux. The Boogeyman had already visited Lux several times and each time, there would be more and more shadows. Just the slightest bit frustrated, the Boogeyman prepared his suitcase and set out for Lux.

This night was just like any other night with Lux. The Boogeyman had managed to keep the shadows at bay for now but as the sun dipped below the horizon and darkness cast over the room, he wondered if his efforts would be enough. But with Lux asleep now, he'd need to work fast and fast he did. A small click and the suitcase popped open. Inside, three glass jars and a silver net. Taking ahold of the handle of the net in one hand and a jar in the other, the Boogeyman peeked out from the closet and peered at the dark room. He could sense them. The shadows were coming.

And like a snake, pitch black curled from 'neath the windows and 'neath the door. They slithered across the wooden floors, curling up the bed posts, and looming over the sleeping child. It was massive, bigger than before and clearly looking for a meal. But the Boogeyman was determined and with a small wave of his hand, he sliced through the shadows with his net and forced them inside the jar. To the naked eye, the jar would only be black. But to the Boogeyman, it was more than a sea of black. He could hear their raging screams, the way they'd slam against the jar, and he could see the misty curls of their tail, their horrid forms.

While the child slept, the Boogeyman caught the shadows and filled the jars. When all was said and done, he left without a trace. He was nothing more than a bad dream. The Boogeyman would always return home and to the room hidden behind a bookcase. Tonight was no different for he entered the secret room where bookshelves lined the walls, filled with jars of shadows. Three more shadows to his collection and the Boogeyman would call it a night. He tucked away his suitcase, neatly hung his suit in his closet, and donned a loose button-down white shirt and dark trousers. The sun was peeking from the window, a little flutter of its rays dashing across the floor. It was day and he was no longer the Boogeyman. He was Vince Riddle.

Just below his home, a small apartment, there was a coffeeshop. Vince Riddle was the barista. He always opened at nine AM-sharp. Then slowly, his employees would trudge inside. They'd yawn and greet Vince with a tired smile. Then, his regulars would slink inside. It was always the same thing.

Mrs. Jorge, with her walking cane, from the flower shop across the street would come in and there would be a steaming cup of latte - three sugars and a half-cup of milk - waiting on the counter.

Mr. Jacobs, with his bowler had and disheveled suit from the office just down the street would order: pancakes and eggs, sunny-side up, and a cup of hot chocolate on the side.

And like this, the years passed. Mrs. Jorge and Mr. Jacobs would frequently tell Vince how he looked like he never ages - such youth, they'd say. With every year, it became harder for Mrs. Jorge to walk, to come to his shop everyday. But there was nothing Vince Riddle could do about it, for it was not his job to interfere with death - that was the job of the Grimm Reaper. Eventually, Mrs. Jorge passed. It was at night and the Boogeyman had come to bid her soul farewell. The Grimm Reaper, always on time, gathered the small glowing orb into its hand but before he left, the Boogeyman called him out.

"Take care of her," he had told him. "Please."

Without a response, the Grimm Reaper spared a few moments to peer at the Boogeyman before vanishing. The Boogeyman didn't know what happened after that. All he knew was that Mr. Jacobs was very sad. And the Boogeyman? Perhaps he was sad. Perhaps it was why his heart had squeezed until it was painful and why little drops of water fell from his eyes. But there was one thing that never changed.

Lux.

It had been ten years since. Lux was a University student now and the shadows still chased after him every night. Vince no longer received assignments for other children. Every night, it was always the same: Lux. Vince Riddle watched Lux grow up - watched his room slowly change from the masses of car toys to books and posters. Right before his eyes, Lux grew up.

Lux would be working at his coffee shop today. Vince had already met him once. To speak to him face to face was different. At night, he would only see the sleeping face of Lux but just the other day, they had spoken. Lux's voice was different than he imagined, a little deeper and smoother. His smile was different too - more lively than the one in his imagination.

It was eleven AM, about time for Lux to show up.

Grim Reaper

The a f t e r l i f e went like this:

A human passes and their soul is left behind, a small orb of light filled with memories and all the sorts of things that made one human. Then came the Grim Reaper, donning a black cloak and a silver scythe. With his scythe, he'd raise his arm and with one swing, he'd slice the connection between soul and body. And just like this, he'd take the little orb into his hand and hold it close. He'd breathe in and the memories would flow in like a great river washing over him. Then he'd make a decision: Heaven or Hell. Mind you, the Grim Reaper was only doing his job because that was all it was to him: a job.

Another one had passed and this one was a little different. It was small, smaller than the rest. Like always, he raised his arms and swung it down. The sharp metal blade of his scythe sliced through the connection between body and soul. He gathered up the little orb of light into his grayed hands and held it close. But nothing. What was this? The Grim Reaper held up the orb and inspected it - and oh? It was not quite real, yet not quite fake. It pulsed so gently in his palm, its little light dancing shadows across his face. It was an empty little thing, no thoughts of its own, no predetermined path, no future, no past - because it was man-made.

Then, they were at Elysium. One door to heaven, the other to hell, and the last to the abyss beyond.

The Grimm Reaper, a tall fellow, was cloaked in shrouds of black. To ease the souls he gathered, he was bestowed a gentle, heart-shaped face with thick lashes surrounding empty eyes, just a black slate of white, a straight nose that perked up ever so slightly at the bottom and full cherry lips against grayish skin. Beneath the thick hood that shaded over his eyes were strands of black locks that curled so subtly at the bottom and brushed just above his eyes. He held out his hand and the little soul, so small, floated just above his palm. Its light pulsed and it spoke:

"Where am I?"

He did not respond right away, a lengthy pause in between, and paused in his steps. No longer were they in the empty space of Elysium, but what looked to be a room. There were two velvet couches and a glass table in front of the Reaper, a bed to the side, and and a desk beside it.

"Nowhere," he responded. His voice was quiet and lulling, like a small whisper as though it had been eons since he'd last spoken.

Like this, he left the little man-made soul on the glass table and vanished. He did not know what to do with it.

The Light in this World

T H E _ L I G H T _ I N _ T H I S _ W O R L D
He could feel their hands grabbing at his body. They were unkind hands, so cruel. They laughed at him, their voices like sharp blades slicing through his mind. The one who he'd punched took favor in throwing some punches at Fin in a fit of revenge. One to his stomach, another to his side, one to his face, and a final one to his back. He felt warmth dribbled down from his nose and the sharp metallic smell of blood fill his nostrils. He could still hear it.

The cars were still moving, still driving by. The people - oh the people - he could hear them. They murmured amongst themselves and not a single person tried to help. He could hear the click of heels pass by him. Was it so wrong to be blind? So wrong to be different? He already knew that he was different, his sexuality, his disability and by heavens, Fin had already spent every waking moment of his life wishing somewhere in the back of his mind that he could be like any other person on Earths. That he could see. But the world was a cruel, cruel god-forsaken place. "Leave me alone!" Fin raised his arms to shield himself.

But nothing.

That familiar musky scent filled his nose. "E-Ethan...?" Fin hesitantly called. His heart pounded in his chest and his hands reached out. Why couldn't he see? In Fin's world, it was just a sea of nothing, emptiness. His hands reached out and touched the sidewalk. His fingers felt the rough grooves of the ground and it etched a little picture into his mind. He was on the ground. But that was all, there was only so much his fingers could pick up. Where was his cane? His cane - Fin's eyes teared. He was so fucking useless. He was a waste of oxygen in this world, a piece of trash, just another piece of plastic piling up in the garbage. His heart clenched and his chest constricted.

Something pressed into his hand and Fin gasped, sharply pulling away, his entire frame trembling like a shaking leaf. Slowly, he let himself close his fingers around the thing - his cane. He pulled back, holding his cane to his chest. His breath came out in sharp intakes, audible and loud.

Finnegan Price was very, very afraid. What a cruel world.

Then, thick arms wrapped around his form and at first, he resisted. Then that musky scent of sweat and hospitals filled his nose and Fin slumped into his embrace. "E-Eth-Ethan!" he blubbered, his tiny hands clutching Ethan's shirt. "I-I'm so-so sorry!" Fin held onto Ethan like a drowning man, clutching onto him with all his might until his nerves calmed and he could hear the pounding of Ethan's heart against his ear. Thank God there was at least one person who cared.

"I can walk," Fin murmured. His legs were wobbly, shaken up by the entire ordeal. It had been a very long time since he'd been picked on like that.

He later found himself in a taxi, the soft rumble of the car almost soothing to his broken frame. "Talk to me," Ethan held onto Fin's hand, "I dunno if I had a chance to tell you but I'm a doctor. You may need to go to the hospital."

Fin squeezed Ethan's hand, finding comfort in even the smallest touch. "I'm fine," he muttered, "I'm used to it. Just bruises. Nothing's broken." Fin reached up to rub his nose, wincing as he did. It wasn't broken but it hurt like hell. They drove in silence for a while until Fin spoke.

"Your left leg..." Fin reached his right hand out, breaking away from Ethan's hold, and pressed it against Ethan's left knee. "You walk with a limp, I could tell. And you smell like the hospital. Your hands are rough, calloused." Fin grabbed Ethan's hand again and pressed his hand over the roughened skin. "When you talk, you have a sort of tone. But it's not as strong like the others," Fin clasped his hands together in his lap, "So I thought maybe it had been in the past - a veteran. I'm sorry." He chewed on his lip. "I always say the wrong thing. I'm so - so stupid." He touched his watch, tracing over the little bumps over and over again like a silent mantra.

Five hours, forty-three minutes, his watch said, until his concert.

He reached up to adjust his glasses then remembered they had been broken in the process. Sucking in a sharp breath, he let his hand fall to his lap and rapidly blinked his eyes. No matter how many times he opened and closed his eyes, he'd never see the world the way Ethan or anyone else did.

A b o u t _ M e

Currently a University student. Not particularly busy at the moment - on a break until the next semester. Until then, it's safe to say that I've got a lot of time on my hands.

M y _ W r i t i n g

Regarding my writing, I like to think my English is decent. Proper spelling, proper grammar. There's no doubt a mistake might pop up here and there, but that's just being human.

Because I am a University student and first semester is coming to a close, I'd love it if my future potential partner was patient. Posts will happen, for the better part, once a week. During any exam period, posts will vary between one post per week to one post per month. A month is a stretch, but it seems I'm still adjusting to University life. Between classes, studying, and maintaining some form of social relations, RP really is just a relaxing hobby to me. Please don't pester me for posts. But please do pester me if I don't respond within a month.

** It seems my supposed lack of posting has scared people off. I assure you, most days, I can pump out more than one post per day or one post every night.
Posts once a week generally occur around exam period.
Posts once a month generally occur during midterm period/finals period.

I am currently on break!
Therefore, I'll likely be able to post once a day, if not more.

In regards to writing style and length, I am definitely an aggressive writer. I like to move the plot along rather than simply responding to a post and I'd like my partner to do the same. I am a high-casual - advanced writer, ranging from a measely four paragraphs to several more (honestly, I don't count my paragraphs but I assume four is about the high casual range).

Smut is welcome - always welcome, and would prefer my partner to be open to it as well.

In terms of my partner, I'd appreciate one on equal ground as me in style, length, and speed or higher. It gives me something to look forward to at the end of the day.

The Boogeyman

The one that used to hide under the bed or the closet.
Children are terrified of them but are they - really scary at all?
Meet the Boogeymn. They say the Boogeyman is the quintessence of a monster. They say that he's nothing short of terrifying, that he's got the face of a nightmare. And perhaps he is. Perhaps he really is the monster behind every child's nightmare. But the only way to know the truth is to know the story of the Boogeyman.
When a child sleeps, a darkness lingers. It's like a shadow, the sort of shadow you might see in the corner of your eye. You'd look but nothing would be there. The shadow is a sort of darkness that preys on children. Rather, they prey on their innocence, looking to corrupt them. A Boogeyman is a hunter. He hunts at night and hides 'neath the bed or the closet and he captures the shadows. In a little glass jar, he seals them inside and he returns home where he adds yet another shadow to his collection.
If a Boogeyman fails, a child is riddled with nightmares.
It is only up to the Boogeyman to save them in silence.
Most children outgrow these shadows upon maturity and the Boogeyman becomes a forgotten fragment of their past. But there is one such child that the shadows are attached to and they never let go of him. Into adulthood, the shadows follow and so does the Boogeyman. But with every year that the once-child ages, it becomes harder to hide - harder to become a forgotten fragment in his memories. There is only so much the Boogeyman can do.

The Grimm Reaper

What happens after death?
They say when a person dies, they are sent to heaven or hell. But how?
This is the job of the Grimm Reaper. He collects the souls of the dead and with his all-knowing eyes, he sees everything. The secrets, the lies, the regret - he sees it all. Then he returns to Elysium, a obscure place that was once the beginning of everything. At Elysium, there are only three doors. First, the entrance in which he will enter and exit. Second, the door to Heaven. And third, the door to Hell.
It's a mundane job. Collecting souls and depositing them at the proper door.
Then one day, he comes across a little soul. It's small, a little brighter than the rest, and absolutely artificial. Unsure what to do with this man-made experiment, the Grimm Reaper leaves the little soul in Elysium until he can decide what to do with it.

This is based off a manga called the Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. I'll be taking a lot of elements off of it in terms of the game and its features but by no means will this be a fandom.

There is a new game out called 'Royal Road', and it's essentially a new, high-end, revolutionary virtual reality game. By entering a small capsule and submerging into sleep, the game allows you to enter a virtual world. If interested, PM me so we can discuss this further.

But the main part of it is - I'd love to have our characters meet and form a romance.

Alpha/Omega

The setting, I imagine, is the modern world. Whether there is the existence of supernaturals or not - that's up to you.

So in this world, only 1% of the population are born as alphas with their respective omegas. Now, alpha/omega could be known and worshipped in this world - or nothing more than a myth that happens to be true. Up to you.

Alphas are generally naturally dominating when they want to be. They can otherwise carry themselves as "losers" or "nerds" but when it comes down to it, they're naturally domineering and overpowered. They have sharper senses and are quicker at learning than the average human. All in all, a single hard stare from an alpha can have anyone crumbling down to their knees.

Omegas are naturally submissive to their respective Alpha. They can be big macho men but when it all comes down to it, they can't help but want to submit to their alpha. They're essentially built to please their alpha and satisfy whatever the alpha wants, and perfectly made for whatever the alpha's preference is. A single command from their alpha, and they can't help but comply because following orders and being praised just feels really, really good. The more rebellious omegas might try to fight it at first but will eventually succumb to their alpha's wishes. And who knows - maybe their alpha likes a feisty omega. (they're basically an alpha's whore lmfao).

But really, they're perfectly suited for each other. An alpha cannot survive without its omega and vice versa.

The Light in this World

X is blind. All his life, he's only known darkness.
Y has one leg. War changes a man.
There is a coffee shop just off 2nd Avenue in East Village of Manhattan. It's a little bit unknown, hidden by the allure of bigger and more attractive revenues, but it has its' regulars. Y likes to visit at night, and X visits in the morning.
One day, X and Y visit in the afternoon.

In the Mountain

They say there is a God in the Mountain.
X is weak. People no longer worship him and his home had slowly been hacked away by the very people who'd once looked up to him. At this rate, he'll disappear.
Y is a clumsy little angel. No one thinks very highly of him - but his unusually strong powers earns him envy from his peers.
And like the clumsy angel he is, Y trips (over nothing) and falls from his cloud (apparently his wings didn't work or something lmfao). Landing in a bushel of leaves and twigs, Y is injured with a sprained wing when X comes across him.
X helps Y out.

Together

Hider

A small abandoned child stranded in the mountains finds himself in the company of an enigmatic man. He does not speak much and when he does, often speaks in a language the child does not understand. But there is something alluring about the man - the way he would stare of into space, or smile to himself as though he'd seen something amusing. The child would look and would see nothing. But, without ever exchanging words, the child comes to recognize the man's home as his own.
Years later, the child has grown up into a handsome man and the man who'd offered him his home had not aged a single day. The once-child is taller than the man now.
There is a strange attraction between the once-child and the man. The man continues his days, peering off into nothingness, silently living his days in peace. The once-child is startled to find himself falling in love with the man. Driven by his desires, the once-child's touches become a little less innocent and a little bit of something more.
Without his knowledge, three-hundred years had passed.

Option 1

The once-child finds the bones of a young child. It is him. He'd already been dead for a very long time.
And the man?
A figment of his imagination, conjured in the midst of a desperate cry for companionship.

. A human wanders into the mountain and encounters the ghost.
. Ghost tries to live the rest of his days pretending the man was real

The Lake

This one actually has an entire plot from beginning to end. The RP will just be "inspired" by it or loosely based or will follow along what's written.
Oh - this plot is inspired by a book I read a long time ago, lmao.

It's always raining here. The ground is always wet, the sky always gray, and there is something unsettling about this place.
Just beyond the abandoned house, there is a lake. It's gloomy murky waters seem to be hiding something - something unnatural.
X is new to town. He has high hopes - rebuilding the home and making the property come alive again. But there's something in the lake... something strange. At night, he dreams of the lake and it calls to him like a hazy mist in the back of his mind. Then one day, Y shows up at his door step. X can't quite place it but there's something strange about Y.
Y claims to be a previous owner of the house and offers to show X a hidden room. Intrigued, he accepts Y's offer and Y reveals a hidden library. It's massive and utterly impressive. X can't believe he'd never noticed it before. Somewhere in the back of his mind, a little voice tells him that there is something strange about the entire thing but Y is alluring and X is easily enamored by him.
He loses time, talking to Y and exploring the library. He likes talking to Y. Y shows him books and with every book that opens, the story seems to comes alive. It's as if they are in the story itself. X and Y explore many books together.
How long has it been?
X can't remember but he doesn't care. He likes Y.
It's like a never ending dream. Food and water is a foreign concept. With Y, there's no need to eat or sleep. But when they've gone through all the books, X does the most dangerous thing of all. He remembers.He remembers that he has a life, that he needed to return - it was time to leave. But Y won't let him go.
The library is no longer the sparkling and dazzling place it once was. It becomes a prison to X. Y tries to cheer him up, tries to lure him into X's favorite stories but X wants to leave. Unable to see X so upset, Y convinces X to take one more adventure to one more story.
Y's story.
When it ends, X wakes up in the middle of one of many empty rooms in his run-down home. His stomach hurts with hunger gnawing at it, and his mouth is dry. But Y's story is still on his mind. How long has it been? X stands but his legs are wobbly and skinny, his stomach dipping inward and his ribs clearly visible. He eats and picks up the newspapers left outside the door.
Four days. Time had passed without him knowing. But X doesn't care. He picks up the phone and calls the police.
"There is a dead body in the lake."

The Lion is King, fierce and charmingly cruel.
The Unicorn is Prince, delicate and lithe.
In a world where the lions and unicorns are on the verge of war, the Prince is handed to the King in an offering of peace. The Lion accepts. The threatening war is reigned in, and the lions do not bother the unicorns. The Lion is gentle with the Prince, so kind and cunningly sweet. The Prince knows that it is all no more than an act but he can't help but drown under the Lion's sickly sweet words. Before he knows it, his eyes are always searching for the King.
This is the story of the Lion and the Unicorn.

C R A V I N G

First - apologies for the lack of ideas. I've got a craving to write but nothing in particular to write about. I'm hoping that someone might be able to suggest an idea or plot.

Second - I'm having a strange craving for something involving monsters. A creature or human with a particularly bad reputation finds solace in someone who sees him as something more than his namesake.

Third - Sleep is also meddling with my mind right now so I'll end it here and start tomorrow fresh with more ideas - hopefully.
