Biography
Background:
Lowin's family were proud members of the Azaki (the four were the only survivors, and their clan never had a historic background to live up to). Her mother was a housewife and her father was a Jonin of the Sand. After an encounter with an unidentified enemy, her father was left with permanent back pain and began drinking to dull it. Lowin's father took his drunken rage out on Lowin, her mother and her little brother. Her mother forced to work in a brothel and Lowin began training with instructors after school hours to become stronger. Her mothers clients harassed Lowin regularly, and Lowin had been assaulted multiple times. Lowin's younger brother was killed by her father during an alcohol-induced beating. Lowin snapped, screaming at her father and knocking him unconscious after he broke a bottle on her left leg, leaving a permanent scar. Despite this, her mother refused to join her in search for a new home without her father, and she left alone.
Today:
Lowin wanders from Village to Village, not genuinely in search for anything but a distraction. She hopes to find a saving grace in someone, something or somewhere. Lowin goes on the hunt for her molesters when her anger gets the most of her, and she takes them down no matter what challenge lies in her way. Lowin makes money by gambling and is banned from multiple Villages for cheating and stealing.
Personality:
Lowin avoids using her birth name and keeps it hidden, since the name was given to her by her father. Lowin instead calls herself Hoshi, which was her younger brother's name. Lowin is socially awkward but positive. She rarely loses her composure despite lacking a verbal filter. She isn't shy or modest, but she shuts down when the topic of her past comes up. She has a hard time learning Justus and usually resorts to her physical strength in a fight. Lowin has a knack for gambling and has been run out of Villages for cheating (as she usually does). Lowin is quiet, reserved and insightful. She pays attention to details, her mind always running. She rarely expresses any emotion outside of anger, and she knows how to fall back and wait for the proper moment to strike. Lowin has a hard time falling into the category of "team medic" and more times than not, she pushes her way to the front of the attack and risks taking damage. Lowin is brave, gold-hearted and ruthless.

Special Traits
Lowin knows how to use Genjutsu as a torture device (or, as she likes to say, "persuasive tool") and her attention to detail along with her constantly running mind makes her one to find clues that might go unnoticed (she uses this most for gambling). She has the brute strength of Sakura and uses it whenever necessary. Lowin is very persuasive and is very hot headed, which drives her into situations she can't always handle. She is nimble and refuses to accept the title of "damsel in distress" during times of battle.

Lowin is most skilled with her Kunai knives and ninja stars that she stole from her fathers old uniform. She carries a thin, 2-foot long sword she won in a bet on her hip at all times, despite not having much talent with it.
