Bio

A writer, artist, animator, worldbuilder. In short, jack of all trades, master of some.

For the most part, I've retired from roleplaying. For quite a long time, what kept me tied to RPG was the Spam community—but even that I have distanced myself from. Now, my focus is on the writing contests.

I consistently try to write reviews for RPGC, and I consistently enter the Twelve Labours.

First labour; world of Archipelago, Jack.
Challenge: an unwelcome death.
For next entry: characterization.

Second labour; world of Uberpowered, Émile.
Challenge: an unfortunate fortune.
For next entry: pacing.

Third labour; world of Cinderlore, Caerys.
Challenge: an unforgiving ambition.
For next entry: proofreading.

Fourth labour; world of Supers, Joshua.
Challenge: an uncompromising betrayal.
For next entry: development.

Fifth labour; world of Mutamorphis, Olrich.
Challenge: an unrepressed motive.
For next entry: development, dammit.

Sixth labour; world of Mythos, Melas.
Challenge: an untenable alliance.
For next entry: dénouement.

Seventh labour; world of Hatemongers, Talahn.
Challenge: an unbearable sacrifice.
For next entry: cast utilization.

Eigth labour; world of Mythica, Céline.
Challenge: an unwinnable challenge.
For next entry: plot cohesion.

Ninth labour; world of Nardja, Albiorn.
Challenge: an unknowing accomplice.
For next entry: narrative set-up.

Tenth labour; world of Magestones, Ariana.
Challenge: an unwilling inspiration.
For next entry: narrative set-up, dammit.

That's odd, I had just been shown this game yesterday by a friend.

My high score so far is 34, but I usually float in the 26-31 area.

What would you want your character to be named in a serious story?

Holmishire sounds to me like something that could be used as a surname. Alternatively, I'm happy to go by Holmi or Shire, with Levi as a last resort. If for whatever reason I ever become female, I also like Holly, though I can't imagine that's likely.

List any names for Starships you would want to use.

The Lolishire, wink wink. But really, Ghosttown, Soulgatherer, the Shepherd, the Ghost, Overghost.

If you were in charge of a ship or a fleet in a space battle, what strategies would you use?

Evasion, sniping with large projectiles and explosives, manipulating the bi-directional effects of force to both escape enemies and throw stuff at them simultaneously.

EDIT: Basically a chaos of little ships all evading the enemy in a variety of directions while using the cover of celestial objects to switch directions and confuse followers. Every ship manages its own tactics, while shooting any enemies that happen to be tailing an ally.

Do you have any ideas for names of planets?

Uhh, just randomly, Rennel, Alxita, Trigone, Ilfearya, Sakkenore, Oldo. The Reconstructed Planetary Glomeration.
If I did make a list, I'd probably have to make at least four. Those who entertain me the most, through wit and joke and stuff. Those I admire. Those I consider friends. And those I just kinda like these days, recent times in particular.
Ignore the fact that this makes eight.

Well, I meant send Roman to the roof with the others, not have him trapeze him way in through the bottom floor on his own. Though you raise a good point with checking for other exits.

Nah, I was mostly deconstructing a way someone might interpret my deconstruction of Jorick's plan. I understood your stuff. Roman is actually particularly suited to indoors combat, so putting him on the roof is a good idea.

Those Reinforcements may be called back if South and East start to struggle. Failing to send them back may result in forces penetrating through those barriers.

By the way, send those reinforcements back. i dun wanna die

As for the Retrieval plan, I agree with Tempest's logos. As said by Querzi, Eira is unlikely to fit. Neither she—nor Paris, a sniper—are designed for indoor combat, as far as I can tell. And sending Roman in alone is also a bad idea, even if sneaking around is his specialty. Although, would it be a good idea to have Paris and Roman sneak around the building first, just to make sure there aren't any obvious exits? We could then place our three sensor packages—Eira's armadillo and Paris's tripwire and drone—in such vulnerable places while the organics watch the entrance or whatever.

(Also, Brovo, just because I forgot to clarify in response to my armadillo-bomb, grenade-sized explosion it is, if it means avoiding having it explode off my back.)

The problem is I highly doubt Eira's mech will fit inside.
