Bio

A writer, artist, animator, worldbuilder. In short, jack of all trades, master of some.

For the most part, I've retired from roleplaying. For quite a long time, what kept me tied to RPG was the Spam community—but even that I have distanced myself from. Now, my focus is on the writing contests.

I consistently try to write reviews for RPGC, and I consistently enter the Twelve Labours.

First labour; world of Archipelago, Jack.
Challenge: an unwelcome death.
For next entry: characterization.

Second labour; world of Uberpowered, Émile.
Challenge: an unfortunate fortune.
For next entry: pacing.

Third labour; world of Cinderlore, Caerys.
Challenge: an unforgiving ambition.
For next entry: proofreading.

Fourth labour; world of Supers, Joshua.
Challenge: an uncompromising betrayal.
For next entry: development.

Fifth labour; world of Mutamorphis, Olrich.
Challenge: an unrepressed motive.
For next entry: development, dammit.

Sixth labour; world of Mythos, Melas.
Challenge: an untenable alliance.
For next entry: dénouement.

Seventh labour; world of Hatemongers, Talahn.
Challenge: an unbearable sacrifice.
For next entry: cast utilization.

Eigth labour; world of Mythica, Céline.
Challenge: an unwinnable challenge.
For next entry: plot cohesion.

Ninth labour; world of Nardja, Albiorn.
Challenge: an unknowing accomplice.
For next entry: narrative set-up.

Tenth labour; world of Magestones, Ariana.
Challenge: an unwilling inspiration.
For next entry: narrative set-up, dammit.

<Snipped quote by Holmishire> this is not the answer I thought would come of this question. I was waiting for the "She was a notorious jail-baiting 15 year old whore" at least that is how I would have described myself... based on my behaviour in previous years. I'm glad I've matured so much since all of those shenanigans... I've moved on to just being a puppy loving faithful lover. :'D

Note: I am not in a relationship with a dog/puppy... he is a real man...

I think?

Justttt kidding I know he's 100% man

I don't like to let the past ruin a person's future. Also, I mostly knew you by reputation, so I preferred giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Either way, I'm glad you've had some success since some of those—other—things. I'll leave the rest of the pampering to the people who actually matter. ;]
I have just submitted my entry. Compared to my first draft, it is vastly condensed—but I feel it is better this way.

Some of you who followed OldGuild's WotM contests may recognize some of the characters.

no seriously who is Kyuki

How exactly do you want us to respond? What answer will be sufficient?

Kyuki is a female member of RPG who was very active at a couple points in the history of the Spam subforum. She went through some tough stuff at school, came back to give an update and seek support, disappeared for a while again, and now is back to check in now that her life has taken a turn for the better, relatively speaking.

She has at various points had sets emphasizing cute dogs.

All of them read grammatically to me. The eighth one is tricky, on a first read-through it fails but as I begin to parse it I can bring myself to read it naturally. The other five are 100% good in my books.
I finished my first draft—it sucks—but now that that's out of the way, I can completely rewrite it the way I actually wanted to with more confidence. It should go in either tonight or tomorrow.
Remember, kids: grammar is fun!

Descriptive grammar, maybe. Prescriptive is still lame.

I think you misunderstood his joke.

I get that a lot.
How did you get on a plane if you were only wearing a cardigan? How did you even get to the airport? Is public nudity not illegal where you're from?

I think you misunderstood his phrasing. It follows the same vein as "I arrived with Mike."

In other words, Azarthes, his dream, and his cardigan all hopped off the plane together, all three of them fully clothed. I hope this assuages your concerns, good chap.

Just going to tackle you now before you go any further - from the way you phrased it (having a difficult time finding a favorite character), I feel a need to ask if you were just having picking between your own characters, or whether or not you were trying to find one elsewhere. Just to clarify in case you didn't already know, you can only use your own character/s for this challenge.

Sorry if you already knew that and I'm pouncing on you for nothing. I just want to make sure this issue is buried.

Nah, 'twas just my various OCs from which I was trying to pick. I've scores of characters spread across a dozen or so worlds, but few stood out to me as individually remarkable.

Thank you for the tentative warning, though. I seem to be one of the few who didn't get mixed up.
I do believe I'll try my hand at this.

Finding a favourite character was tough, but now the real challenge lies ahead—I don't like to cheat myself out of a death, even if for but the duration of a contest. I must endeavour to formulate a death that both fits within the confines of the contest and the original narrative from which the character is borne.

Otherwise, it wouldn't be a challenge at all, amirite?
