Akane Hanazawa // Sapphire Inn - F1
Sunday, July 5th, 2015

It was decided that she'd be part of Rui's team, along with Kotori and Sato, to hit up the Inn entrance. Though, the initial enemies they faced in the early portion of the floor weren't even good enough to call it a proper warm up. It was just another case of 'going through the motions' but it's to be expected in the beginning of a dungeon, after all, lull the players into complacency and then hit them with a stronger wave when their guard is down. Well, that was how it usually goes, in games that is.

Thankfully, when they got closer towards the end of the floor, their enemy got upgraded and no longer facing cannon fodder. Well... the kind that goes down in one hit, at least. She smirked as her eyes fell on the black knight at the end of the hallway. Behind the knight was a giant incense pot that, according to Megumi, had one of the many people they detected from before, captured in it. Once Rui gave the attack order, she took the opposite side of him and matched his pace.

Like always, it was Rui and Akane being the lead attacked while Kotori and Sato were long distance support and just as they got closer to the knight, a shadow moved in from behind. Not bothering to slow down even a little, she ignored it and her faith was rewarded via a crack of lightning from Kotori. She was glad she wasn't given support this time. Akane has no problem with the support role....when behind a monitor or console at least but when she's actually in it, there's nothing like crushing your fist or weapon up close and personal.

Pressing onward as she charges in, she summons her persona. Regardless of the shadow's strength or type, she just hopes this one won't go down as easily as the others have. "Kill Rush"
Akane Hanazawa // Abandoned Warehouse
Sunday, July 5th, 2015

As she arrived at the warehouse, she glanced at everyone that's there. But given this and the messages, it seems like things are especially serious this time. Well, not like it has ever been NOT serious, given, you know, kidnapping and shadow stuff here and all but you know. It's supposedly just one person this go around, after the string of double dungeons we've had but....this many people for just 1? Hmm...

Megumi would then clarify that while there was only one person this time around, there was dozens of people inside and they were all be influenced by one person. It couldn't be the cult, not after that last time, right? They seemed so out of it and knew nothing about the Mirror world so... Well, in any case, it seems like shadows wouldn't be the only thing they'd be combating today. With a grin on her face, it was like an early birthday present or something.

Anyways, the only thing to note would be that hawk thats perched on Rui's shoulders. Isn't that the same one from before? As strange as that might seem to most people, stuff like that is becoming quite common place ever since she started all of this. "Oh, Looks like we've got ourselves our own mascot character, huh? Looks like him and Kazuki have already bonded." She laughed at his plight. This is getting more and more like a game.

Hopefully he won't suddenly turn into one was those talkative-annoying types or they just might be having some fried sparrowhawk for an after dungeon snack. Akane wasn't sure how they were going to sort who to do what, but as long as she gets a lot of the action and isn't overly crowded, it'll work itself out. Grabbing her katana, she made her way towards the mirror as she waited for the others to get ready so they can leave.
Blair - Soul Sacrifice

Blair knew that the spikes wouldn't hold the thing for long but she certainly didn't see those immobilizing spells coming, though. Such a beast was capable of those kind of spells? Hmm... It was as if the monster knew what her real intention was, or was just simply making sure it's prey wasn't going to get away or both. But no matter, she was far enough. It was now or never, if she intends to detonate the blood, she had to do it quickly before the monster gets other ideas.

While her movements might've been halted with it's spells, it didn't prevent her from using her spells and with a swift decision, Blair detonated the blood on and around the beast. She followed that up by casting her Bloody Sunday spell, sending a flurry of countless number of smaller and weaker blood spikes raining down upon the beast. Regardless of the damage from those attacks, it matters not. Like before, it's simply a measure to buy more time for her to cast her next spell.

Putting her palms on the ground, she began chanting as a pool of blood began taking form on the ground. In moments, the blood began taking shape in the form of two decent sized golems. They were slightly taller than the average human and had a thicker, roundish build. These were what she'd call her 'Tank Golems', made with no offensive power and it's purpose was to absorb hits and keep it's targets focus away from the caster. In this situation, it's probably more accurate to call them 'Bait Golems'.

Given the brain sucker relies on hearing, and probably smell as well, she'd have the golems charge towards the monster, drawing it's attention with it's thunderous stomps and latch onto it and hold it in place. If it does have a sense of smell, the sent of blood emanating off the golems should be strong enough to block her own scent. While the two keep it distracted, she'll make her leave and continue her mission.

After all, she doesn't have the time to waste on such a creature. The Archangel was one thing but this one holds no priority and it's not like she gets paid for overtime work. Not worth the hassle.

After School

With the sound of the bell, the school day is over with and Akane can finally escape the classroom. Packing up her things in a quickened pace, she bolted from the room. On her way to the manga club room, she stopped at one of the vending machines and as she was putting in her change and getting her drink started to think about the upcoming comiket. Due to the whole dungeon exploring they've been doing lately, the event totally slipped her mind. With each case, Akane made a number corresponding chapters so she has a good deal of content but considering this will be her first event solo (she worked with her upperclassmen last year) it would be best to compact it and put out a one-shot first.

For the one-shot, she'll be going in with the idea of producing 50-70 or so pages for this one. Quite lengthy for a typical one-shot, especially since she's not an established artist, but considering all the content she's dealing with, it'll take AT LEAST that much to make sense of it and she's not one to cut corners. Granted, given the amount of characters and shadows, it might quite the challenge to get all of them across in that amount of pages (at least as much she'd like) but if it wasn't challenging, it wouldn't be fun. Then again, she can just focus one 1-2, maybe even 3, shadows and if it gets a good reaction, continue as a series of one-shots. Who knows, if the one shot gets a great reaction, she can try prettying it up and turning it in to an editor.

Finishing her drink, she continues on her way. As she makes her way towards the clubroom, the girl they saved last week popped into her head. Even if she didn't really expect anything with that open invite, she couldn't help but wonder if she'd actually drop by. Unless she read her wrong and wasn't interested, it has been a few days since she returned to school after all. Though, if she wasn't, it'd be a rare case for Akane since her intuition is usually spot on. Arriving at the club building, she made her ways towards the room before stopping upon the sight of a seemingly unfamiliar girl standing in front of the clubroom. Taking a better look at the girl, it came to her and she smiled. So she came after all.

Taking advantage of the fact Shizuka hadn't taken notice of her yet, Akane snuck up from behind her and, moments after opening the door, placed her hands on Shizuka's shoulders, leaned it and whispered into her ear. "H-e-l-l-o...", intentionally dragging out the letters for effect.

Interrupting her leisurely stroll through the side path was a certain abomination. Having heard her steps, it moved in closer and within view. The sight of that 'thing' caused a sensation to swell up inside her, one of disgust. It's been sometime since Blair last seen something so....revolting. It was now clear why the path was clear, not only the sight of that disgusting creature but with the fact that there was corpses littered about not far off.

She was left with two options, hide and wait it out or confront it and remove it from this world. Given how it reacted earlier, she can surmise the creature cannot see her but definitely hears her. She wasn't sure about it's other senses but it'd probably be better to assume it retains its other senses. After all, one wrong guess and things can get quite....annoying. And on that note, sitting around and hiding, waiting for the thing to pass by, might not turn out all that great.

Especially if it still retained its sense of smell. She'd rather not waste her time on such a thing, but it probably can't be helped. Having decided on engaging this abomination, she decided on her battle plan. Blair had a feeling that engaging in close combat probably wouldn't be a good idea. Best to keep distance between it and engage it from long range. Taking advantage of the fact that it can't see, she casted her Blood Spike Projection spell to make 4 good size blood spikes to surround the brain sucker and impale it.

Blair doubted it would stop the thing but it was a measure to buy a few moments for her to spread blood around around the monster. Once done, she would detonate the blood, using the timing to further distance herself from it and give her a potential escape option, should the moment, to slip past it and carry on her mission, ever presents itself. Either way, she needs to keep a safe distance.
Yea, she might identify it as the 'Saito Groups' crest but not directly connecting it to Akane because it's not like Jun and Akane are bffs or childhood friends or anything remotely close and Akane wasn't really involved in the family business at all. She would come to know of it as she grew up but wasn't involved.

Wakizashi. That crest. Seems familiar... Akane's clan?

Reaper, it should be said that no one in warakuma should be aware of Akane's yakuza ties. She's not from warakuma, moving here to attend high school, and she doesn't carry her fathers name (using her mothers maiden name) while in Warakuma. While it can be known that her father has a daughter named 'Akane', It's not exactly a rare name and wouldn't indicate her being the same person. Not to mention her appearance is quite different from before, and on top of how she acted before her dungeon, she was basically a whole different person.

After arriving at the destination, she saw for herself how strange the area was. It's weather cycles and sense of time was also beyond warp and according to the morph's, this was all done by a lone demon. If that was the case, that's the kind of power Lord Mundus would want to have on his side, which made this mission ever the more important.

However, it's going to be a pain getting in. It isn't something like an overly powerful enemy, but more along the lines of irritation and unnecessary delays like how it was last time. They were unruly, maddened and completely mindless, well, they had to have been if they attacked her of all people. So while she isn't big on sneaking around, she dislikes having her time wasted fighting trash even more so.

Since it was decided for her to go in through the back, according to the information given by the morph's, there seemed to be a garden here that she could move through to get to the cathedral's backdoor. Picking the path she felt the least presence from, she headed right. Whether she'd succeed in avoiding fodder, remains to be seen.
Finally got off my ass to post, added some foreshadowing to my shit post. Time to go back to doing nothing for awhile.....oh wait, I also owe a post in TRW.....damnit

After School

Having spent Tuesday relieving the early week stress at the Kendo club, she decided to skip kendo for today and head straight to the Manga Clubroom. After all, on top of the dungeon aftermath, with the detective, she had multiple sightings of her fathers henchmen wherever she went. It was hard not to notice their horrible attempts at disguising themselves, totally not natural. It was like she was in a bad comedy or something and simply dismissing them won't work, since different ones would take their place.

It was all very irritating, ever since her father came to see her that day.... "That bastard...using brother's condition to--" Interrupting her mumbling was the sound of her pencil breaking, having crushed it in her anger. "Damnit..." she cursed under her breath as she walked over to her things and grabbed another one. Ever since then, Akane has been in a foul mood, though, she been able to act normally since then (given how she was before).

After heading home from the short visit (if you can even call it that) to the hospital, she made efforts draw but her mind was elsewhere and eventually gave up and went to bed. Yesterday was the same story so she went all out at kendo practice, while it did help a little, Akane couldn't find satisfaction in her drawings. Whether it was because they didn't meet her lofty standards or it was because she wasn't into it (or a little of both), it was all the same.

With a sigh, she put down the pencil and gazed out the window in the comfort of her bean bag chair. There's no need... I'm sure he'll be fine, he always was, after he....I wont do it, never.
