IMPORTANT MESSAGE (Well, not, like...that important. Like mildly important) I'll be adding another post soon. But also we should all try to wrap up the first day soon! After all these sports practices are over, students should be back at the dorms. Interesting things will be happening the day and night of the bonfire!
Sam Sam almost scowled at the two boys. Part of him was glad that he hardly talked to anyone on the team. He didn't find the immaturity of some of them all that appealing. But, he remained quiet and turned his back to the bleachers. He just really wanted to get this practice over with. ""Yes, I'll be taking my music shit from you now." He heard someone say from behind him. Sam turned back slightly, craning his neck to look behind him. The same girl was giving his teammate a vaguely murderous look. Her hand was stretched out in front of her with the palm out. Sam laughed quietly, to himself. The girl had some fire in her.
Man all these OTPs are hard to keep track of.
Sam Sam had just walked out onto the field when he noticed that all of his teammates were gathered around, staring in particular direction. A girl had somehow made her way onto the field and she looked completely flustered. Papers were scattered around her as she tried to pick them up. One of his teammates, Jamie, scolded the rest of the team for just staring at her and walked forth to help her. Sam was close enough that he made his way over and picked up the nearest papers. She was still red in the face when he handed them to her. He thought he might have seen her around a few times before, but he wasn’t too sure. “Here you go,” he said with a polite smile. Martha “It’s…okay. Just, uh, be careful the next time, okay?” The boy said. Martha gave him a weird look. Right as he had said it, he squinted his eyes for a moment and shook his head slightly. “I mean, not in a bad way. Just, you know, maybe ty not to cover your eyes while you’re walking?” He said weakly. He then proceeded to smile but it just seemed very unnatural for him. It was a tight smile. Martha guessed that his face often stayed the same expression. She stared up into his yellow-green eyes and gave him a small smile back, but it was only to be nice. “I’ll take that into consideration next time. Sorry for the mishap.” She chuckled quietly, giving a nod of her head in his direction and then made her way around him. Very handsome boy. Martha continued on her way back to the dorm, all the while her head pounding more and more with each step she took. She nearly ran to her room as soon as she made it Dorsey, and immediately flung the door open to the somewhat small space. As soon as she drew the curtains, Martha dove into the curtains of her bed, not even bothering to take off her school clothes first. Just a little nap would suffice.
Holy cow, so many posts. I'll get my next one up real quick here!
Appearance:
Name: Jessie (Jess) Philips. Age: Fourteen. Year: First. Normal or Supernatural: Supernatural. Jess is, to put it simply, a phoenix hybrid. A human fused with the likes of mythology, Jess was born with a set of deep red feathered wings, spanning about fifteen feet. As she grew older, she acquired abilities related to that of a phoenix—immunity to fire, heightened instincts, and a signature tattoo of a crest (which had begun to form at the age of eleven) just below her left collarbone. Personality: A girl that has otherwise embraced her inner-fire, Jess is a hot-headed, loudly spoken individual. She carries herself with confidence, and is often said to be intimidating by those around her. She is stubborn and a bit on the rough side, lacking an understanding of empathy, which ultimately leaves her with very limited company. Bio: She has very little memory of her father, a man who had allegedly died during her earlier years, her mother claiming it had been a car crash that ended his life. However, even at an early age, Jess knew this was utterly impossible, as there was simply no way that a man with Phoenix blood coursing through his veins would have died in such a mundane incident. Jess came to the conclusion that the man had vanished—or rather, had gone to reside elsewhere with his own kind than with the likes of humans. It was no secret, though, that Jess held abilities similar to her father. While he could wield fire and control it at his will, Jess soon realized she was immune to it. Her mother thought lowly of her abilities, longing for a child that fit in a world of normalcy. Although her mother attempted to interest her daughter in things like cooking, knitting, and playing with dolls, Jess was far too fascinated by her Phoenix heritage. Living in Montana, where the population generally remained constant, Jess was able to fly to her heart’s content, and roam around the scattered forests surrounding her small cottage of a house. In the day time, her schedule consisted of home school, followed by piano lessons, and ‘play time’. Being that Jess was… well, different, her mother confined her lone daughter, refusing to allow her to interact with others. Her night time schedule did not hold much adventure for young Jess. Her mother worked as a nurse on the night shift, and Jess was to return home promptly at seven o’clock each night. Jess grew exceedingly tiresome of the same routine, her years spent day in and day out abiding to her mother’s strict rules. Jess was, under no condition, a little girl any longer. She couldn’t be held hostage forever. Days later, Jess received an ominous letter to attend a prestigious school, for she’d finally come of age. Despite her mother’s efforts to keep her home, Jess had decided to go, stating that this would be a great opportunity to be with others her age. She would be careful, as she’d spent her whole life hiding. Surely it wouldn’t be that difficult. After a long discussion, her mother finally gave in, and reluctantly permitted her daughter to go to Northwood. How You Came To The School: Invitation. Her mother could not afford the costs, so a full scholarship was given to her. Dorm: Dorsey Hall.

Sorry! Didn't see this until now. You are accepted.
Sam Rivers After the last period of the day Sam made his way to the locker rooms to change for football practice. Although it was probably going to earn him a punishment, he didn’t think he was going to make it to soccer workouts today. It was right after football practice and Sam just didn’t have the right motivation to attend today. Plus he wasn’t even sure if he was going to continue with soccer this year. If anything he was going to get more scholarships playing football than soccer. When he arrived at his destination most of the team was already there. As usual, he said hi to whoever greeted him first and then tried to lay low. People at school thought he was a loner but that was far from the truth. He associated with a few people…but it was very limited. It was no secret that he was good at football. Actually, Sam was good at all sports. His energy never seemed to run out of energy and he was very strong. If he was being honest, he kind of hated football. And he knew the coach wasn’t too fond of Sam, mostly because he wasn’t very outgoing. Coach only liked the boys that kissed his ass all the time. But if you’re good at something, why waste talent? And anyway, he still needed to get scholarships to pay for college because he knew his mom certainly wouldn’t be able to fund it. Martha Jacobs Martha’s head was throbbing by the end of the school day. It had been about two hours since it had started to ache slightly and by the pain was almost unbearable. As soon as class ended she made her way outside to get some fresh air, hoping it would at least help a little. But each step she made on the hard concrete seemed to make her whole body vibrate causing her head to throb even more. As she made her way to her dorm building she let out a sigh and put one hand over her forehead to block her eyes from the bright sun. It was at this time, with one hand blocking her vision, she ran straight into someone much taller and bigger than her. It was a wonder that she didn’t see him before but Martha supposed that she hadn’t really been paying much attention to her surroundings. Her main focus had been on the awful headache she was experiencing and how wonderful it would be to lie on her bed. And maybe if her roommate wasn’t there she could draw the shades and sit in complete darkness and wait for the pain to subside. She stumbled back a little and looked up, startled. Martha stared up at the boy she had just bumped into, and found herself caught by his intense but surprised gaze. He was completely still, unaffected by the weak force of her thin body. “O-oh, sorry,” she stammered, face turning pink. “I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going. My bad.”
Hmm. Do we have a swimming pool or is swim practice held in the lake?
RomanAria
Swimming pool.
By the way everyone, I've fixed a few things on the Announcements post in the IC section. I made it so there weren't so many conflicting times so that if you want, your character can be in more than one sport.
Both Nero and Sidine are accepted.
IAmThea
Is Terra?
Kirah
Oh yeah of course! Haha, I thought I had already said that but I guess not.
