She laughed and shook her head a little as he mentioned letting someone else wait on him. "I had considered it, but you know I figured I would take pity on you and save you from Beth's attempts to get you back to her place, unless of course you might be interested." She teased before looking pointedly over her shoulder to where Beth could be seen taking another table close by, standing so she could watch the two of them.

She cocked her hip resting her thigh against the edge of the table. "Well I don't want to make your job TOO easy." She teased. "I suppose I could throw you to the wolves for the night and run past once in a while to let you know I am still alive and kicking."

He asked about specials and she just rolled her eyes. Specials are a restaurants way of getting rid of food before it gets to the point where the health department makes them throw it out. "Oh trust me, they really aren't that special, but tonight we have open faced roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy. Meatloaf, green beans, and mashed potatoes. And a chef salad." She recited from memory.

She rolled her shoulders a little to relieve some tension. One of the downsides of this line of work was carrying all the trays was hell on the upper back and arms. She had already been running from table to table as the place had filled. It would be busy for a while then get pretty quiet until the late night crowd hit.
I am on and off the site with a crazy busy schedule, so I am looking for a fast paced casual level RP. I came across an idea of two characters being in a group Skype chat and eventually they are the only two left, so they make a bet on who can stay up the latest. This goes on night after night until they start falling for each other.

I am thinking this could be a fun fast paced Kik, or Hangouts style RP. Nothing serious, just a little fun to break up long boring days.

Message me here for handles on other messengers.

I prefer Female Characters, but I can double as male.
nice!
My Problem hasn't been with work or business or momming. It has been with emergencies. This year will be the second time in my life I am shopping for Cemetery Plots and Christmas presents all at the same time.

I also treat it like a job, and I allow myself to "write" posts in my head while I am doing other things. If I have to I use a digital voice recorder and record short snippets of ideas. But it is very easy to let my mind wander while sewing certain things because of good machine feet, and pure muscle memory LOL So I can be sewing straight lines on 5 yards of something and writing a mental post at the exact same time. You get used to multi tasking.
@SinfulSkills BWAHAHAHAHA So.. I totally had a bit of dialogue pop into my head today at work. hehehehehe Poor Serge

"Hey Lucy. I really REALLY need you to work a double tonight." Bill the owner shouted from behind the bar across the empty dining room. The dinner rush over, and at this hour not a lot of customers in the bar.

"Not going to happen." She said as she wiped down a table moving the salt and pepper shakers to the edge to remind herself to fill them.

"Oh C'mon... I'll make it worth your while."

"About that... See that really hot guy at table 35? Yeah, I am taking that home with me tonight, so unless you can beat that... Not going to happen." She said. She really shouldn't tease Serge like that really, but she was exhausted, and he was a damn good excuse to not work a double. Midnight couldn't come fast enough for her. It was only about 7 and the place was dead. It would pick up in the bar in about an hour or so, but the dining room would be pretty quiet until the drunks came in after the bar closed.

@SinfulSkills its going really well got a line on a new job too. m-f 9-5
She laughed and shook her head as he mentioned a reverse ransom. It would probably work. She could be a giant pain in the ass, but she was a cute pain in the ass so it all worked out... mostly.

She watched the tension creep into Serge's every move as he kept glancing over at her getting ready for work. She wasn't a huge fan of what she went to work looking like, but it did help her get better tips, and it kept her work persona separate from her daily life. She had in the past run into regulars on the street and there had not even been the slightest flicker of recognition. She liked it that way. She didn't enjoy the flirtations and nonsense chatting at work, but she did it.

She gave him a grin as he mentioned it was the best magic trick he had ever seen and just shook her head. "Nah, I can do better, but probably not in a moving vehicle without more time and better lighting. Just ask Elias, he'll tell you this is nothing." She said reminding him of the earlier conversation when he told her the kid was a master of disguise. "Hmmm, come to think of it, he might be more helpful than the youtube videos." She said with a shrug.

She turned her head towards him as he began to give her instructions on a good table, and about the screams. She nodded knowingly she had figured as much. She better warn him about all the noise that came from kitchens. "Got it, but fair warning there is always a lot of yelling and crashing coming from a kitchen. I promise if I need you I will scream though." She told him honestly.

She slipped from the car and nodded her thanks. She was getting used to letting him get the door for her, even though in her mind it was rather pointless. She laughed as he told her not to get kidnapped. "Yes Dear," she told him playfully. "Although I promise they would give me right back." She wrinkled her nose in a playful smile as she turned to head into work. It was the second she crossed the threshold that she changed again. She no longer walked with a single sided purpose, she sauntered, glided almost. The disheveled, crabby, insecure Lucia he had met today was gone.

She headed straight for the computer terminal at the bar and clocked in, before grabbing a sheet of paper and making a small reserved sign. They didn't have sections here, they just took tables as they came in no matter where they were. She knew where she was going to stick Serge though. There was one booth in the corner that gave him a good view of the front door, the emergency exit, the entrance to the kitchen area, and a decent look at both the bar and dining areas. She made her way across the dining room floor to put her sign on the table and waved at the two other girls who were working the dinner shift tonight.

Sharon was an older lady who had been doing this a long time. She could have been anywhere from her mid forties to late fifties. No one knew for sure, and no one was going to ask. Beth was young, she was probably only 21, maybe 22. She was cute, blonde and perky. Well perky until there was real work to be done, and then she claimed to be exhausted. Lucia knew she was going to have her work cut out for her tonight.

She didn't have to wait long to start the chaos that was her job. In this business you can go from completely empty, to a line out the door in minutes. Why people came here, she had no idea... it was probably the waitress uniforms... oh and the beer. There was always a beer special. She greeted her first table with a smile. College kids... she hated these tables. They ran her back and forth and rarely tipped worth a damn. She took their order and managed not to roll her eyes as one of them finished "Oh, and of course your phone number." She just smiled sweetly and looked over at Sharon with a grin. Sharon always got a laugh out of the phone number she gave them. "Sure thing Darlin... You ready?" She waited a minute as more than one cell phone made an appearance. "It's Eight, Six, Seven" She paused giving them time to punch it in. "Five three Oh nine." She finished then gathered the menus and walked away.

She could almost feel the change in the atmosphere when Serge walked through the door. She was damn near afraid Beth was going to knock her over as she tried to rush through running food to a table so she could beat Lu to waiting on Serge. Lu had decided though that since he was going to be around all night it would make sense to just take care of it. Not to mention this way she could check in with him and let him know she was alright. She grabbed a glass of water, a roll of silverware and a menu and headed over to his table. She set the water in front and to his right, the silverware to the left and slid the menu in front of him.

"Welcome. I am Lucy. I will be your waitress tonight. Can I get you started with something to drink? We have both Coke and Pepsi products." She said with a smile. She found that if she smiled when she talked it was much easier to avoid sounding bored. She finally took a minute to look him over. Damn that was an incredibly fine man. Maybe she should have let Beth take the table, not that it would have made a difference, she had to live with this man for at least the next several days.
