"You are very silly, friend." He smiled at the man, as if he were a friend, dismissing any idea of a partner due to his obvious lack of sanity. "I haven't spoken to someone like you in a while. Why don't you stay a while? I'd love the company, and I can tell you more about this world."

At that point a hissing would be heard from behind the man. "If you want to go so badly you can," he said, letting go of him. At that point a skeletal creature would leap out from behind Joseph, attempting to attack him. A ray of light would disintegrate the creature, rendering it into a pile of ashes.

"Hideous creatures, preying on the weak." He realised that he could have just offended the man, so then said, "Not that you are weak. You could totally defend yourself." He paused for second to think. "You could go now if you wanted... or you could tag along with me." The truth is, Parell was getting lonely. Working on your own to exorcise spirits was tiring and since there was no companionship involved he found himself always bored.
@alexfangtalon

That's a shame.

"Bloody lake?" He looked down to see the man's footwear covered in the scum from Lago de Sangre Humana. He eased up a bit and flung the knife away before restraining both of his arms by the elbows in a strong grip. "I guess you aren't from around here, coupled with your odd clothing and mannerisms. He sighed. The person was either an amnesiac or someone from another place... even world.

He spoke softly and kindly, "That place is known as Lago de Sangre Humana. It's a lake, as you said, filled with human blood and bodies. Not a nice place for a newcomer like you. It's become a sort of natural phenomena - and the more that die, the bigger it gets. I don't really know how it started, but I assumed it was made by some dark force with a skill in blood magic. Not me."

He took a deep breath. This could be a long day. "I am Parell Nouin, exorcist against trapped spirits. I free them like so." His hands glowed brightly around the man's elbows, transferring a feeling of warmth. "I work against dark forces. Who might you be, traveller? I know it can be rude to ask, but I can assure you I am a trustworthy person."
"What brings you he-" Parell cut himself off as the man's demeanour. "So it'll be that way, I guess." He raised both his arms to cover his face to prevent the knife cutting it. "Are you a madman?" He surely was acting like a lunatic; trying to kill someone with a mere knife in this place. "Well, I know for one you are an idiot."

What if he was possessed? That could be a problem. He wouldn't be sure which spirit to exorcise if they had a similar personality but different methods of reaching goals. He could end up exorcising the wrong soul, and leave the man with the wrong soul; that would be detrimental, and could cause more problems - he would essentially kill him. His hands began to glow brightly as he began the exorcism, hoping to free the man of his ailment.

He then realised that there was only one soul. "Oops. Forgive me." He began, but then realised he was still swinging the knife almost blindly. "So... what brings someone like you here?" He said, as reached out to disarm the man by holding his hand with the knife with one hand and pulling the knife out of his grasp. Since he was fully clothed in some form of metal armour, anything with his fists could not do damage to him; the inverse could happen, though.
Parell awoke to a scream. This annoyed him since he still felt quite groggy and needed more rest. "Oh well, may as well get moving now. Spirits aren't going to free themselves," he thought, dusting himself off from under the tree. "This tree served as good cover for the night. I'll remember it." He stood up and stretched his arms and legs, yawning.

"I guess I should get dressed, too," he thought, unravelling his sack and taking his armour out. He felt a feeling of satisfaction as each piece clicked into place. It was silvery-covered but have a gold sheen that made it seem like it was glowing; truly a great gift. Yet it wasn't a gift. He took it from the body of a raised paladin he had freed. It carried a lot of memories and helped him to focus holy energy, despite it not being his affinity.

Parell began moving, heading in a seemingly random direction. He was a wanderer, with a strong sense of justice that got him into trouble. He easily got out alone of most situations unscathed, bar one - the entire village that hosted the necromancer was destroyed. This hurt him dearly; whilst they hadn't exactly been the most hospitable, they had helped him in the end, and paid the ultimate price - un-life. They had been raised from the dead. And he couldn't even exorcise them for some reason; they were pulled down into the depths of hell. The experience left mental scars, and thus he never got involved with large parties of people any more - for their sake.

As all these thoughts ran through his head, his eye caught a man wildly running towards him. Taking a look at him, it didn't seem like he was from around here, as his clothing was odd. He seemed around the same age as him, albeit more scrawny. He would wave at him. "Hello!" He didn't realise he was still heading towards him.

Name: Lynette 'Lyn' Marin

Age: "That's private."

Race: Demon (Demon Weapon), formerly Human, then Vampire

Gender: Female

Faction: Japanese Imperial Demon Army

Personality: Lyn understands her purpose - to kill vampires. She will do what she has to fulfil her purpose, since she chose that herself. She thinks ahead and plans accordingly for it. Other than that, she is quite talkative, bubbly and friendly in other situations.

Bio: Lynette was born in the Hīragi family, but her father decided to take her away from it all, so she lived in America for the early part of her life. She returned home in her teens to meet with her mother, but she was no Hīragi due to what her father had done; changed her name. That was respected by her, but her mother grew distant from her. Then came the vampires. In order to regain her mother's affection, she trained with the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. She showed much promise for being a great wielder of the Black Demon Series. Once she had chosen her weapon, they immediately moved out to begin their recovery of Japan. Whilst they fought valiantly, everyone else perished in the battle, but Lynette. She fought the masses of vampires, until being completely encircled by high ranking progenitor vampires. She did not stand a chance. Unable to fight them, she expected death. As she lost consciousness, she thought for sure she would be in the afterlife, but she didn't know that a fate worse than death was coming. The vampires had entrusted a certain 7th progenitor to deal with her. Ferid thought it would be amusing to turn her into a vampire. Giving her some of his blood, and then forcing her onto a human as she completed her transformation. After staying caged by Ferid for what seemed like forever, she somehow escaped and found her way back to the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. She knew there was one way that she could help now - by turning into a demon. Now she serves as a Demon Weapon; one that agrees with its user and isn't trying to take over them.
