Current I wonder if it would be worth my while to return to this site. I've had pretty much abysmal luck with games. Wonder if it'll be any different after a couple of years of absence...?!

@Lucius Cypher Okay, Shem already doesn't like Selena much and she is no fool. That minx is working an angle and Shem want's nothing to do with it, so let's insight check her with a big ol' 16

Also can Shem try and see that map Drac is pursuing? Would that be perception?

You are quite welcome to use it. I'm still unsure about some of my RP commitments and if I'll have the time to participate.
@Letter BeeHere be said race, as proposed originally for said RP. I created it because I wanted to work with the Guyver visual, but though he is cited as the primary visual inspiration, that is not to say that is exactly how the Noxaara look.

@Letter Bee I wonder if I could pimp my own custom race I created for an unfinished RP?

Maya was at her regular training spot, deep within the Amazon. Well-hidden and secluded. Away from any prying eyes. Here she was free to unleash her powers and true capabilities as well as work on developing new facets of her piezokinesis. Only the various flora and fauna bore witness to what she could do. And they would never betray her. For in this day and age people like her were feared, scorned and even hunted like some rare specimens to be experiment on.

Carolina took a deep breath, extended her right hand and exhaled. From another's perspective it would appear as if she was just standing there in the forest with her hand raised at chest level. But only seconds later they would be shocked to see one of the more distant trees shake violently. It would be only natural since they couldn't see the pressure wave she'd just sent towards that tree. At thirty-seven Caro was already pretty versed with her powers. Especially when using them in close quarters combat to enhance her punches, kicks, holds and almost anything really. By this point she had integrated her piezokinesis with all her combat skills. However she was still working to improve on her more long-ranged techniques. Oh, they were powerful enough. It was precision she was working on at the moment.

As she was raising her hand for another try, her sat phone vibrated in the pocket of her cargo pants. The wilderness guide sighed, lowered her hand and fished the phone out of her pocket. Few people had this number and if they were calling her on it, it wasn't for anything good.

"Sí!" She answered gruffly. Then closed her eyes and struggled to get her frustration with the caller under control as she listened. But instead of calming down, her features rearranged in an even more irritated expression. "I don't know where you got this number from, Miss MacTaggert or how you knew about me. I don't know you and I don't appreciate you calling on me like this! Now, since I can understand your friend's plight, I'll listen. But make no mistake! I don't trust you just because you say you're working with the CIA. On the contrary. It makes me even more wary."

Carolina stood a few steps behind Moira as the man, who appeared to be in his forties, arrived with a young woman in tow. Maya observed them as Moira made the introductions. The man, Erik, seemed polite and jovial enough. He acknowledged them both and suggested they went inside to do their business. And while he appeared cordial enough there was just something about him that made the fine hairs on Maya's body stand at attention. It wasn't that she was particularly biased against men. It was just that in her life and with her experience she'd learned to be a little more sensitive towards them. To read them better. And this man... This man that looked polite and friendly on the outside, felt cold and calculating on the inside to her. If there was one thing she tried to teach the kids at the orphanage she'd grown up in, it was that thick skin could protect you from all the shit thrown your way, but a stone heart would only kill you from the inside little by little.

And his companion. Well... French was not among the languages she spoke, but it was close enough to Spanish for Carolina to catch that last, little nasty word the girl had muttered. The kid was ill-mannered and plain rude! While she could understand her frustration with Moira not offering to shake her hand as well, that was no way to react. It was childish and petty. Well, she's young still. With guidance she could learn to outgrow it. Caro mused. But somehow I don't think that man is the right person to do it. Maya hoped this was not the best Moira's Charles had to offer. Because if it was, she wasn't impressed. Not one bit!
The two sisters are gunning for the same woman That's not gonna end well
Shem listened carefully as Bookie explained the situation with the mines. Her hopeful expression disappearing with each word.

"I see." She nodded pensively, all hope now drained from her features. "It is good you have supply enough for ingots and trade, but should the mines stay closed indefinitely, that would be quite unfortunate. I hope the mayor realizes that the mines are an integral part of the town not simply for trade, but for a number of businesses within our community. If operations in the mines should close down we would all suffer."

Shem'et was about to leave the Firbolg to his business and return to master Chodok with the bad news, when Bookie's next words stopped her in her tracks. She turned around and gave him her full attention. And you could see the hope return hesitantly on her feline countenance as Bookie spoke. An iron sand deposit in the cedar forest. And no one had bothered to send explorers to investigate the viability of this opportunity to obtain raw materials?! After all wasn't that what being on the frontier meant. To explore further than the borders of towns and villages. Well, I can certainly help with that! Shem thought. Master Chodok had given her this errand after all.

"Thank you, Master Bookie! I shall gladly undertake this endeavor." The tabaxi assured him, accepting the crude map and listening carefully to his instructions. Once she was sure she'd understood where she needed to go and what she needed to do she parted ways with the miners' foreman and swiftly headed back for the Underhaven. She would need some supplies for this task and she preferred to deal with the Lady Lucilia, rather than Barthem, the merchant.

Shem walked into the inn with quiet steps and looked about. The patrons of the establishment were nothing to talk about, but Shem'et knew not to stare too much, so her eyes didn't linger for too long on any of them anyways. It was better this way for everyone concerned! And Shem wasn't here for any of them as well. No. She had business with Lucilia, the proprietor of the establishment and the de facto leader of the Underhaven.

Shem's cat eyes scanned the dusky interior of the bar until she spotted a familiar figure. Unfortunately it was only Selena, lady Lucilia's daughter. Shem'et approached the young vampire with neutral expression on her feline face. It was not that she didn't like Selena. She just didn't care for her delusions of grandeur and riding on her mother's coattails like that.

"Lady Selena." She spoke respectfully just the same. "Would your mother happened to be here? I was given a task and am in need of some equipment. I should like to purchase a number of items from her." Shem fell silent looking at Selena. Two sets of glinting predator eyes locking onto each other.
@Lucius Cypher Thanks. I should get to posting. I think Shem would prefer dealing with Lucilia, rather than Barthem
@Lucius Cypher I was thinking if Shem would know a place in the Underhaven where she could buy adventuring gear. Some place other than Barthem's. I would assume she would be more familiar with doing business in her neck of the woods.

Is why I was asking.
