I watched the man in front of me carefully before I slowly glanced over my shoulder in the direction the male nurse had gone before my ice blue eyes landed back on the patient in front of me, running my eyes over him carefully as he spoke. He mind began to wander as I thought about his words, was he saying I wasn't able to handle myself? It wouldn't be hard to believe with my build, I really stood no chance against a man in a fight unless I managed to get a hold of some sort of weapon whether it be a shard of glass, a piece of wood or even metal. But I truly stood no chance against any of the male nurses if they took me by surprise or in solitary confinement like they seemed to like to do, but I knew all too well that no one just offered to help someone else out of the kindness of their heart - especially in this place!
I cocked my head to the side, carefully watching him a moment. "And why would you do that? What exactly would you want in return for that?" I asked softly, studying him carefully once more. Why would another patient go out of their way to offer me of all people help? After all, most of the other patients stayed far away from me for fear of my telling them their death. And that suited me just fine, they could keep their distance from me all they wanted - it didn't bother me in the slightest bit whatsoever. But this was definitely out of the ordinary in any case, especially the fact I knew nothing about this man that stood in front of me. But the thought of the nurse dying made me smile slightly, that would be one less thorn in my side that I had to worry about until the next nurse came along.
Well, maybe if the price is right it won't hurt now will it. I thought to myself as I kept my eyes on him, not trusting him very much do to his size compared to my own. "It would be nice to have one less thorn in my side, yet whats in it for you? Why exactly would you want to help me when you know nothing about me?" I asked, glancing over my shoulder once more to make sure the nurse wasn't coming up behind me. I was curious about this man and why he was interested in helping me, did he want to just kill the nurse for the fun of it? Or was there something else behind his reasoning? I slowly looked up at him, meeting his eyes. There was no emotion, no smile, nothing. But the spirits were warning of his dark past, that he was nothing but trouble. Yet, I liked people with a dark and twisted past.
