You like to think that you're the best part of me but I confess, there is nothing left of you here.

But no matter how many fish in the sea, it'd be so empty without me.

Name: Jada Warren

Alias: (Your "Mutant Name"): Mirage

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Appearance:

She is 5’7”and slim for her height. She dresses basic but sophisticated, usually preferring jeans and a basic top. She prefers not to draw attention to herself with her clothing.

Powers: Jada can create illusions, causing her target to see, hear, touch, smell and/or taste things which do not actually exist. She is only able to cast illusions on one person or object at a time.

Bio: Jada was born to an upper class family in Barbados. She lived with that family until her parents were killed by a gang member the night of her 8th birthday. Having no other relatives, she lived in an orphanage until she was 10. She was then adopted by a missionary family from the United States. She realized her ability to influence what people saw around the age of 17. She was playing hide -n -seek with the children in the Sunday School class she taught. She was able to hide from each of the children by making them think she was out of the room. She excitedly told her family about her newfound ability. They became enraged, accusing her of witchcraft. Every night they would have her pray that she would turn her life back to God. They even had her re-baptised. Eventually, a member of the church heard about what she was doing and told her about The Grinder. She knew immediately that this was the only place she would be safe to be herself. One night, Jada took out the money willed to her from her biological family and left a note telling everyone not to look for her. She headed to The Grinder.
Nya waited against the wall, continuing to observe her peers. No one stood out as high competition to her though there were a couple kids who weren’t terrible. Sure, there were students who were stronger but they tended to be sloppy. She could see their moves before they executed them. It was written on their face and in the way the held themselves. Their muscles would tense, their weight would shift, and then bam - they’d punch from their favored fist. She was deep in thought when Sky announced the next round of competitors. Nya heard her name and her heart sank. She was going to fight Colt. He was the one person she knew may be a threat. He seemed to know his body more than the others did. She took a deep breath. No use in worrying , she thought. Nya went back to looking around. She considered going back to the girls she had first tried to approach when she came into the room but decided againt it. She wasnt really in the mood for small talk. Then, She looked over to Seril and saw him still wiping blood off his face from his round with Chess. She grabbed a towel sitting on a small table a few feet from where she was standing and walked it over to him. “Shitty match, no?” She handed him the towel, hoping he was in the mood to take her mind off her upcoming match.

@kagethekiller
I'm interested.
Can you list all the NPCs?
I assumed I'd get on and have missed a lot but I guess not.
Well... @imaginary, want to coordinate or leave it to chance?

(I would be on it tomorrow, not tonight, which is fine considering the other groups coming up first)

I'll PM you.
What about feuding vampire covens? People could sign up to be in a coven and each coven has special characteristics like one could be super strength (beyond standard vampire strength), one is immunity to sunlight, etc. and each coven wants to take over the city (NYC?) while remaining undetected by humans and slayers. People could sign up to be humans too. Maybe even have human servants?

Nya knew that watching the other students in combat was a very effective way to scrutinize their physical weaknesses. The short ones were generally faster while the larger ones were generally stronger. It didn't always work that way but most of the time it did. Based on how the students took Sky's criticisms, she would know who was too strong-willed for their own good and who was a good listener. It would also show her who was a natural born leader and who were the followers. There were pros and cons to being each type and she needed to know where they fit best. When Sky announced Sarah and Dyana as the first two to compete, Nya thought the fight was going to be a good one. Both of the girls were pretty small. Sarah looked like she was a natural fighter but Dyana had a wild streak in her spirit that Nya wouldn't underestimate. She leaned back against the wall, waiting for the action to start.
