I would walk away should Arena fighting become number based. I don't mind characters that use numbers and such, for a specific type of character they want to go for, but for me, it's always been about the story. A good battle in which two (or more) people simply duke it out forcing that creative flow, limited by few rules and basically an honor system, and that's essentially what T1 is today. Some of you call it a flawed system, but really, it's perfect for what it was created to do. There are other systems out there. T2 used to be pretty popular, but not so much anymore. T1, and more recently, T1 EE are tried and true systems that work well, and allow creative freedom. Matter of fact, the whole concept of a Multi-verse in the Arena would probably not even really exist if it wasn't for T1. Two characters are able to exist on two totally different systems and styles of play and still able to connect. Another reason why I never really understood why people create 'multiverses' but only for a certain power level of people. (Ugh. That's a whole other topic I can get into later.) I'm not saying number are a bad thing, cause it can fill a niche', but it's really not typical cause the sheer amount of factors that you'd have to account for is ridiculous, specially in a truly numerical system. I'm getting some Matrix flashbacks right now. lol. So, yea, develop a specific roleplay with a specific numerical system and go for it, but suggesting that the entire of Arena roleplay , or even a large portion, convert to a numerical system? That's simply not going to happen.
Finally! Went storming into their offices today to get stuff sorted out and this really nice lady helped me out and got everything set up to go. I finally have my Internet connection back! I have to head to work here shortly, but I'll get a post in tonight, after I get off work.
@Impaqt I see you online boy!

Tell me you have internet. ^^

Though if your on your phone I'll know from your continued silence.

Identity Cores

Name: Isaiah Core
Alias/Nickname: Impaqt
Gender: Male Designed
Race/Species: Artificial Intelligence

Isaiah was an A.I. built with the intentions of housing the secrets of an now deceased Empire. Their many secrets locked away inside his body made up of layers of "Cores", which house various secrets as well as Isaiah's own memories, skills, and habits. His initial Core, the 'Identity Core', is designed to adjust and adapt with Isaiah as he learns. It is the Core which gives him his humanity. The Vitality Core regulates Isaiah's Strength, Speed, Agility, Endurance, and many of his skills and abilities as well as keeping his body moving. The Dues Ex Core Regulates his abilities as a Machine. Deeper than that, the Cores tend to remain locked until necessary, housing many of the Empire's secrets and various other things. Though, some of these cores do interact with other Cores. His personality Core, for example. Isaiah's personality is all his own, but there are also 5 cores in his body that hold completely different personalities and identities from creatures locked away in him, that interact with his own Personality Core. Although he is A.I., his body is designed to be very organic acting. His blood-like substance is a blue gel, that protects his 'Cores' and can slowly regenerate his flesh if cut. He is able to feel through pain receptors. Though, those in his feet are very dull, so he can often only feel a sense of pressure. Normal organic diseases and illnesses don't effect Isaiah.

Appearance:

Isaiah was built in the appearance of a slightly aged young boy, by the name of Pau Cole. While having originally dark hair, certain Sage Cores of his body have adapted and turned his hair an orange-red. It is a wavy medium length, reaching just above his steel blue eyes. His eyes do happen to change colors though often signifying a different personality emerging. (See Below) He has thin features, including in his face. His body weights approximately 300 lbs, standing at at 5'8". Though only sign of where he came from lies in a small etch in his lower left back that says, "I.M.P.A.Q.T." and red markings that appear while his Cores are highly active. Due to the nature of his body, he doesn't require armor. So, he typically wears loose and comfortable clothing.

Personality:

  • Isaiah:
Warm-hearted, quiet, and Sensitive. Tends to put the needs of others over their own needs. Feels a strong sense of responsibility and duty. Value traditions and security. Interested in serving others. Needs positive reinforcement to feel good about himself. Desires peace and humanity.
  • Daio:
Quiet, serious, sensitive and kind. Does not like conflict, and not likely to do things which may generate conflict. Loyal and faithful. An aesthetic appreciation for beauty. Not interested in leading or controlling others. Flexible, open-minded, original and creative. Enjoys the present moment. Very Curious.
  • Aiso:
Practical, traditional, and organized. Not interested in theory or abstraction unless he sees the practical application. Have clear visions of the way things should be. Loyal and hard-working. Likes to be in charge. Exceptionally capable in organizing. Values security and peaceful living.
  • Tassel:
Loud, kind, and conscientious. Can be depended on to follow through. Usually puts the needs of others above their own needs. Instable, and not very practical. Well-developed sense of space and function. Rich inner world of observations about people. Extremely perceptive of other's feelings. Interested in serving others. Very Individualistic and artistic.
  • Peirce:
Independent, original, analytical, and determined. Has an exceptional ability to turn theories into solid plans of action. Highly value knowledge, competence, and structure. Driven to derive meaning from their visions. Long-range thinker. Has very high standards for their performance, and the performance of others. Not very kind, and often even rude.
  • Naosi:
Quiet and reserved, interested in how and why things work. Excellent skills with mechanical things. Risk-taker. Uncomplicated in their desires. Not overly concerned with respecting laws and rules if they get in the way of getting something done. Detached and analytical, he excels at finding solutions to practical problems.

Vitality Cores (Un-Powered)

Vitality Core sustains Isaiah's life. Although he holds no life force like most living creatures do, he runs on an adaptation and synthesized version, more formally known as Ardor. Most creatures won't be able to detect energy from him, but rather lack of energy, if staring directly at him. If he is hidden, he is practically undetectable. Ardor makes up for his weight, allowing him to run at high speeds. His prosthesis skin is thicker and much more durable. Quick slices are able to cut him, but rarely go blood deep. Jabs are able to penetrate with force. Although he has above average strength, most of his energy goes into his speed. Isaiah is decently intelligent, but mostly relies on Peirce for intelligence. Though his Mental Cores allow him to learn and grow.

  • Gladius Core:
Using Ardor, Isaiah can easily tap into his Gladius Core and manifest the core outside his body, in the form of a double sided Sword. Made of a similar material as his Cores, making it extremely durable. The sword carries small interlocking orbs along it's hilt, that can interlock with orbs on Isaiah's fingers.
    Specifications
    Weight 0.7–1 kg (1.5–2.2 lb)
    Length 60–85 cm (24–33 in)
Blade length 45–68 cm (1.48–2.23 ft)
    Width 5–7 cm (2.0–2.8 in)

Dues Ex Cores (Low-Powered)

  • Observation Core
Isaiah's observation Core allows him to see and identify objects and beings he has previously encountered or learned about. His Observation Core allows to see on various spectrums, including infared, thermal, night vision, x-ray, and microscopic.
  • Positioning Core
Isaiah's Positioning core allows him turn the joints and adjust organs of his body in various directions not typically capable by organic creatures.
  • Ardor Core
Ardor Core allows Isaiah to manipulate the energy in his body in various ways to increase his own abilities, improve his strikes, and manifest the energy outside his body in similar ways to Human Ki.
  • Environmental Core
The environmental core adapts Isaiah's skin to harsh conditions, making him resistant against heat, electrical, and frost damage. This Core also protects against EMP waves and attacks.
  • Machina Regeneration Core
Regeneration core will very slowly regenerate Isaiah over time, Not useful for emergency battle healing. This Core also prevents viruses that would possibly effect his system.

Remnant Cores (Medium Powered)

  • Isaiah's Protocol Core:
Determined to protect his secret's at all cost, Isaiah's Protocol Core consist of 2 cores that are able to quickly shift around in his body, manipulate his skin to produce holes, that then allow a large metallic spike to protrude from his flesh. The spikes are 25cm each, capable of packing a severe deadly blow, upon release. Once Isaiah's weapons are added to Isaiah's possession, because of the connection, the protocol is able to travel into those as well, as long as they are weapons and items created by a core.
  • Daio's Creation Core:
Daio was an artistic prodigy and curious child, able to create and mold amazing things. Daio's Creation Core allows Isaiah to manipulate earth to crush foes or create beautiful statues. Or Statues to crush foes. Daio likes to get creative.
  • Aiso's Knight Core:
Aiso was a Knight and defender of the Empire, serving many years next to his King. This Core summons a large Golden shield, with an approximate diameter of 2 feet, all the way around, able to deflect most heavy blows and uncharged bullets and shots.
  • Tassel's Expeditious Core:
Tassel, ever impracticable, was a skilled quick witted magician, at impractical nonsense. He loved the curious and odd things. Still, he was the most nimble and quick man alive. The Expeditious Core allows Isaiah to transport to new locations at strictly 5 feet intervals. Can only use once every 2 turns.
  • Peirce's Puncture Core:
Pierce was not only a great strategist, but excellent with weaponry. Most of Isaiah's weapon proficiency was designed after Pierce's own tactics. The Puncture Core manipulates the Gladius Core to form various weapon types.
  • Naosi's Techno Core:
Distant and spiteful, Naosi gets along with computers easier than other creatures. Naosi's core is able to manipulate technology and provide Isaiah with any needed mechanical knowledge. Not usable on weapons or gear being used or already manipulated by others. This Core also protects Isaiah's Internal programming from being manipulated by outside sources.

Honor Among "Men?"

This was it, Isaiah thought to himself as he watched a man opposite to him flicker into position. Isaiah had many feeling churning within him, but the most noticeable was an raw sense of excitement, that wasn't even his own. His eyes gazed over his enemy's gear and weaponry briefly. This man was obviously very experienced and ready to kill. He was sure that if he wasn't an enemy now, he'd probably had made an excellent comrade. The two men he had met in Minnit came to mind. Camaraderie was more than skill. Regardless of his experience, Isaiah didn't know enough about the man to make that assumption. Not that it mattered now though. No, the only thing he could do now was prepare to fight.

He watched as the man pulled his blades out with a sense of skill. Wielding both? The man was either stupid or extremely skilled. Isaiah didn't take him for the latter, so the man must mostly wield both. Without hesitation, Isaiah released a second orb which formed a brightly golden round shield, with a 2 feet diameter, which then attacked itself to his forearm. Flexing, the mechanical like muscle shifted feeling it's new addition.

"Long Live the King." spoke a tenebrous voice filled with a sadness. Isaiah stood over a massive bed, a crimson silk blanket sitting neatly over it. A frail looking old man stared back from under the covers. Although apparently sick, the man's features struck a strong chord within himself. Soft blue eyes peered beyond a veil of hardened expression and strong cheekbones. His long white hair lay neatly at his back. A man on his deathbed, and the only signs were a tenacious sweat pouring down a slightly receded hair line.

The man laughed upon hearing the line his subordinate spoke. "King or not, death comes for us all." He forced a smile. "Speak boy, tell me what's on your mind. You have been my confidant for years. Allow me to be yours." The man tried to pull himself upwards, but only managed a cough and a sudden clamor of worry from Isaiah. "And skip the foolish pleasantries."

"Sir-I mean-I-" His thoughts felt more scattered than they had ever been. Quickly pulling himself together he finally spoke, "There is no one to take the throne after you. I've served your family for many years. How am I supposed to serve another?" The old King studied the look of worry on his subordinate's face. "And-and- How can you expect me to agree to the evils of the council? You know as well as I, that they are nothing but traitorous leaches after their own gain."

The old King chuckled, holding back another cough. "My dear Aiso, you will serve and act as I have taught you to since you were a lad. Uphold honor, respect, and dignity. Fight for what's right." The man reached his hand out, to receive that of his subordinate. "And if that puts you at odds with the throne, so be it. A King is but a man. A man's worth is limited only by his honor. Keep yours."

Isaiah tossed away all thoughts of ignoring his opponent's remarks, as he spoke within his mind. "Nice to meet you Aiso."

"You as well, sir."

Isiah began walking slowly toward his opponent, his bare feet pressing through the sand like dust, his weapons simply at his sides. "Greetings, Lord Cardinal Tablurath of the Angar-Rylla’s Ninth Fleet. You may simply call me Isaiah Core. I may be no man, but I have the honor of one. I hope that I am fighting a man of honor, as well. " Isaiah kept walking, with intend of being face to face with his opponent. "Let's begin, shall we? And may the best man win."
Got a hold of my ISP, and I'll have my equipment for my new place tomorrow. I'm going to try to get over to my buddy's house tonight after work. Hopefully I won't have long hours tonight.
Decided I couldn't wait to get my initial post in. Went over and stole a buddy's wifi for a bit. Ha. He thinks I'm an nerd now, but that's ok. He should have already knew that. Shame on him.

A discharge of luminosity filled the air around Isaiah as he was whisked away by the shear power of the Dreamers. He had not even thought of battle, but here he was, on his way to a battlefield. Time seemed to tinker away as nothing but light entered his eyes. It kind of hurt. Shutting his eyes, he wondered how'd he came to be in this place, and where he was going. The chill of air seemed to nip at his neck. It was cold. Why was it suddenly so cold? He opened his eyes.

"Where might you be off to, young sir?" An kind eyed older looking man peered over him, his mustache almost too large for his face, but his smile was transparent. Isaiah smiled. He had found himself on a sunken wooden platform of an old train station. The air was cold, and he couldn't see beyond the beams of light escaping the train, and a single lamp hovering from above, singling himself as the only would be passenger on this train to-.

"Felorn" a soft voice fleeing his lips.

The man chuckled, pulling his blue rounded hat from his head, a glint of light reflecting off the seemingly metallic golden 'CONDUCTOR' embroidered into it. "Felorn, you say?" His expression became one of curiosity, as he lowered himself toward the boy. "That's an awfully long way for a boy to travel alone, isn't it?" he inquired.

"I'm gonna [deep breath] see the Ligers and um, the Astra-um- the magic people are there too!" an excitement lining his voice.

The conductor gazed at the starry eyed boy, smiling, then quickly shifted to concern. "You know, Felorn isn't exactly safe these days. I'm sure even a kid like you would know that." Isaiah could feel a sudden sunken feeling in his chest as his head filled with frustration. The conductor must have noticed it as well. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you." he smiled, again. "Where are your parents at?"

"I- I'm alone. How am I suppose to beat his guy? I've have to be meant for something more than this." Isaiah closed his eyes, once again, the memory slipping away.

"You aren't alone. I'll help you."

"You will?"

"Yea, sure. Um. If you help me get home."

"What's your name?"

A feeling of joy swelled up within him. "My name is Daio!"

Isaiah could feel a sudden brush of dust filled hot air breathe against his skin as he entered the battlefield. What seemed like such a long time, had only truly been mere seconds. Perhaps, not even that long. Isaiah found himself standing on the Western side of a long street, stretching through a vacant small town. The sun hovered just above. It had to be somewhere around noon.

His thin frame probably seemed rather small, with a large 10 ft wall at his back. His opponent would be a fool to consider him just another young man way over his head. Isaiah felt like it, but he knew better. Not that it mattered though. His participation in this tournament should prove enough for his opponent to take him seriously. Likewise, He wouldn't make that mistake either.

As his red hair and ragged tan clothes seem to shift and sway with the wind, he took a closer look at his surroundings. A car sat further along the street to his left. Beyond that, a truck. To his right seemed to be a vacant house, though pottery still sat in an open window. If people had left, they had done so in a hurry. At least that's what he hoped had happened. Seeing the walls, structures, and vehicles, he assumed the place had once been a military town or base of some sort.

Isaiah felt a sudden change in his body as a Core lit up within his body. Something he hadn't even realized was there, was now turning on. His eyes seemed to blink momentarily before being filled with much more than he had anticipated.

Scanning...

Temp 97oF

His eyes suddenly began scanning and giving detail on just about everything he came across. A feeling of fear seemed to rise in him. He hated this. He wanted to turn it off. Why couldn't he just be Human?

"Oh, what irony. He was the same way."

"Huh?" Isaiah muttered out loud. "Who are you?"

No one answered. Assuming he heard something, he went back to scanning and sulking.

"Hey Daio" he finally spoke.

"Yea?"

"Skallagrim said to think about entering the battle to get here, but I didn't. Were you the one thinking about it?"

He scoffed. "No. I wish we never had to. Fighting never ends good. [Deep breath] That's um-a silly thing to think about though."

Isaiah hummed. "Yea, you're right." Then, who was it? Flicking his wrist, a silver orb appeared briefly hovering in his right hand before suddenly opening into a double sided Roman styled sword, and attaching itself to his hand. "Let's get this over with then."
@Impaqt Interesting place. Considering the characters involved we're probably not going to make use of most of the arena.

Btw Impaqt, I looked at your character. Interesting. Though I do have some questions involving his abilities.

How precisely strong, fast and such is he? It just mentions him moving at high speeds then above average strength (for human assumingly, still pretty broad.) thanks to the energy (which he doesn't have? XD).

And to answer your question, Above average body builder at his weight. So, right around 550-600lbs.
As far as speed goes, I was thinking Transonic. So anywhere between 609-914 mph, given proper conditions. His speed being his greatest asset.
And basically, yea. His energy is non-existent. There is reason for that, but I didn't really dig into all that in his CS. I just left it simple for the purposes of this tournament. You'll probably see a whole other side to him outside his CS as I dive into his story a little bit. Obviously, looking at his CS, you'll see that he's actually being cut down for this tournament, but his story will explain why that is as well. Later on, anyways.
