...that's, um, wow. :/ It makes you think.
Heh, yeah, I had that same thought... Can't slit a throat through power armor, nor would a thrown knife be anything more than a momentary distraction.
Gotta say, Sep, forced impregnation is pretty fucking dark... I mean, damn.

I totally expect like 3/4s of the resistance to be women.

Roger the Racist Badger and the Crack Fox.

England isn't known for its awesome animals.

Honestly, Chapatrap, you could be on to something there. Mutated badgers (imagine a badger 10+ feet long and weighing hundreds of pounds) could easily be the Royal Wasteland's equivalent to Yao Guai!

There're also blood-sucking flies, some interesting wasp species, fucking spiders that walk on water... And, um, then I guess there's newts. Maybe carnivorous newts could infest the Thames? I don't know.

Foxes could be like coyotes from the Mojave, still relatively unchanged in the aftermath of the War, and there are a few other species we could have, like some kind of Post-War sheep that people use for wool, and massive wild boars that compete for food with the badgers... And what about deer? Lots of those in England. Wasteland deer, still living in the forests and such?

EDIT: Oh, and other acquatic creatures could be around for fishing, I guess.

Now to play the waiting game...I'm glad someone recognized the swords :DI thought the look of the Ebony weapons were the perfect balance between suitability and practicality, unlike the paddle-like shapes of other weapons.

Hmm, the Ebony greatsword at least is definitely cool, but I've always been partial to the Dragonbone and Nordic weapons myself. Specifically, the Dragonbone dagger, greatsword, war axe and battleaxe, as well as the Nordic sword and especially the Nordic battleaxe... The Dragonbone weapons are so... clean, I guess is the best way to describe it.

Compared to all of the other high-level weapons (I'm looking at you, Deadric), they are unassuming and simple, but still hit with the force of ten suns... As for the Nordic weapons, something about those two in particular just click for me, you know? They just work, lore and all; they look like something Nords would design. Honestly, I'm a big fan of the entire Nordic Carved set, excluding the bow. :) Honourable mention for well-designed weapons goes to the Ebony mace, IMO the best looking generic mace in the game, and of course several of the Daedric artifact weapons look quite good (the Razor, Volendrung, the Wabbajack and the Sanguine Rose spring to mind).

ANYWAY, I've changed my mind about this game, and I'm actually thinking of finishing my character sheet. We'll see how it turns out, I suppose.
Sep hasn't said that there's a limit to the number of players, and no one has even posted a character yet. :) There's nothing to stop you from joining.
You're quite welcome, and really, that'll be true for ANY gun in this game, unless you're with the King's Men... Anyway, I'll get to work on that CS.
Hmm, a Plasma Pistol... What about a couple of Recharger Pistols?

And, yeah, it can very simply be said that there are fewer Pre-War weapons around in general, considering the Pre-War anti-firearm legislation...
Making ghouls the lowest of the low would definitely help my character, being a ghoul herself (so she wouldn't be shot on sight), and yeah, if we're sticking to the lore, Super Mutants just wouldn't be in Britain at all. (The "canon" of Fallout 3 isn't 100% canon for me... The only true Super Mutants, in my mind, are those from the Core Region, and those definitely wouldn't be found across the pond, even if an argument for Vault 87 Muties finding their way across could be made.)

The 23rd Century includes Fallout 2 (2241), 3 (2277) and New Vegas (2281), but this story could definitely be set earlier, considering all of the technology is going to be Pre-War anyway... I'd actually recommend, based on the premise, that we do set the game earlier, around the era of the original Fallout (one hundred-ish years after the Great War). That way, there has been sufficient time for things to change, for mutants to happen, and for the Monarchy to begin their rebuilding, but not enough for the people to have built up their resistance movement yet...

By the way, another question: what are you thinking about Energy Weapons? Since my character has been around for such a long time (being a ghoul), and worked as a defense contractor before the war (meaning she would know how to use and repair them), would it be possible for her to have found some? Also, do the King's Men use any?

(Basically, her concept is that she was at the right place at the right time, a researcher for a defense corporation who leveraged her technical and engineering expertise to gain a spot in the Royal Vault. Around thirty years later, however, on a mission out of the Vault in search of salvageable technology, she and her scouting group stumbled upon an extremely irradiated area, and most of them died before they could find their way back. My character was the only survivor, but immediately began to feel the effects of ghoulification, as her bits of her hair fell out and patches of skin started to die and peel away. The changes continued over the next several months, eventually resulting in the complete transformation, but even with nothing but a few dead patches on her face the royals were scared shitless, and refused to allow her back inside, thinking the condition might be contagious.

So, she was left with nothing but the equipment the group had carried with them and her new-found immunity to radiation sickness, and had to survive in the ruins of London on her own. Obviously, there's more, as she lived for another 70 years or so before the events of the RP, but that's the gist. Obviously, she has both means and motive to assist the resistance in overthrowing the Monarchy, and an intimate knowledge of the enemy's technology to boot, BUT I didn't know if you would allow her to have some Energy Weapons.)
...If nothing that happened in the mainline Fallout series applies, where did Super Mutants come from? FEV was a West Tek/U.S. Military thing, wasn't it? I really doubt they would have let the Brits in on it, especially considering I don't think they were even allies by the time of the Sino-American War.

Also, is the implication that in Britain there was only one Vault (perhaps modeled after the American Vault-Tec Vaults), but fewer bombs were dropped, so outside of the cities more people survived the War?

EDIT: Oh, oh, and what's the date? 23rd Century?

:) This could be a very interesting game, Sep. I'm currently writing up a character sheet, but parts of it are dependent on your answers here.
