It implies that the world doesn't know there's a difference or even about the existence of guardians (as they shouldn't). Everything that seems strange or otherworldy doesn't have to be evil
16 | Male | Birthplace: Tokyo, Japan Height: 5'5" (165.1cm) | Body Type: Slim | Skin: Sunkissed | Hair Color: Bleach Blonde Eye Color: Red (right)/ Green (left)
CHANGES MADE Height: 6'0" (182.88cm) | Hair Color: White | Eye Color: Red Other: Yuki materializes armor, on his arms and legs, similar to that of his guardian | Eyes appear on his cloak. It is not yet known if they serve a purpose or if they are just a fashion statement
Personality: Yuki has been a victim of bullying for as long as he can remember. His heterochromic eyes and abnormally young appearance always seem to attract the wrong attention. There's not really much he can do about his appearance, except pray that one day he grows and fills out, but he has been known to wear an eyepatch to hide his eyes. For years his self-esteem has taken some major blows. As a result, Yuki is usually the quiet and reserved type. The vibe he gives off is one of sadness. It practically screams "I always have a dark cloud over my head" and "I think everybody hates me and is out to get me". There also isn't very much that he would consider himself to be good at. Mostly because he lacks the self-motivation and confidence to try anything. Home is the only place where he can, somewhat, be happy and that's only because of one thing; his cat Mocha. Sadly, Mocha probably knows more about Yuki than his own parents do. He's seriously on the verge of being that crazy, old, cat guy down the street, if he keeps going down this path. There's still hope though! It's quite the project, but Yuki's guardian has been trying to force motivate and show him that there's is something great that's inside of him.
Bio: (I will be addidng one soon enough)
Kuroi Suisei
Butterfly Appearance- Body: Brown | Wings: Transparent | Wing Veins/ Trim: Red | Other: very small, light, spots of purple are sprinkled on over the transparent parts of the wing
Class- Weapon Primary Weapon- Halberd (as depicted) Magic- Air (25) | Earth (25) | Fire (25) | Illusion (25) Personality- Kuroi is as every bit of demonic as her appearance. Not that she's evil, but flat out cold. The only thing she seems to care about is the well-being of her human. Her face appears to be stuck in a permanent mean mug, even when she's happy. She definitely embraces the warrior spirit. Train hard. Be the best. Breathe, eat, live combat. There's nothing more glorious than the battlefield and nothing more pleasing to her senses than the sight/smell of spilt blood from the enemy. Kuroi is fully aware of her humans insecurites and makes it a point to turn him into the finest warrior. Though her methods may not be as.... gentle. Rather, her approach on the matter is similar to that of a drill sergeant. Should he ever feel down or place doubts on himself, Kuroi is quick to get in his face and whip him into shape. She refuses to believe (or even allow) her human to be weak.
@karamonnomGood to go :) you can move her over to the character section.
Also no; i don't think it would be redundant to put tiger style if there's a distinct difference. Im sure there is, in stance and it sounds like it'd be a more offensive style to me
@Inkd Bull Am I right to think of it as this: The guardian and the human soul link the first time, creating their bond. After that, soul link becomes a battle tactic. The guardian has a form, visible to other guardians and people with guardians and usually is seen with their counterpart, maybe occasionally going somewhere else. The Guardian has to use the human as a 'conductor' for their power in the human world. They are strongest together, and thusly use this bond as a way to protect people and defeat evil. To summarize: They are two distinct entities, soul link is used to fight, they are connected by a bond and feel safer together, spirit transgressions must be dealt with by their human.
@BlackPanther When I made the comparison to Bleach it was only meant to describe combat and soul linking. In Bleach a zanpakuto isn't something that walks around with the soul reaper and then shifts into a weapon when it's time to fight lol. It's always a sword and sometimes the spirit of that sword makes an appearance.
So yes; those things are possible because it's not relative to combat or soul linking. It's just a spirit acting like whatever/whoever it's supposed to act like. Though it should go without saying, the human will pay for the actions of its spirit since you can't really punish it in the world of the living. Also, while inside school grounds it might not be so strange to see guardians, remember that outside of the institute, strange things like that might raise some flags.
@Obscene Symphony They don't have to stay near the human at all times. I mean.... They can roam, but that's really a question of how safe you think you are. Within the institute? Sure, how many bad things could happen to you there?.... Outside of the institute? Do you really want to take that chance?
Reason: I want Soul Link to be something like how zanpakutos are used in Bleach and not like pokemon or digimon where a human is on the sidelines giving commands. If that were the case, soul link would be pretty pointless
Example: Renji is beat to a bloody pulp and taken to the clinic -> Zabimaru is out of commision
>The human body is the vessel The guardian "steps into the body" -> The two souls begin to merge (as depicted)/ As the souls are merging on the inside, you are transorming on the outside >Give it about a minute >bing! Soul link and transformation are complete >start kicking ass
