When your internet is out, you ponder why you spend so much time on it. When it comes back again, you ignore any deep, profound discoveries you make about it taking up time and go right back to it.

Oh, great. Then you'll be able to jump right in to it.

A couple of friends and I… We, uh, “Sooby Dude”d our way to the bottom of a murder mystery last year at school. And I also busted into my dad’s computer a couple of times.

<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

Just icing on the cake, Acacia. Didja hear what that guy said? He wouldn't count me for negative life cost even though I totally earned that.

Do things typically happen where you can tally “negative life cost”?
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

*Raises an eyebrow*
Unless you meant something else?

I have done a few things that would qualify as investigative experience in the past. Maybe light stuff, and none of it official.

<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

You've gotta, it keeps things fresh. Anything else just means you're getting boring. Predictable.

So it’s not always explosions?
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

I just mean the reading.

<Snipped quote by Dynamics>

I saw a building almost fall on top of you if that's what you mean.

Well, th… Right.

<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

Pleasure's mine—and yeah, not much of a point if these things are stuffy all the time.

<Snipped quote by Source>

Nah, controlled explosion. Totally predictable.

You aim to make the highlight reel every time?
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

It sounds like starting in investigations is the perfect route for you, then. Especially with the head start.

Head start? W-

Liz, intern, he-heyyyyyy! The two of you see my cameo up there?

Oh, yeah! Acacia. You looked like you were having a bit of fun there.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

I love the enthusiasm. There's a satisfaction that comes with seamlessly accomplishing goals together.

I can’t wait! School being out now means I can get so much practice in investigating. There’s a lot of stuff I read about that I want to try.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

There you go. I hope it wasn't more boring than you expected.

Even if it was boring, that was very short. But it wasn’t.
*Hits my palm with my fist*
The way everything flows so smoothly, I wanna be part of that. Contribute to something that adds up to something way bigger.

Excellent. As for everyone's favorite segment, we'll close with recent engagement highlights.
*Three of the images expands to fill the entire projection, depicting a slim but built man in sunglasses facing away from an explosion at the base of an inverted pyramid structure in the middle of a sparse plain, twisted emerald relic in hand, followed by the collapse of the edifice in the opposite direction*
Zepher observed an instability in geological conditions during an artifact retrieval mission. By toppling the artifact housing structure, a nearby town was spared from eminent geothermal vent implosion. He argues that this act should classify as negative life cost, but I have elected to ignore his argument.
*Iterates though all of the images until exhausting each of the highlights*
As always, keep up the phenomenal work.

*Smirks slightly at the scene of the guy looking cool in front of an explosion*

Finally, Colgate appears to have found a lead regarding his primary target. I expect near-term mobilization, and wouldn't discount the possibility of infiltration and subversion attempts against our own. We're actively monitoring the situation and don't anticipate preemptory maneuvers, but remain alert.
*The images blink away before being replaced with a set of stills that expand into position randomly, building out a mosaic of moments from recent missions*
Any questions or comments before we wrap this up?

*Glances side to side amongst the crowd and lightly shakes my head*
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

*Swaps to several other charts and discusses the data before widening the stream of the sleeping team member*
We're currently supporting two ongoing infiltrations, one of which speaks for itself.
*Pauses amidst a few chuckles, and reduces the feed size*
No full-scale operations are queued. However, we haven't yet lifted the emergency measures alert; be prepared for short-notice assembly. And yes, as requested, we will continue to provide additional food varieties until the order is lifted. Thank the obvious candidates for that decision.

*Places my hand on my chin in thought at the "emergency measures alert" phrase*
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

*Two bar graphs project forward from the rest of the data*
Mission completion rates have remained steady this quarter. Proposals have increased, so be aware that any new submissions may be delayed accordingly.
*Two sets of bars change color to red*
You've done well. Mission cost has decreased by 40%, which comes in at 25% below projections. Special mission cost exceeded projections by 5%, but life cost undercut projections by 12%. Given the content of recent missions, I'm pleasantly surprised.

*Glances around for a moment for reactions, but watches the data without interruption otherwise*
