Confused, confused would be the right word that the Overlord was feeling at the moment. He had been standing upon the ground, ready to fire streams of lightning into the water demon for an obvious reasons, but it seemed that DIO had other plans that included him. He didn't even know what was happening in the first few moments, he was standing far away from Forneus, and suddenly found himself directly beside his enemy! For the first time, the Overlord was surprised. He has experienced the magic of teleportation before, but this one seemed almost instantaneous without any type of build up at all! The Overlord guessed this was another power of DIO that the Overlord didn't know about, and this power seemed to be, at the moment, the most annoying of all since teleportation could make him easily move around with even having to move. However, since the Overlord was completely dazed at the entire situation at hand, he had forgotten to attack the demon causing a space for Forneus to retaliate against DIO's move.
So, regaining back his barrings from the sudden phase shift, the Overlord saw that Forneus was preparing some kind of attack with his arms stretched from side to side. The Overlord didn't even look behind himself to check out the attack as he knew that it was going to be unpleasant with that wretched look on his face. The lightning ceasing to spark against his armor, his hand started to glow in an almost heavenly color instead of the destructive elements that had been firing out of his hands. It was his shield spell, something that he would use when he knew that he couldn't dodge a powerful attack. And the Overlord was lucky, just as Forneus screamed out his attack, the spell activated, coating only the Overlord inside of the durable magic from the Abyssal Puffer-Fish.
And that Abyssal Puffer-Fish hit like a truck. Spikes of water slammed into the Overlord, almost causing the brute to lurch forward from the sudden force. The Overlord thanked his reaction timing for saving him, without the shield protecting him from the initial wave of spikes, he would have been done for, but the metal man couldn't even keep up this shield for another second. So, without hesitation, the Overlord gripped his Apocalyptor with both of his hands causing the spell to dissipate around him. Spikes and bubbles slamming into his metal armor causing the Overlord to grit his teeth from the pain. Though, pain has never stopped him from doing the right thing, and the right thing was to slam that stupid smile off of Forneus's face. So, the mace swung at an alarming speed. By the looks of his size, it would seem that the Overlord would attack in a slow manner that anyone could easily dodge, but this wasn't the case at all. With his strength, the mace almost swung like an aluminum bat towards Forneus with hell-fire spewing out of the mouth. It wouldn't take too much time before cold hard metal clash against the warm weak flesh.
Tears were swelling around her eyes as the blurry image of a train seemed to retreat into the distance. In her hand, she tightly clutched to a piece of paper as her whole body seemed to tremble. Her newsboy cap pulled down to cover her eyes, hiding not only the tears that were on the verge of pouring from her eyes, but also hiding the complete devastation that etched her face. Amber watched silently as last image of the train slowly vanished from her sight, both her hopes and dreams disappearing on the locomotive. Standing silently to herself, it took several minutes for the little girl to stop herself from trembling. She also seemed to stop herself from crying as well, the tears fading away from her eyes while her mind started to function once again. Though, her hand was still tightly gripping the piece of paper, she almost had the right mind to tear it into tiny little pieces! Though, she would never have the will to tear up such an important message, and Amber sighed to herself as she kicked the the ground, launching some pebbles into the air.
Finally regaining her composure, she lifted up her cap to uncover his lightly puffy eyes. Amber rubbed away the remaining tears that remained on her eyes, returning her brown eyes back to normal. She looked to her side to find her dull gray backpack leaning against her leg, grumbling to herself, she put on one strap upon her shoulder as the crummy backpack's other strap tore off long ago. Inside were all the things to continue on living, some water, some food, and other basic equipment that would be useful if she would ever get lost in the woods. However, most of the things that filled up her pack was mainly just her equipment to continue making her special magic things! It was very important to keep that stuff safe since that was all she needed to become stronger! Or at least make more types of interesting abilities with the most perfect object in the world! Candy. The rest of the pockets inside her pants and backpack was filled with just normal candy, but her waist carried along several pouches of her special candy, each pouch containing a different type of spell that would help her become stronger! It was only time before she would be stronger than Master, and it shall be glorious once she beats up that smug face! Grumbling to herself once again, Amber pouted as she started to unravel the crumbled letter. "Sorry for leaving you again for the third time. At least the train had stopped this time, am I right?" Sugar remembered that time, it was painful, "Well, I'll be back whenever I feel like it. Just get better in the mean time, another adventure awaits me! Signed, Candy."
"Master is an ass," Sugar muttered to herself, folding the crumpled piece of paper into a tiny neat square. She shoved it into an open pocket of her backpack, keeping it safe with the other two notes that Master had left for her. At the same time, once she removed her hand from the backpack, two gumballs were tightly gripped between her fingers. She popped the two within her mouth, her strong jaws easily turning the candy into a nice chewy mass. Sugar looked back towards the last location of the train before turning towards the nearest exit, heading into the city of Crocus for the Grand Magic Games.
Eve - Dragon Fang Hotel
After the shooting range, it seemed that the group split apart once again. Eve had to return to her guild, Nero left to some undisclosed location, and the same went for Ayame. She wasn't sure if the guild had seen her new transformation as she was one of the last ones to arrive at the hotel, but they would probably notice her rather large change in her body. Sleep was also something that was rather strange, it took getting used to the body and sleeping in the body was strange to her as well! Finding the right position to sleep in was the hardest, but it didn't take too long before she peacefully went into a deep slumber.
The Necromancer awoke with a jarring knock upon her door, jolting her to raise from her sleep and into a groggy morning. Before getting out of bed, she yawned while rubbing her eyes to try to lighten her heavy mind. So, Eve began her daily ritual of getting prepared for the morning that was achieved with the help of her guild. Hygiene was something that the Necromancer didn't know about too well in her past life, smelling like rotten meat was always something that she had gotten used to after living in the cursed village! So, she began by cleaning her body in the shower. And Eve couldn't lie, she noticed some parts of her body that were once flat to grow rather large after the transformation that Nero had cast upon her. After drying herself off, she brushed her teeth to help brighten her teeth and brushing away the bed hair that plagued her every time she slept. However, the only bad part about the transformation is that Eve could no longer fit into any other clothing besides the one that Nero had transformed for her yesterday! Eve needed to speak to him about changing all of her clothes as well, but at the moment she was rather hungry for some breakfast.
The Necromancer removed herself from the room, almost expecting to see someone approaching her, but it seemed that the hall was empty. She was lightly saddened by the sight, remembering yesterday morning and the terrible start of the day... Maybe she did need to speak with Time Lord. Eve sighed to herself before making her way downstairs towards the bottom floor for some food. This new body seemed to desire food more than her thin body, and she was pretty sure that was better. A nutrient poor body compared to a rather large body was kind of confusing, but she would like to think that this thing that Nero gave her was for the better, even if he admitted it was for his own pleasure. Still, Nero and Ayame were pretty great people, she knew that for sure! So, the Necromancer descended down the stairs for some warm food to be placed within her stomach.
Magni - Frenzy Plant Camp
Like usual, Magni was already awake before most people could stumble out of their tents. However, the Antimage seemed to wake up with aching muscles, but that actually a good sign for Magni. It meant that he was training hard, or he survived several battles without dying! Well, two fights in a row would do that to a person, especially since he had technically lost the first battle and was saved by his two allies. The Antimage didn't really like to acknowledge that fact, but he did have to admit that having other people supporting you was better than surviving on your own without any help. Still, being saved is rather embarrassing for anyone that prides themselves to be a skilled combatant since it shows that they aren't too strong. So, the Antimage knew that he needed to get stronger! Though, his thoughts seemed to wonder back towards the fights.
First, the other Antimages were probably still in custody of Frenzy Plant, and the fight with the Mystic Beast get kind of blurry if he tries to remember the details. Magni was pretty sure he was running off pure adrenaline in the middle of the fight, the exhaustion in his body was too much from his mind and was merely going off by his motions... That is pretty neat, he can still fight if his mind has shut off. The Antimage shook his head around before ceasing his training, speaking with the superiors about the two sets of fights seemed to be more important than doing stretches. So, Magni walked into the busier part of the camp to find an S-Class wizard and talk about the weird things that had happened yesterday, especially since the camp had gotten attacked twice!
So many Dark Guilds are starting to pop up! Magni and Ryker will have some fun if anyone should ever mention being apart of a Dark Guild with either of them around!
@Raijinslayer Oh, I don't think you answered my question from the first time and I just gotta know before continuing along with Sugar. Do you still want to two to interact with each other?
Magic: Candy Magic - Candy Magic is a type of Holder Magic, which involves the use of edible sweets to give power to the user. When ingested, the magically charged sweets provide several empowering effects relating to the type of confection that was eaten at the time. Candy can be combined to create even more combinations, but bad mixes can lead to adverse effects upon the user if not careful on what they eat. Another set back is actually if the user eats too much magically infused candy, they can experience a crash as it overloads the system with too much sugar and magic making the user effectively out of combat.
Jawbreaker: Upon digesting the candy, the user's hands are soon enveloped by humongous jawbreakers 14 inches in diameter. The jawbreakers are as hard as steel, however, 4-6 punches usually breaks a layer upon the jawbreaker making them smaller by 2 inches each. The jawbreakers usually fall apart when the the third layer is gone.
Taffy: Upon digesting the candy, the user become comically stretchy, but can't actually stretch himself out as other people need to stretch him. This candy isn't often used for combat situations and can only be useful in specific types of situations.
Mint: Upon digesting the candy, the user purifies itself of any Candy Magic inside of the system. Often used to switch through powers quickly if the situation demands for it.
Hard Candy: Upon digesting the candy, the user is enveloped in a flexible casing that is unnaturally tough, able to block against weaker types of attacks and able to reduce the damage of powerful attacks.
Sugar Candy: Upon digesting the candy, the pure amount of sugar makes the body extremely fast in both speed and reaction timing. This type of candy is quite unstable and may cause a faster crash.
Brittle: Upon digesting the candy, the user's body protrudes sharp and jagged pieces of brittle along the body and is able to be used in close combat or even shot out as a dangerous projectile. The brittle is tougher than its digestible form, but can be broken pretty easily, almost like wood.
Lollipop: Upon digesting the candy, an enormous lollipop will appear inside of the hands of the user. This is used to fight from afar as the lollipop stick reaches to over six feet with the top almost as hard as the Jawbreaker.
Candy Cane: Upon digesting the candy, a gracious stripped cane will appear inside of the hand of the user. Though, the tip is a rather sharp for any child to wield! Blunt on most of the weapon, the only part that can do some true damage is the tip that can pierce through many weaker defenses. It is as big as a regular sword would be, but it is made of candy.
Sour Candy: Upon digesting the candy, the acidic behavior of the candy will start to affect the user in quite a strange way. Her spit can burn its way through most objects, you read this right, her spit is acidic and it is some strong acid.
Gum: Upon digesting the candy, the user is able to generate gum for their hands, able to stick onto most surfaces, shape into anything they like, and be used a decent shield against attacks from its natural gummy state.
Caramels: Upon digesting the candy, the user is able to generate a sticky substance from their hands, similar to gum, but it able to launch out of their hands and stick onto stick itself onto other things quite well. However, it can’t be morphed or used as a shield
Marshmallow: Upon digesting the candy, the user sports a rather nice ability to make most attacks bounce off of the spongy material that can form out of her hands. They are also allowed to melt at her will, allowing for a rather sticky substance to be maybe used to suffocate someone.
(( List can expand if I have more ideas about candy based powers))
Magic Level: B-Class
History:
This girl managed to learn one of the most unknown and obscure types of magic in all of Fiore, lost when the sole creator who had meticulously worked upon the project for decades died without anybody knowing of his presence… Sad. It was only recently discovered by some street urchin who later handed down the knowledge to her as she was bumming across the land. This is her story.
It was a rather dark and stormy night, her parents footsteps splashed against the muddy water as dogs barked into the distance. They were fatigued, beaten, and starving. However, the one thing that kept them going was their daughter, wrapped inside of a dirty towel as she slept peacefully in her mother’s arms. This object of their affection was not going to be given to the man, they were not going to let their only daughter be taken away to be controlled by the corrupt system. Though, they didn’t know how long they could last, the barking was getting closer. “Honey! We have to shake them off our trail!” Lightning struck a nearby tree, jagged splinters hitting the leg of the mother. She screamed in pain, falling onto the ground, but managing to still keep the baby from a single scratch, still sleeping inside of the hectic background. The mother smiled before she realized that she was being dragged off into the tree line by the husband, he was grunting at the extra weight as his frail bones managed to carry them only towards a nearby river. “Please! Say something, say that you are going to make it!” The wife smiled weakly.
“I don’t think we are going to make it, but I know someone else can,” Her gaze wandered over to the baby hugging her arms.
“You don’t mean?”
“Y-Yes. We both agreed. If we can’t make it, then our baby can only have two fates… And I don’t want option B.” The husband looked horrified at his wife.
“No… NO! But, there is nowhere to hide. We can’t just leave the baby here!”
“We can’t… But do you know the rumor… That babies can swim?”
“You can’t be serious,”
“We have too! It is the only way! Hurry! Toss our child into the river!”
“The injures are affecting your mind! Maybe, maybe the system isn’t so corrupt. Maybe they can help us!” The husband received a quick slap to the face.
“Don’t you dare go back on your vows! We both agreed, and I can hear the footsteps getting closer.”
“Your… You’re right. I hope the baby will be safe.”
“Of course she will… She is our baby.”
The husband gently took the baby out of her mother’s arms, looking at her face once more before touching their heads together.
“We love you.”
“Freeze! Hands in the air!”
The husband threw the baby into the river, the little girl awakening to the rapid and cold water as she was swished away into the currents.
“Scumbags!” With the baby crying while drowning at the same time, several gun shots were heard.
“The End?"
Reese looked at girl with a smile on his face, three lollipops sticking out of his mouth.
“Huh! Pretty good right? Made that up after watching this cool movie!” Sugar exclaimed, nodding her head at the boy with an immense speed.
“Yeah… Pretty good for a pity story. Though, you would be dead if your parents threw you into a rapid river.” Reese chuckled, biting into a one of his lollipops, “I guess you earned one of these.” The Candy Boy chucked one of his wrapped lollipops towards Sugar. She greedily snatched it out of the air, unwrapping and shoving the delectable sweet into her mouth.
“You make such good candy!” She bit into the lollipop, “How do you make this!?”
“Well… Nah, I shouldn’t tell you. It’s a secret.”
“No! No! Tell me! I promise I won’t tell anyone! I promise!”
“You sure? Because, my methods are quite strange, and I’m pretty sure your body couldn’t handle the sudden intake of magic.”
“Magic?” Suddenly, a bright light shone from her hand as she looked away with a look of surprise on her face. Reese’s smile only managed to get larger as a the blinding light started to form into something solid. When the bright light stopped, she felt her hand gripping something, the little girl looked at the object and her jaw dropped. An almost six foot lollipop stick raised high into the air, with the bright candy donned on the top shining beautifully. “I… won’t tell anyone.” Sugar muttered in complete awe.
“Ok, here’s the secret.” Reese said with a stupid smile on his face.
Personality: Similar to her mentor, she is a sugar addled kid who has a remarkable amount of energy stored within the body. However, she is able to channel most of her unspent excitement into a stable form of cheerfulness with sprinkles of a kind attitude. Though, she still has the occasional bout of complete and utter insanity.
Guild and Guild Mark Location: N/A
Team Members: N/A
Three Strengths: 1. Sugar is able to give others her candy, giving them her powers. 2. Sugar’s powers can be used in both utility, offensive, and defensive capabilities. 3. Sugar keeps around a pretty nice attitude, you feel rather nice around her.
Three Weaknesses: 1. Crashes if not careful with his consumption of magically infused candy. 2. Even though other people might be able to eat his magically infused candy, there is the problem of learning how to use the power. 3. Still a little kid, doesn’t take pain too well.
Jorie sighed to herself, kicking her legs into the water as she stared into space. There seemed to be no one inside of the entire pool at the moment, and there she even checked the changing rooms! Well, except for the men's changing room for obvious reasons. So, with her rolled up pants, she continued to kick water into the air without any thoughts in her mind. Her paper thin antennae idly slightly twitching at the droplets of the chlorine water splashing on her face. She continued to do this until her hoodie started to vibrate once again with her stomach glowing from the brightness of the scroll. The vibrations through her body soon enough brought her out of her spell, regaining her consciousnesses from the calming waters. She tentatively pulled the tablet from her hoodie, putting her face close to the screen to read the message. It seemed that Sarina couldn't find anyone at the rooftops, and the missing team was evidently not located within the pool. Using her human arm, she started to type up a message to her team.
>Sender: Jorie Ngo >Receiver: JSSC JESS
"Uh?" Jorie questioned, confused by the auto-correct made by the tablet. She tried to type in JSSC once again thinking of it as some type of mistake, but it seemed to keep on auto-correcting itself to that acronym. She quickly tapped the screen a few times to check the people composed of this Team JESS to see that three familiar names popped up, but one stranger. "Who is Estellise" Jorie said to herself, hoping that she pronounced the strange name correctly. Staring at it for a couple of minutes, Jorie shrugged to herself about this new name for the team and the stranger.
>Sender: Jorie Ngo >Receiver: JESS >Body: Sorry, no luck at the pool. However, has anyone noticed the new name for the team? Team JESS? I'm kind of confused about this change... Can we go to back to the dorm to figure this out?
Getting up from her seat, she used her semblance dry her legs with the pressurized air, forcing the water to be shot off of her skin. She quickly rolled down her pants to cover her legs once again and headed for the exit. Jorie did find it quite strange to herself why she chose the dorm room, but she felt like that place would be less crowded than the empty halls as someone might intrude upon their conversation and might scare her in the process. Yes, the dorm should be empty of strangers.
I would like anything fantasy since the Overlord will feel at home if that happens. Though if it is vanilla than the Overlord will still be regarded as a black knight or king! The world though would just less cool stuff without things like trolls, dragons, and all that other D&d things.
@Raijinslayer Dang, you did really change almost everything about him the last time I saw him! I liked the original idea, but this one works just as well.
Also, I'm not sure how well Magni would react to him. He will definitely see the resemblance of between the two, especially regarding the blind vengeance part, but he has calmed down just a tiny bit after hanging out with Frenzy Plant for a couple of months. If the two ever meet, I think Magni might try to help if the two get to know each other, but he also might make things worse as well as Ryker might reignite his blinding hate of dark mages as well! Also, Sugar is going to be creeped out by him once the two meet if they will be still interacting with each other.
