Ira Amaterasu

Ira sat down at the bar . He felt many eyes staring at him. Everyone seemed to judge books by there cover around the tavern, or maybe it was because Ira had began to ooz dark magic aura. Secretly the demon’s word had actually struck a nerve but he wasn’t about to let that stop him from grabbing a cold drink. “I’ll take one of your strongest drinks. Doesn’t seem like people are much for hospitality around here.”

“ I’ll make them all pay for treating me so rudely but now isn’t the time. A fight here may just end up in my demise.” , Ira thought brashly. He then decided it may be best if he changed his attitude to better suit the setting. He turned to face the hall of strangers, some with face scrounged with hatred, others with curiosity. As Ira down his first shot he began to speak,” I may as well introduce myself. The names Ira. Now its your turn. Don’t everybody speak at once.” He directed his comment towards a young girl with an abundance of pink hair. It seem to compliment her eyes suited her body frame well. He flashed his signature smile at her, his melodic voice churning over the echoes of the hall murmuring about his comment. He hoped to make an acquaintance out of the young girl. After all manipulation was one of his perks. He continued to take shots as he awaited the young woman's reply.

As Ira headed towards his first drink of the day a sense of danger overcame his body. He felt a presence much like his own but it seemed torn between good and evil. Just as he got ready to shrug it off a person appeared before him, as if an angel fallen from the skies. The only difference, as Ira could now smell, it was a half bred demon. He smelled of the same components as Ira and as he spoke Ira‘s mind drifted. He tended to have a sense of pleasure from the smell. It made his day. After a mild threat from the inbred ,Ira began to respond, ”Thanks for your colorful choice of words but you don‘t scare me. I‘ve made worse things than you at younger ages but keep this in mind., he stepped into the demon‘s personal space and began to whisper in his ear. ”I have better things to do than to cause trouble in your already corrupted town. Now if you don‘t mind, I‘m parched. He brushed past the demon with a menacing smile. “By the way. What might your name be? And the pretty girl on top of the building. I‘d like to know her‘s also. Maybe I‘ll remember you guys when I crush you both beneath my heel.”, he spoke softly but ironically . He then proceeded into the bar.

Ira had finally arrived at his destination during mid-day. Before arriving he had concealed his magic so that his presence wouldn‘t be notice. This was a in and out mission . He already knew what he was looking for and had a pretty good idea of where to find it. With his sensory skills guiding him , he headed into town. Each person he came across seem to smile and wave so as a polite gesture , he did the same. At the end of a side street , there was a shop. Located there would perhaps be the other piece to the flute or maybe some type of clue. He didn‘t care honestly. All Ira knew was that this town always seemed to peak his curiosity. ”Hmm… I smell nostalgia in the air.” The last time he had been in Magnolia was doing the war, but he could still picture the broken and bruised corpses that once flooded the streets of the town. ” That‘s enough fond memory.”, spoke the ever-so clear voice in his mind. ”Business first“.,It crooned.

Ira entered the shop. It was dark, shady , and smelled of inscents. He carefully walked around the store, getting a feel for the place. He never even noticed the man staring him down behind the register. Such a menacing glare he had, but Ira would be to busy thinking about when he first found his beloved manuscript. It was almost like a bible to him. ”May I help you?" , a voice spoke. Ira approached the counter and began to fumble in his bag for the flute piece which was wrapped up in silk cloth. ”I figured you could, I’m looking for the other piece to this. I know you have it and I won‘t take no for an answer.” The man stared into Ira’s crimson red eyes. He knew the stare all to well. It was the look of a man determined to have his way, by any means necessary. He decided he shouldn’t lie. ”My dear boy, I have what you seek but it will cost you dearly. In order to obtain this object you must do something for me. I need for you to kill my brother who lives in the forest. If he dies then I can claim his land. Do that for me and this item is yours.”

”What’s to stop me from just taking it from you as we speak?” Ira snatched the flute from the man’s hand. ”Nothing I guess , but I will do your deed out of pity for your kind. One day your greed will consume you.” ,Ira taunted the man. He then proceeded to walk out the store when he felt the presence of someone rivaling his strength. He decided not to pay it any attention. Before he left the village he decided it would be best to get a good night’s rest and a strong drink. He stopped to a nearby tavern.

Ira continued on his journey mildly stopping in wooded areas to rest. He had decided it may be best that he not use his magic seeing as it had previously alerted his village once before. ”Lowkey is the way to be .” , thought Ira to himself. As he began to prepare for camp a platoon of villagers passed by on a nearby road. This seemed like an opportune moment to Ira. ”No more walking, finally.” , he thought to himself. As he began to approach the band of what he thought were travelers he wonder exactly what he would say. What story could he possibly make up for going to Magnolia.

”Hi I‘m Rajin. Mind if a catch a ride to the nearest village .” The travelers were reluctant at first but ultimately decided it may be worth their time. As they began to continue on their journey , Ira decided to nap in the back of the caravan. Little did he know, these weren’t travelers. They were bandits and they planned to rob him of everything he own. At the moment, he only carried the mementos of his idol. The bandits searched his things as he slept peacefully only to find a book and a broken flute. ”How trivial… He’s poor and dumb. Just our luck . Guess he as good as dead.” ,the bandits mumbled amongst each other. They thought they’d found a lost boy for whom they could hold for ransom. What they were about to find out was that he was something way worse than them.

The bandits stopped the caravan and surrounded Ira who laid asleep in the back. Each carried a knife or sharp instrument to some sort. Ira immediately woke to the mild sense of danger. He was keen to these types of situations. ”Hey guys I didn’t know we were having a party.”, he spoke calmly. ”Is it my birthday already? , he yawned slightly. The bandits immediately struck for the finish blows, only to find that their knifes broke at the touch of Ira’s skin. ”Tsk…Tsk. Now why would you want to do that? Are you forcing me to relieve you of the stress of life?” Ira grabbed the leader by his throat. The others saw the life drain from their former comrades body. They had lost their will to fight. They had also pissed off the wrong kid. Ira pulled down his mask to show an almost menacing smile.”Let’s have some fun . , he chuckled as rip a limb off yet another bandit.

After about thirty minutes all that lay left were rags and limbs. Ira proceeded to burn them as he didn‘t see the need in people knowing what he had done. When he finished, he made sure to keep a vial of blood from the leader. It may come in handy. Ira took the bandits caravan and headed for the town of Magnolia. He was upset his time had been wasted and it was already daybreak. ”There really is no sleep for the wicked.”

Ira had been traveling alone. Recently he had reached his destination of what was once the Tower of Heaven. He was currently searching for any clues that may lead him to another remnant of his Idol Zeref. To his disappointment all he had found was rubble. Perched at the highest poin the began to scouted the now desolated memories of the battle between the Great Natsu Dragoneel and former Council member Jellal.

“I must have the worst luck.” , he thought out loud as he began to read his favorite manuscript. What made it his favorite was the voice in his mind telling him to strive further. Eventually he would find what his heart longed for. Ira sat down amongst the rubble and began to concentrate. His magic began to conjure from his soul like a cauldron of burning essence. He tried to focus on anything that seemed close to the thing he held most dear, his manuscript.

Just as he was ready to give in to exhaustion something sparked his interest. He raced towards the spot where he felt the mysterious power. To his disbelieve, he found a only a piece of what he searched for. The manuscript began to speak to him, ”This my young boy is but a piece of what was once called Lullaby. It was a flute of immeasurable power, used to summon demons , kind of like yourself.”

”I must find the rest. Only then will I become even closer to my goals.” He then proceeded in the direction the manuscript gave him. He would be headed straight for the town of Magnolia.
