@IronWill Don't worry I'll factor that in.

Is it alright for me to give 'em a base of operations, nothing major but maybe a wing in an old Imperial fortress? It'd be sort of the headquarters for Hannes whole operation, so there'd be other Veterans dropping in and out on other missions, but Hannes would only really deal with his inner circle.

It'll be a challenge but Hannes doesn't take all of 'em with him except on very special occasions. Usually it'll be him and just one of the others, think kind of Mass Effect where you pick two companions to go with you on missions, but everyone's there for the final battle.

I intend to handle it like that, provided that's alright with you? I'll right some story to explain why the other characters aren't with Hannes, e.g. he sent the Twins to go deal with a nearby raider attack, whilst he and Anna headed off to the ship wreck they'd been paid to search.

@IronWill They'll probably think less of 'em for their lack of patriotism, but they won't hate them unless they actively act against the Empire. Trying to extort them when it comes to jobs, not paying due respect things like that.

Oh by the way here are the five other Mercs, their kit I've made slightly different to Hannes just to make things more interesting but they're still all pretty similar.

Janis Schrier

Bio: Janis is the youngest member of Hannes' group. The adventurous youth enlisted as soon as he was old enough to do so but by then the war was in its final stages. Nevertheless during his short term of duty the youth proved himself to be a reliable soldier able to take down targets with lethal precision.

Anna Tempel

Skills: Swordsmanship, Medical Training

Bio: Anna has been serving alongside Hannes as long as either of them care to remember. The two have had more close calls than they'd like to admit, with Hannes bearing the brunt of each encounter only for Anna to patch him back together.

Bio: The twins have been fighting longer than anyone else on the team, the two brothers fighting side by side since they were Janis' age. Hannes has come to rely on these two warriors, both are dependable and capable soldiers, and are utterly devoted to their cause.

Hergard Sullener aka Gizmo

Weapons: Flintlock marksmen rifle, short sword
Skills: Marksmanship, Swordsmanship, Engineering

Bio: Hergard is the old man of the group, he sees it as his job to try and keep the younger soldiers in line when Hannes isn't around. Hergard is effectively Hannes number 2. But above all else he's the man that keeps their equipment in good order and makes sure that they have a technological advantage over the enemy.
