@Soph123 'Fraid to say I've got about as many projects as I can handle right now but I'll be sure to drop you a message once I've got some more time on my hands.
@Eveekitten If you're still accepting people I'd love to take part, hopefully this fits the bill well enough?
Name: Telos Hastor Age: 19 Species: Human Title: Prince of Venetia Job: 2nd in line to the throne of Venetia, royal patron of the Mages Guild of Venetia.
Powers (if any): Electromancy - Like nearly all of his father's line Telos is adept at manipulating electrical energy. This can range from generating a small static charge to warm his drinks whilst studying, to calling forth bolts of lightning to strike those who would dare harm the people of Venetia.
Telepath - A gift of his mother's lineage Telos has a degree of telepathic ability. Whilst it is not as natural to him as his father's Electromancy Telos has mastered a few useful applications of his talents. At present Telos can use his abilities to get a very accurate empathetic read of people making him an excellent diplomat and counsellor. On occasion, and typically with people he has read before he can catch snatches of their thoughts, he continues to refine this power as best he can.
Weapons (if any): Veritas a finely wrought silvered rapier symbolic of his rank, is ever at Telos' side. His father and elder brother also bear silvered rapiers their's respectively being called Imperium and Bellum reflecting the trinity of men who presently rule Venetia and their respective talents.
Likes: Reading Magic Technology (Chiefly Clockwork, a new interest of many Venetians) Fighting (Typically that of a noble style, duelling rather than brawling) Venetia and Venetian Culture His Family Oratory
Dislikes: Threats to Venetia Stupidity Unfounded Confidence Breaches of Noble Etiquette and Protocol The Pressure on him to succeed
Talents: If it is a matter of erudition then Telos is likely to have a measure of familiarity with it. Beyond that he is the epitome of what Venetian noblemen wish to become, quick with rapier and word alike, and magically adept.
Personality: A sharp minded man Telos doesn't like to be idle, he is never to be found without a book on his person just in case things get boring. This latent restlessness spills over into his general demeanour, meaning that whilst he can be serious when he needs to, more often than not he is as jovial as circumstances will allow.
This pleasant demeanour is cast aside however, should Telos feel he, Venetia, or those he cares about have been wronged. He is more than willing to duel anybody who'd offer him an insult as is expected of a Venetian prince, and there are few who would like to have his considerable intellect applied to matters of their destruction.
Background: Prince Telos Hastor is the 2nd born son of King Titus Hastor and Queen Livia Hastor. From childhood he has been trained to be a refined and skilled gentleman, and whilst his elder brother was destined to rule, it was Telos who showed an aptitude for the arcane arts.
To this end Telos spent most of his formative years with various Magi mastering his magical talents so as to not bring ruin to those around him. Furthermore he was taught the nobleman's arts being taught: history, oratory, philosophy, science and fencing. Eventually he began to take on responsibilities in court, and at the age of 18 was named the royal patron of the Mages Guild of Venetia. Upon turning 19 it was decided by his father that Venetia needed to strengthen its ties with the rest of the world, and that his younger son could do with experience outside the world of Venetian nobility. Thus it was decided that he'd be sent to Avalon with the intention of establishing relations between Venetia and Avalon.
Pic/Description:
(In case the picture doesn't work here's a short description of Telos:
Standing about 6ft tall, Telos has an average build and sharp features. His black hair hangs a round his head in a rough style cut mostly to keep it out of his eyes and he does his best to keep himself clean shaven.
Typically he can be found wearing Venetian style clothing consisting of simple undershirts, waistcoats and tunics over which are worn more elaborate jackets, belts and cloaks. As a mark of rank Telos is allowed to wear gold in his clothing, a mark of his royal lineage.
Sorry I haven't been very active. I've just moved house and getting the internet set up is proving to be a huge pain.
That being said, I'm definitely accepting new characters, and I'm hoping to get the internet fixed by next week at the latest (I'll check in using data until then).
As for playing a Malkavian they're always fun to have around. As for generation I'd call it at 5th, maybe 4th if you could really justify it. Just keep in mind that if you make a low generation character to not make them too overpowered when you play them (at least when dealing with other players, don't just dominate everyone all the time for instance).
Just a heads up, I shan't be able to post for a little while as I've just moved house and won't have internet until Tuesday. @Azure Flame if you want to NPC Actus for the sake of story progression or anything else I'll leave it at your discretion.
Just a heads up, I shan't be able to post for a little while as I've just moved house and won't have internet until Tuesday. @scifidude47 if you want to NPC Cato for the sake of story progression or anything else I'll leave it at your discretion.
'I'm Cato' Cato said in response to Calvin's question. Cato... Cato... Cato he thought to himself. He'd found the name on a book in the cabin he'd woken up in. Unable to remember any other name he decided to take it as his own. Unfortunately he couldn't find anything out about the other Cato, only the front page of the book had survived being burnt leaving any answers sadly out of his reach.
He shook his head snapping himself out of his recollection. Gunfire, fighting, and the screams of beasts always drew attention. Better move he thought.
'Pam you any good in a fight?' he asked looking at the woman 'I get the feeling we'll have company soonish.' He turned back to Calvin and stooping down again asked him 'Calvin is you ride wrecked? We could do with a way out of here little man once we deal with the other people running about.'
When he finished speaking he grabbed his rifle in both hands and moved up to the bus he'd seen Pam in, trying to get an angle on where the car had crashed and the woman had been standing, whistling to himself all the while.
@RumikoOhara See that makes sense, but obviously there's no way for Cato to know what she can do until he sees it. All he sees is an armed person not helping in a fight, add that to some baseline idiocy and you can see where he's coming from.
I'm definitely looking forward to how our characters interact. I imagine Pam's going to try and manipulate Cato to do things he doesn't want to do, whilst he really just wants to keep Calvin safe.
I was mainly thinking that because Cato's mentality is stupidly heroic at times. He's the sort that would think if you didn't charge straight in or start shooting that you were gonna run away and not help. He's a bit dim, he jumps to assumptions, so sneaky people that aren't shooting in his mind typically equals cowardice.
Salutations and Felicitations!
