You don't have to make it a lethal dose, you'd still cause light rad poisoning and cancer for all the villagers to go with their birth deformities.

That said, can we not have radiological weapons? I mean, smashing a nuclear reactor into something with a huge warhead behind it is pretty serious and would spread radioactive material everywhere even if it wasn't a proper bomb. I mean there comes a point where you can just have your weapon spew radiation everywhere like an advanced dirty bomb, making the whole no nukes thing null given we were trying to avoid WMD's in general with the policy if I recall.

Up to Sigma tho.
If you want to poison thousands of square miles with every flight O.o
@The Nexerus

Nex, this is what has been agreed upon, more or less:

See, I had thought a massive undefined event set us back so totally every polity disintegrated into warring tribes and most written information was lost. From there culture evolved by word of mouth even as people forgot the old world, leading to old concepts being bastardized and pre-disaster history becoming mythology. What I'd gleaned from the OP was that it had taken just over a millennium for us to work our way up to the RP and in that time we had a huge history where technology was largely forgotten or seen as magic until it's 'rediscovery' as science began to make sense of what remained allowing us to found the nations we have now.

If you don't like it, then why post? The rest of the players here obviously have no problems with the setting and I HIGHLY doubt the GM is going to alter the entire RP to gratify you.
That seems to be what we all agreed upon just now, yes :P
Well we took care of history, but there was still a minor dispute over tech levels right?

Were we at the 50's with outlier retro-future technologies or beyond the fifties with all retro-future technologies?

@Sigma@Brink_
@Brink_Hm, I had taken it that we were AT 1950's era tech with bits and pieces of retro futurism thrown in due to the odd way things developed post war. On the other point, it seems we agree on the basic concept of where civilization devolved but differ in our interpretation of how it progressed from there. See, I had thought a massive undefined event set us back so totally every polity disintegrated into warring tribes and most written information was lost. From there culture evolved by word of mouth even as people forgot the old world, leading to old concepts being bastardized and pre-disaster history becoming mythology. I think we can find a consensus there though, I'm not too set in my ideas.

@Sigma No problem.
@Isotope A good point, and it is true. A discussion is in order then to maintain such consistency, an agreed upon account of the events that went on with Europe during the Age of Darkness and afterwards.

Indeed, and if you want I can help you edit the OP to clarify stuff once we work things out more precisely.

@Inkdrop Personally, I'd rather have the catastrophe be a complete wipe far in the past and now instead of declaring magic we're studying old tech and learning it's secrets. Like, ICs would be primitive and rare at this point but we would be able to understand the theory behind them due to studying past examples.
Cascadia would have sold export versions of equipment to the UPC under earlier administrations.

Also, and maybe it's just me, but I'm noticing an odd disparity between some nations history. Franco Iberia for example almost seems to pick up as if the EU and other nations were mostly intact with their tech (despite it having been over a millennium since the cataclysm) while the Holy Hungarians and myself for example presume civilization was set back totally and nearly all polities were destroyed along with their tech. I mean, i was under the impression we all got sent back to the iron age or earlier and we've had to work our way back up.

Idk, but maybe we should discuss it for the sake of consistency @Sigma @Willy Vereb @Nerevarine @Brink_ ?
I added some northern territories for myself (and maybe removed the ugly black lines)!

@Nerevarine Want to work together on an NPC Japan seeing as we both have designs for it?

Also @Sigma@Monkeypants We should add some in NA.

EDIT:Added Brinks African NPC's
Because it means nukes have been invented and used, and beyond that I just hate the idea of nukes in RP anyway. I don't give a damn how realistic it is nukes always lead to stupidity 100% of the time in every case. Doom sat or otherwise

If we're going the route anyway I'd rather just make them impossible to make in the first place.
