@InkdropWe should work out some existing relation there then because this would not be a recent practice.

Cascadia has a historical and religious hatred of abhumans (which they designate subhumans) going back centuries, so I can't help but imagine that this practice of keeping you out of the pacific goes back to a mere few years after they had consolidated their rule over southern Alaska decades ago.
Indeed @Inkdrop, I imagine the West Arctic Federacy would provide some semblance of political protection in the arctic ocean, but once you enter the bering strait Cascadia would be waiting to intercept you.

A note on the WAF though, they are a very poor nation (Cascadia took their most populous and developed land 60-70 years ago) and would be unable to protect your vessels militarily, though they would certainly try to ensure the lives of your crew against execution which is common Cascadian practice for enemy abhumans.

I wonder how it would fare against a Jackson...

It's hard to say, the HT-100 seems like it would be a bit slower and less maneuverable but I imagine it would have greater frontal armour and (potentially) a larger gun with it's 125mm high velocity cannon.
@InkdropI mean, I imagine it would be significantly more severe than that. Given my people regard yours as well, unintelligent useless animals and abominations.

Also, because I am insanely fickle, a new HT-100! For realsies this time!

BTW, I changed the HT-100 (my new and main tank) image to something more in line with my nations style.

Also @Inkdrop you're close enough to actually have had some contact with me through the northwest passage that is almost certainly clear the vast majority of the year with warmer temperatures and all. I figure you might even have been involved in the Cascadian war against the West Arctic Federacy (big nation above me on the map) some fifty or sixty years ago when I took south western Alaska.

As it stands Cascadia likley has always treated any of your ships as enemies or illegals even in international waters and would try to seize them on sight if they were outnumbered. Up to you though, not sure if you even cross the northwest passage.
Coolio @Monkeypants! I pretty much agree, there isn't a reason for Cascadia to aggravate the NAU at the moment so they'd be careful to treat you with courtesy, given short term their goals align.

Also I added a class of soldier partly because of your power dudes :P.
Changed up my aircraft section a bit, added some basic info if anyone wants to look.

BTW @Monkeypants what would the NAU think of my nation based on the new info I provided?
@InkdropWell you can count on not being recognized by one nation at least :P
@ShorticusOur relationship is likley extremely rocky if not outright cold. Your gene manipulation would be seen as as a societal and religious affront, and you represent an uncertain quantity in Asia as compared to the more ideologically compatible Great Han. The rebels just add another point of conflict.
Speaking of Grogar and civil war Sigma, we need to work out Cascadias role in all this. I imagine the rocky mountains shield them from the conflict far more effectively than the NAUs border region does so Cascadia might be less involved.

That said, those same mountains make Cascadia a haven for refugee's, I can easily see it being seen as a sort of hopeful dream safe from conflict by the populace of the plains.

Which ties into the plan I had, immigrants are non citizens in Cascadia unless they serve in the military, so there would be an incentive for massive recruitment were I to move on some area of the fractured coalition.

Hmm, we should hash this out in a pm.

Hmm, I'm curious. Could there be a trans-Pacific slave trade going on between The Great Han and Cascadia? It could be a nice way for the Great Han to get rid of Colonial peoples to complement their practice of mass deportation. You know, if Cascadia is in need of some Coolies for construction.

It's possible, that said slavery in Cascadia is largely in the form of servants for the wealthy. I can imagine nobles buying 'exotic' slaves to serve them in notable quantity but mass import of labor is unlikely. Refugees from the plains have already swelled the population, there's hardly a need for more mouths to feed.
