The Spore Forums, they had an RP section that was more-or-less unpoliced since the mods didn't ever want to admit it even existed. Then the power structure or something changed and they decided they would, and me and the group of friends I RP'd with left; if because most of us were under direct threat of the mods.

At that time there weren't even admins to keep an eye on the mods. They became the admins by default.

I mean, no matter my overlord there`s going to be FUN MEETINGS
@BuddhaI honestly couldn't say how to fix it, but the problem is pretty clear.

NRP's are infamous for false starts. They take more planning and collaboration by their very nature, and as a result when one player fails it can drag down an entire RP as suddenly there is a void in the plot, the setting, and EVERYONE's histories. I am a bit of an elitist NRPer in that I only play character interaction based NRP's that function for the sake of the plot, but in those at the least this is something I've noticed.

It's a problem endemic, to some extent, to the RP type. Honestly, NRP has never been the most popular section and it never will be. This is a part of that.

New blood is hard to get because having new inexperienced players often worsens that issue before it starts to freshen up the section.

This is all personal opinion, I have NOT been elected by NRP to represent them

Adding to this that all the respective forums bar maybe tabletop have an existing reputation for being noticeably toxic or unreliable. Even more so than 1x1? Yes even more so than 1x1, that's possible apparently. Which is an issue on it's own we need to address at some point... New blood in arena, tabletop and NRP seems hard to come by.

Yeah, NRP is doing a bit better but after three years it's very rare to see a new face in the section.

An unpopular opinion: Reduce the number of sections to the old Free, Casual, Advanced.

I play almost exclusively in NRP, but I feel like niche sections create niche communities. This makes natural introduction to that community hard and as a result creates an ever diminishing pool of players.

Khan did you set that link to temporary?

Is the permanent link.
I plan to have a small free city/trade city under an Exarch on that south east spur of the mainland there.

Should have a sheet out once I know who that areas Archon is.
