Name: Mah'al Adnalith

History:

Mah'al Adnalith, otherwise known as the Mah or Mah'al is the force that threatens the destruction of all things related to chi, magic, sorcery, and culture. The Mah'al is a religion that birthed technological advances, likely created by those who could not wield the powers of the earth. Followers of the Mah'al create enormous machines, destroy forests, and create the first guns.

Once sought as a great advancement in transportation and other uses, the use of said material has caused many to go insane after long exposure. Those who use the Mah's technology become slaves to their own creations and will abandon their homes to create more. Some believe it's in the materials used to make the metal alloys, others say its exposure to the steam and electricity. One thing is known for sure; once a city creates these steam-powered constructs, the citizens lose themselves and their individuality.

Lotus Port has had their fair share of interaction with the Mah'al but has been able to defend themselves. Their last contact with any of the Mah'al's ships was over ten years ago, back when the war seemed to plague their land. Some fear they are due for another attack while others believe that the Mah'al have finally disappeared.
Sure thing! :D I'm posting something in the char sheets too. A "name" for our antagonist, so to speak.
How about dis?

I just pulled it off deviant art. Hope it's not too big
Yes we should! Do you want to write the first post or shall I?

*scurries off to find a cool cityscape for the first post*
<Snipped quote by Izuriel Steam>

I know. I meant for your pics. Number one or four. But I'm odd.

Oh you're already here! hahah

I was thinking 1 or 4 as well! 2 and 3 were more in desperation. :P Hmm... I think I'll go with the first one! :D
I like number one or number four but I'm odd like that.

I posted it in the character sheets :D

Name: Icha Malmordia

Age: 24

Race: Ishari

School: Known as "Kobudo" to some, as he specializes in Bo, Sai, Tonfa, and Nunchaku. Though he can wield a variety of swords, he prefers his more exotic weapons. He is a very defensive fighter who relies on quick movement and powerful one-hit strikes. As an Ishari, he is capable of moving water but not enough to defend himself properly.

Weaknesses: If he is faced with an opponent much faster than himself, he is likely to be at a disadvantage due to his fighting style.

Weapons: Bo Staff, Sai blades, multiple Tonfa and Nunchaku. He only carries one or two weapons on his person at a time most days.

History: Icha Malmordia is a strange soul. Once a wanderer, as many Ishari are, he eventually came to Lotus Port and called it home. His childhood was normal for his tiny water bearing tribe. They traveled the land growing trees and flora to prevent mudslides, they fixed dams that needed them and purified water. Icha had a knack for purification and manipulating water into its three different states, but always preferred playing with sticks and staves. He trained to become a protector of their tribe and at eighteen, Icha earned his first staff and title Four-Winged Warrior.

However, he would only be their protector for one year before his tiny village was pillaged by a group of Noyud barbarians. He slaughtered them all, not only with his staff, but with their own weapons. Unfortunately, the barbarians murdered the entire village. That was the first time he ever brandished a blade other than a Sai, something he never thought necessary. So he set off, travelling as is the Ishari way.

Four years ago, his arrival was a shock to many at Lotus Port, as the Ishari often stay away from cities. A year into his stay, he was still partially shunned by them. That is, until he earned his keep as a group of bandits hurtled through the port, destroying everything in their path. Icha stopped them, though he dismembered them in the streets using his Tonfa, the city was grateful that none of its citizens were harmed. He declined the offer to be part of their city guards, but he is seen in great respects since then.

Human: Humans are often equally capable of Wuxia, however some do learn faster than others. Humans are most common throughout the land, however not in all places.

Noyud: ("n-oi-ood") Noyud are the runner up in population. They are very much alike Humans in appearance aside from their culture. Noyud are the most industrious of races; often sway deep into their work, Wuxia, or military. In appearance; their skin is redder than Humans most of the time, but their largest difference is their size; an average adult female stands just under six feet while the men can tower over seven, but not much higher. Many men and women wear piercings on their ears showing their tribe.

Ishari: Ishari are the third race and are the rarest of their larger counterparts. Ishari often live far outside of towns or cities and nearly all of them are well versed in some form of elemental sorcery. They vary in height from very short to incredibly tall but all have slightly pointed ears and slanted features.
Doesn't have to be a pairing! :D I'll send you a PM!
Hello!

I used to be a member of this site a loooong time ago and others like it, so ignore my very non-existent post count, please. I can always provide examples, just ask.

Furthermore, I do take a day or two off at a time to conjure an idea (or a plethora of) in my head. If I am gone, it's because I have work and I just can't force myself to write. I always come back, so please have patience with me and understand that even though I may not be bountiful in my writings; they are well thought out.

Open to all mediums; forum, PM's, email/google docs.

Basic Stats about me:

Literacy skill: college level. Sometimes I get a few punctuation wrong or repeat a word, but always understandable.
Paragraphs per post: 2 - 10, always well thought out.

* I only say 10 because I tend to get really involved in a story and tend to write a lot, but it's always a good read, at least I try. If you're worried about what I write in volume, do NOT worry. I love writing a lot and I am in now way offended if you write a few paragraphs compared to what might possibly be my dozen paragraphs, that's the best part of it, I think. :)

Settings/Ideas:

Virtual Reality Massively Online Role Playing Game

In short: similar to Alfheim Online (aka Sword Art Online) but you need not know that to join in.

Our characters, up to four or six or just two of us will play in a game called ______. Story mechanics will be handled by myself as well as driving storyline and plot. The basics for each of our characters will be simple; pick one of six races (we can overlap or be all one race) and write an intricate storyline to bring us all together and eventually "beat" the game. It's a very lighthearted idea, to be honest. I'll come back to this idea.

Apocalypse-
Enter/Pre-Apocalypse:
- The world is set many thousands of years into the future from our current timeline. As the human race advances, they replace fossil fuels with solar panels, wind/ocean turbines, and even manage to bring all developing countries up to more modern times. Technology is so evolved that all humans are host to a wide variety of nanobots, especially in the brain, to enhance every facet of the Human experience. News, social medias, and art have all evolved to fit with the Human Network, known as the H-Net or simply [i]the network.

Approximately 99.98% of all humans are given their first inoculation at birth and receive more doses over time. Those without the nanobots flowing through their bloodstream cannot access most everyday technology as much of it is activated through telepathy. Humans can also communicate telepathically and even perform small feats of telekinesis. Screens exist more or less in touchable holograms that are accessible nearly anywhere and sensory input is solely decided by the user. These screens are created by a fine wave of particles and can be viewed by a large crowd or by a small group of people to prevent crowding. Without these nanobots, the world looks mad, waving their hands at invisible screens. But with them, the world is more colorful than the few colors and grays that any human can know.

As humans have evolved with this technology, so have their bodies and rejection of the nanobots is nonexistent. Even the poorest of countries and people are connected to the Network.

Then the network is lost. First in the space colonies, then on the ground. A simple solar flare to take the entire human race offline, or so it would seem. From Mercury to Mars, all had humans lost their limitless source of innate power and unable to use much of the incredible technology that relied on their powerful telepathic and telekinetic connections. Insanity ensues as many of the humans can no longer think rationally or even communicate. So the world's only hope rests on the shoulders of those who can reboot the network.
