Alison's gaze shifted quickly to Kurt as he disappeared and reappeared in a puff of purple smoke. Teleportation? That could definitely come in handy. Her thoughts drifted to a few of the many "narrow escapes" she'd recently experienced with her father, Carter. Since her powers had manifested, Alison had been rather elusive at home. She spent her weekdays dedicated to study and snuck out on weekends to perform in the jazz clubs around the city. Her father's busy lifestyle had him coming and going at all hours, which had made it difficult for Alison to go anywhere without him knowing. In fact, Alison had led him to believe that today was simply a trip to the department stores with her grandmother, Blaire. She looked to the worn out leather jacket clutched behind her shoulder. It's all girls are talking about now, dad. Oversized men's jackets are the real deal.

She smiled and shook her head as Logan's leather jacket engulfed her girlish figure. Atticus, as she could now call him, playfully continued her banter as the group of students headed up the stairs. The air became immediately less dank in the more open common room of Xavier's Institute. She welcomed it into her lungs with a few soft, deep breaths. The scents lingering in the stitching of Wolverine's jacket filled her nostrils with each intake of breath and small chills ran down her spine. As if reading her thoughts, the brutish man spoke from behind the bar. His voice was sounding more and more constricted with each conversation. Alison reached her hands into the collar of the jacket and released her luscious blonde girls. They swept across the leather slowly as she approached the bar for some food.

Alison instinctively went for the refrigerator she had seen Snark rummaging around in earlier. Her hands grabbed for a few of the sandwiches, and she turned with them towards the others. Alison waved the sandwiches above her head as she addressed the group.

"Who's hungry?"

She smiled brightly and laid the stack gently on the bar, keeping one for herself. Alison didn't hesitate to take bite after bite as she walked behind Logan and towards the far end of the bar. She rolled up the sleeves of his jacket and hoisted her tiny body up onto the bar. Alison crossed her legs and fit perfectly on the weathered oak surface. She finished her sandwich as Wolverine began preparing himself a drink from the bar's selection. She watched his eyes focus on the clock. 3 o'clock, where had the time gone? She followed him with her dazzling blue eyes as he settled into a booth. Alison looked around the room once or twice before shrugging her shoulders and jumping from her seat.

As she made her way towards the older mutant, Alison stopped short a few feet from Yukiko. She crooked her lips into a sly smile and changed directions fluidly. She stood beside the smaller Asian girl and bowed slightly. She knew very little of the girl's customs, but figured she wouldn't need to carry on much conversation before attracting further attention. Alison was smarter than she looked. Admittedly, it had come to her advantage throughout the years. She smiled sheepishly at Yukiko and spoke gently.

"Alison. I'm Alison. So, how did you get stuck with the wolf man?"

She motioned her head backwards towards a brooding Logan in the corner booth and flashed her bewitching smile.
Back to the grit and grind of reality for me :/ find joy, find joy, find joy. My mantra to make it to the weekend! Thanks for asking, Pie ^^
I regret to inform you all that jagajac has died... of exhaustion. Will sincerely try to get my post up tomorrow. Planning on stirring up the pot a little.

Hatred.
*not of you. Of this day in general :}
I hope all is well. I had typed my IC response tediously into my notes on my iphone (cause I don't have my comp) and then when I tried to post the site was being updated. Just randomly woke up for some reason, and I couldn't resist from posting. Time to roll back over and sleep!
Dahlia took two times the number of steps Jeff did in order to keep up. She walked as quickly as she could, noticing the efforts he took to keep by her side, and listened intently as he spoke. A gentle breeze ruffled the crumpled green bills he held out to her, and Dahlia smelled the faint scent of the Mundane money. As he raised his eyebrow, Dahlia noticed a small cut above his eyelid. She pulled her brows together questioningly and reached to gently lift his frames, ignoring the money for the moment. Her small hand lifted the sunglasses briefly above the bridge of his nose, and she caressed the swollen, purple skin with her delicate pinky finger. Dahlia's eyes, though hidden, glazed over with concern and compassion. Her instinctual nature to mend and care for took over.

Dahlia dropped Jeff's sunglasses back onto his face, wincing at her carelessness, and swiveled her head in all directions of the alley way. A small faucet dripped from one of the abandoned brick walls. She quickly walked over to it and let the water lather the tips of her right hand. Dahlia cradled her palm close to her chest and jogged back to Jeff's side.

"Hold still. This won't hurt."

Dahlia slid four of her fingertips under Jeff's eye and rested her thumb across his cheekbone. The remaining droplets of water began to flow towards his skin and were misted over in an icy glaze. As they penetrated deep into Jeff's skin, Dahlia hoped their cold, soothing effect would reduce his pain and swelling. The gesture took only a few seconds, but Dahlia's eyes didn't steady for an instant as she manifested her powers in the vacant space. She was diligently searching for any signs of disturbance. Her hand slowly slid away from his face, and she brushed away the remaining water onto her pant's leg.

She sighed heavily and took the money from Jeff's hand. The tiny girl stepped forward and stood on her tiptoes to wave the bills closer to his face.

"Don't tell Asa I did that. I won't tell him you did this. We're even. Jeff, you can't... You shouldn't... I don't want you..."

Her tone began firm, but quickly turned to concerned frustration. It had been hard enough adjusting to everyone since Asa had recruited them in Undaro. This week on the surface felt like starting over in a way. It was all so different, and Dahlia was still struggling to separate emotions from their mission. She lowered herself to normal height and looked down at the money. A low grumble ran through her stomach. She was pretty hungry and eating in the Mundane restaurants was always an experience. She looked back up at Jeff and mumbled the next words rather quietly.

"Lead on."
I got decked in the face trying to break up a fight at the middle school I work at yesterday. My principal told me I didn't have to come in today, but I didn't want the kids saying I was a weakling. So... I went and I swear everywhere I went someone was ogling at my bruised jaw. I'm 23 and now the kids think I was bested by a 12 year old.
