Thanks guys! Love your leadership :)
Jorie's eyes narrowed skeptically as Michael reassured the group of their safety. She raised a golden eyebrow high into the slight wrinkles of her forehead and smiled narrowly. Jorie knew Michael had good intentions, and besides, what other choice did he have at the moment. She wondered how long it had taken the man to perfect the art of "thinking on his feet". Her mind wandered aimlessly to thoughts of his adventures, and she let out a small sigh before straightening up to full attention once more. Perhaps this was her chance to prove herself and her abilities in the field she so longed to be an integral part of...adventuring. Jorie's bright green eyes disappeared as a wide smile creased across her face.

"Well Professor, I think you've got yourself a delivery crew."

She motioned her head to each side, acknowledging Tyler and Marie, and placed her hands determinedly at her hips. The texture of Maren's Friend Ball lingered along her fingertips, and she looked down with concern clouding her vision. Maren had received a rather nasty peck wound during his earlier battle, and Jorie knew he wasn't prepared to win another skirmish should it arise in the near future. She unlatched the Pokeball from her waist and extended it out towards Michael. Her eyes met with his own, and her shoulders shrugged as she questioned the man.

"Could Maren have a quick visit to your Pokecenter before we head out? Always good to air on the side of caution. Speaking of, do you think we could borrow some supplies from your lab in case of emergency? I know the way very well, but the forest is always lurking with secrets..."

Jorie turned her eyes away from the Professor as her words trailed off. Her body erupted in chill bumps, and a shiver traveled down her spine. The stifled memory of Jorie's mother teased at the girl's consciousness. She bit the inside of her cheek and tried her best to contain the moisture welling up in her eyes. Dry it up, Jor. Beckett's firm, but gentle, encouragements rang clearly in Jorie's ears. She shook her head and blinked hard before looking back up with an irresistibly happy face. The lapse of emotional strength was undetectable, but she sniffed hard hoping to play it off as casually as possible.

"And how will we recognize your sister, Professor?"

Jorie kept her arm extended, tapping her fingers rhythmically against the Friend Ball, as she waited for a response.
You've got it, dude! Write up your CS, minus the Whisper post, and then I'll PM you with suggestions for a Whisper :)
There's not a particular type widely used. It varies from character to character. Even Lilith practices magic, but she sticks to illusion spells for the most part.
Found my muse tonight! But I need to get to sleep before work tomorrow. Promise a post on the morrow. Thanks for your patience, loves<3 means a lot
A little showy for my sweet Ali, but the challenge was issued. It would be wrong for her to sit back and idle ;) I'm guessing that will be one of the last posts for me before the jump forward. Still working with Mog through PM. If anyone else needs Charles' input, let me know. It's been a rough week, but I had a good night tonight. Yay for good friends and fellowship. Love you guys!
Alison shifted her weight on the counter top as Kimberly approached her from across the room. She reached her palms backwards and rested them on the smooth wooden surface, keeping her posture casual and non-threatening as the other mutant girl spoke up. Woah Nelly, are we gonna play the alpha game this early? Ali's golden eyebrows raised upwards quizzically, and her blue eyes shone with the intensity of surprise. She didn't really see herself as a "leader", but she knew she most certainly wasn't a follower. So where did that place her in this band of misfits? It was true, she thrived on attention and almost attracted it like a magnet, but the uncertainty of her powers did not seem like a desirable quality for a leader in this place. Her eyes flitted over to Logan, and she tried to put herself in his shoes. Her thoughts couldn't stay focused for long, and she found her mind wandering to other things. Ali's lips turned into a smile as she focused her attention back to Kimberly.

"When it comes to bands, sweetheart, I'm the lead singer. I don't doubt that impressive voice of yours, but every band needs backup singers."

She was feeling quite confident, despite her earlier slip up. This atmosphere of raw energy and power seemed to give Ali a new spirit. She winked, expressing her jest, and brushed her hair forward in a delicate wave of blonde beauty. Alison's body flinched slightly as the doors to the Academy flung open in a fierce gesture. She immediately jumped down from the counter defensively and stood securely beside Kimberly. The boy that entered looked disheveled and surrounded by an atmosphere of surprise and shock. His demeanor shifted as he ran a hand through his greasy hair and introduced himself to the group. Ali's posture relaxed, and she crossed her arms snuggly underneath her breasts. She narrowed her eyes, examining the newcomer, and a thought quickly crossed her mind. King me. Ali kept her arms crossed and her tone welcoming, but there was a hint of sarcasm as she spoke.

"You're a little late for the party, Kev. There's still time to shine though."

Ali looked upwards to the vacant ceiling, focusing on a loosely hanging chandelier, and focused again on the softer incoming vibrations of sound from the outside. If she wanted a chance to slightly redeem herself, it was now. She shot a smug glance at Yukiko and Kimberly as pure photons of concentrated light glinted around her figure. Ali stepped beneath the chandelier, and the fading light from the windows intensified the effect of her glow. Beautiful, brightly colored sparkles coated the walls of the common room, and Ali's dazzling smile erupted on her face. It was a brilliant setup, which she carefully concentrated using the most gentle of sounds. And that's how you do it, Ali.

"You're turn, Kevin."

She continued to let the marvelous lights dazzle from her body, basking in her success, confidence, and feeling of absolute peace.
After a really cleansing night, I finally found my writing muse :) thanks for the patience everyone.
Dahlia's facial muscles tensed, and she stealthily bit her bottom lip as Asa questioned Jeff's bruised eye socket. She wanted to distract the attention from his suspicious and somewhat reckless behavior, but she also knew that Jeff could hold his own under pressure. Her thoughts were confirmed at his light hearted responses. She couldn't help but catch his contagious smile and relaxed her body simultaneously. Dahlia admired his quick wit and humor, and she had even let it rub off on her during their time together. Although at this particular moment, in the presence of Asa and Carter, Dahlia simply mimicked his grin and resisted interjecting into the conversation. Jeff was smart, despite his rash nature, and she trusted his intentions would be made clear at tonight's meeting. The danger in it was all that concerned her. These Uisilons had literally become a sort of dysfunctional second family to Dahlia, and her instinct to nurture had begun to overcome her. She looked up to Jeff through her thick lenses, lingering on his face, until his head turned as something else caught his attention.

Dahlia followed his gaze and recognized Rayne's bright tresses blowing aimlessly against the breeze. The girl's small body seemed as still and motionless as a statue. Dahlia's cheeks began to warm as the three male Golden's continued their conversation casually, acknowledging Rayne ever so slightly. She hadn't really been able to break a barrier with Rayne. The girl's introverted nature kept her quite silent in words and actions. Dahlia balled her fists slowly at her side, gulped slightly, and took a few cautious steps towards the girl. She looked back over her shoulder for Jeff's reassuring gaze, but he and Carter were exchanging states. Alright Dahlia, you can do this. Just say hi. The worst that can happen is... Her thoughts went unfinished as she realized she was now only a few feet from the timid girl. A man on a motorcycle flew by them loudly, and Dahlia was unable to stifle her hands from grasping at her small earlobes. Her clenched eyes opened cautiously, and she exhaled into the quickening silence. Her golden eyes, shaded by the sunglasses, stared wordlessly into Rayne's face.

"I can't stand these Mundane noises. It makes me miss the quiet places in Undaro. I used to sit under the main bridge by the stream for hours. The lights made the water come alive with colors and gave it a personality."

Dahlia's speech was filled with nostalgia as her mind wandered back to that familiar place. She hadn't meant to say any of it, but it seemed to spew forth like a broken fountain. As another car came speeding towards them, Dahlia stepped backwards and pressed her palms against the windows of the coffee shop. Her heart beat wildly in her chest, and her sweaty palms were beginning to slide down the glass. The car came and went, but Dahlia stayed glued to the building. Her eyes darted from the men and then back to Rayne. She absolutely hated displaying a weaker characteristic so publicly. Jeff was the only one who had truly seen her fearful responses to the Mundane sounds, and even those instances were few and far between. It's only week one. Dahlia rolled her eyes and shakily pushed away from the window.

"I literally can't stand these Mundane noises."

She smiled weakly and felt a twinge of Jeff's teachings rush through her body.
