Alisa Sokolov - USSR

Name: Alisa Sokolov
Age: Around 15/16, but is short for her age. Whenever asked, she replies "Eighteen" with a hint of sarcasm.
Appearance: If you can imagine it, picture the kid wearing a light brown winter coat with a soviet pin on it, as she doesn't get a uniform.

Background: Alisa is one of many of Russia's children caught up in the war. The rest of her family was killed when the Germans began to bomb the motherland. Needless to say her heart was broken by this, and unusually for her age and gender, the girl was confident enough to take up arms against the invaders. For revenge, and because there wasn't anything left anyway - who cared if some stupid child went and got killed for their country? All the young men were doing it, and some of the women too! With nobody left to guide her away from the path of carnage, a teenager went to war; nobody even knew she was there most of the time.

It didn't take her long to figure out that her childish decision fueled by anger and hatred was entirely the wrong one. Total war was nothing like she'd imagined it to be. As fortune would have it, Alisa miraculously survived encounters with the enemy soldiers during the initial stages of the battle. Being small really sent her survival chances skyrocketing! She could run faster than her lumbering comrades, fit into tight spaces and move as quietly as a mouse when it was called for. Firefights were intense from the first bullet fired, so avoiding those became a priority of Alisa's - she couldn't even peer over cover to shoot back in fear of her life being cut short, but hadn't she already accepted death, come to terms with it all? Fear played a role in keeping her alive.

It turned out that communication was lacking in the Red Army structure, not because people weren't sociable, it was because the damnable phone lines and cables kept getting shelled to shreds. Word had to get around, either from the other end of a telephone or by personal delivery. After being picked out by an old Commissar for her odd difference to the regular soldiers, Alisa's new job was rushing letters or verbal messages around the front lines and between outposts.. if they didn't have a radio or a telephone, anyway. Between snipers, mines, stray patrols and machine gun nests, being a courier in Stalingrad wasn't the safest job. Somebody had to do it though, and if not Alisa, then they'd probably be sending the wrong people for it...

:: M38 Mosin-Nagant Carbine, which has a single tally line etched into it - one kill.
:: A Courier's Bag for messages, and any useful items she might come across. In here she has a roll of bandages, and a compass.
:: A scope, but she can't attach it to her rifle as it isn't supposed to fix onto anything. It's merely a tool for recon.

"You mean to tell me Yomi is...!" Kaori suddenly turned to her partner and fell to her knees again. "I called the prince an idiot! ...Multiple times! Oh god!" she cried in shock and horror at the sudden development, grabbing her katana and unsheathing it, aiming it directly at her own gut. "Forgive me, Lord Yomi! I put myself at your mercy!"

Seigi no Futaken [Jakeozzy n' Demon Shinobi]

Kaori suddenly kneeled and bowed in respect of the Shogun, and of his wife who seemed happy enough now she wasn't caged like an animal. She sent a death glare up at Yomi, as she believed there was no need to freeze still. The Shogun was pretty god damn amazing, but not to a gawking extent. ...But the longer she looked at Yomi, the more she felt he had a familiarity with the middle-aged Shogun before them.

"It was an honour to serve you, and to protect Lady Kasumi," Kaori mentioned after a short moment of silence. Bringing herself back up into a normal kneeling position, she watched the others in the room curiously.

Yomi was Tokugawa Takashi, I can remember that well.

I think the Shogun's wife was named Sumire or something... O_o *shrugs*

Fallout: The Northern Wastelands [Jakeozzy & Grey]

The grenade exploding in the underground made the air ring, Sarah having to clutch her ears to stop them being damaged. As if to push the three back as they broke into a run, another sinister howl rang out deep in the tunnel, this time not bringing with it a piercing scream, but a very real blast of wind. David held his footing, while Sarah was taken by surprise and thrown back against the cold steel tracks. They were at a station now - they could continue on the horror tunnel, or they could fucking bail now! After picking herself back up, Sarah opted for the former.

"I need some fresh air, be right back!" The red haired techie made any random excuse, climbing up onto the subway station main platform. Despite originally suggesting they stay on track, Dave too opted to GTFO before things really got bad for the three. He didn't leg it straight away, and instead offered an arm down to Levi.

"Red, don't go too far ahead!" David called over to Sarah.

"I'm not going anywhere by myself, we're in a paranormal deathtrap here!" Sarah snapped back at the one responsible for bringing them down here in the first place. Realising headed surface-ways was actually quite dangerous, she readied her modified bolt-action rifle for war.

"Ah, shit... I see where this is going, don't you? We go out there, they have more than enough reason to put us down the moment we show our faces, whether we're carrying our guns or not. It's a difficult situation..." Randy said in a hushed tone, "Let's wait and see. Maybe we'll hear something on the radio, or get called out at some point by some idiot with a loudspeaker," he suggested.

"No!" Kaori defended herself, "...At least, I don't think so. I hope not...!" She turned pale wondering what the Shogun or his wife really wanted.

"...I'm not walking you into being arrested, if that's what you're thinking." The nameless soldier chimed in.

Kaori walked closer to Yomi as they neared the Citadel, getting all flustered and nervous like last time she was in the Shogun's presence.

Kaori smiled back at what she thought was her partner's protective attitude, "Heh, I can't die before we settle who's stronger. You said so yourse-"

"The Shogun wishes to see the two of you..." A guardsman interrupted their little reunion. Typically, Kaori would agree to go because of her fangirl-esque support of the Edo government. Sighing, she gave a single nod to the soldier before shifting her gaze to Yomi. "We'll have more time to catch up later, won't we?" she frowned at him. Of course work was getting in their way already...
