Obscure RP Genres

This isn't RP's you'd like to see more of on site(since some are not obscure ideas), but what are some obscure genres, ideas, plots, fandoms, etc. you'd personally love to RP?

For me, it's Cold War anything really. I've seen plenty of Cold War era RP's, but nothing that directly dealt with the Cold War itself. It's usually Vietnam War, slice of life stories about hippies, etc. I want something that deals with the political turmoil and intrigue itself. McCarthyism, subversion within the Eastern Bloc, espionage, etc. Heck, even slice of life stuff dealing with the challenges associated with living under an authoritarian communist regime(I love dystopian fiction and this is pretty close).

Fandom-wise, I also think a RP set in the universe of The Man in the High Castle would be fun. Plenty of potential for all sorts of different types of plots there.

Character Sheets: Where do you stand?

I won't do them in 1x1's, but they're useful in group RP's so you can gauge where the character fits within the universe.

Which setting would you like to see more of in Roleplays?

I was looking for a topic like this.

I'm sad because I can't find any RP's to join that match my interest which leads me to believe it's not popular at all. What I most enjoy is things set in the real world/realistic. Not neccessarily uber real, but things with a realistic esque setting.

Crime & Law Based Roleplay's
Realistic Zombie Apocalypse stories are okay
Military roleplays
Horror movie themed roleplays

What I try to avoid the most is anime/manga based roleplays, traditional superhero/inspired by Marvel/other comic roleplays, and fantasy, therefore 98-100% of the roleplays on the website lol. I search for an active and open realistic roleplay every day, and currently can join up to 5 of them.

Oh man, I feel this so much. On another site I'm on I rarely RP since there's almost nothing I'm interested in.

Which setting would you like to see more of in Roleplays?

Historical settings. Yes, they're a thing, but it's almost always the same few constantly: Ancient Greece/Rome(really, ancient anything), Medieval court intrigue stuff, Victorian, pirates, and the wild west. Those get old pretty quickly. I just want a good Cold War political intrigue RP with espionage and such. I also wouldn't mind a WW II RP actually that isn't just the same old soldierxnurse type pairings.

Looking for Mature RPs 18+ (RWBY mood)

I haven't actually played any of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games, but I know the premise of it. Assuming that's not a dealbreaker I'm potentially interested in a RP.

A WW II military RP is also a potential option.

@AvanhelsingI've kind of been on a Cold War/Soviet Russia kick lately due to that Chernobyl show released by HBO so something involving Soviet spies could be fun. Or perhaps a Soviet and American spy. Idk. Just PM me so we can discuss!
