The morning was warm, summer in full swing as camps were starting to become more frequent. This whole month was going to be a great month for camping. The sun was shining, the wind cooled things down, the lakes were crystal clear, and the whole atmosphere of Camp Riverbank was welcoming. Wildlife was active, birds singing their songs to each other as the day was calm. Camp Riverbank had never been so serene.
Derek drove to the edge of the camp, knowing that the area that he and Theo would be was going to take a while. They'd have to walk half a mile to get there. This didn't bother Derek much...until he realized he had to take everything down to the site, come back to get more, and repeat until everything was successfully moved. "You'd think that they'd make the parking lot closer to the camp...but no. They want you to hike your ass off to start off..." Derek said to Theo, a bit annoyed by the situation. This was the first of many trips to the car he'd have to take.
After a good hour and a half of running from campsite to car over and over again, he was finally done. He had their tent laid out on the ground, ready to start their camping experience. He was a bit tired from the hauling of their belongings, sitting down for a bit to catch his breath. The camp site they were at was at the bottom of a relatively steep incline, forcing you to hike up and down to get to the parking lot. He turned to Theo, a smile on his face.
