I just think it's neater to use them for pictures. It's a good thing I decided to use them because it made me figure out how to make hiders within hiders. It was really bugging me that I couldn't get it to work at first.

Alright, so I have the sheets written out here. Just post the sheets there when you've filled them out. The first post has been edited to include this link.

If you fill out NPC sheets, please PM them to me. I just want those sheets in one post.

You're now also allowed a second main character, if you want. I've stressed in the first post that I would like one person to play a poet and now that some people have been dropped that role is still open. However, I've been rethinking where I want this RP to go and if you want your second character to be a poet, then just do it. It's no longer open to one person. Just keep in mind that this character is basically a beginner. On the other hand, if you want to be an experienced poet who is a leader in the fight against governments trying to exterminate them, say something!

Name and/or Alias(es): Ken Ikeda "The Swift Sword"

Age: 32

Sex: Male

Occupation: None. Former professional mixed martial arts fighter.

Race and Origin: Human. Was born in America and currently resides in Japan.

Appearance: Standing at six foot flat and weighing 185 pounds, Ken certainly doesn’t look like somebody the average person would mess with, at least not in hand to hand combat. Despite his size, he isn’t bulky by any means. He is built lean, which he has consciously shaped himself to be to maintain agility. Silky, short black hair lays flat on his head, with very little maintenance necessary. His face retains the youth of a man in his early twenties, with no facial hair to speak of. In addition to his lack of manly beard and mustache, he has a small nose, thin lips, soft skin and small hands, making him oddly pretty for a professional fighter, especially one that used to be a champion in his division. However, his dark brown eyes often do more talking that his mouth does, with the natural inclination to give people they look upon the declaration of a challenge or the unwillingness to surrender.

Abilities/Talents: Having trained in manipulating his own spirit energy since he was 18, Ken has become quite proficient in doubling, sometimes tripling his natural physical strength. He can also utilize his energy to increase speed. Combined with his many years of professional MMA fighting, his strength is matched by his fighting skill and his spirit energy increases with every day he puts it to the test. Since he has trained under Iraltiphos, he has learned how to detect the spiritual presence of others and where their energy is flowing, suppress his own presence and temporarily hinder the flow of energy in his opponents through targeting pressure points.

History: Although he was born in America, both his parents were Japanese. Although a poet had caused the deaths of the entire population of Japan when he was young, he grew up to be indifferent toward poets, occasionally sympathetic to the fact that they are the only magic users to be discriminated against. The discovery of magic had changed the world of professional MMA fighting forever, which captured Ken’s interested very early on. He learned to manipulate his spirit energy on his own and honed his abilities through fighting. He quickly rose to the top and became a middle weight champion at the age of 25. His stage name became “The Swift Sword” due to often using a deadly fast karate chop, a move so basic that the idea of using it in a serious fight was comical. However, every single time he landed the blow, the fight would shortly end in his favor.

At the age of 30, he moved to Japan to help rebuild and repopulate the broken country, where he found Iraltiphos, self-proclaimed “the most powerful being in the universe” (which was also stated on the advertisement), and trained under him for 2 years. Within the first year, he was challenged to an MMA fight for the championship belt, to which he declined and subsequently retired from the sport, planning to train for the rest of his life.

Age: Unknown. Appears to be in his mid-forties Deceased.

Relations: Trained Ken Ikeda for 2 years and has extensive knowledge on hand-to-hand combat and spirit energy.

Misc: Not much is known about Iraltiphos except that he has a massive ego and enjoys bragging whenever he gets the opportunity. If he’s not bragging, he’s probably talking trash. Despite calling himself “the most powerful being in the universe,” he is not very renowned, not even amongst other reputable martial artists. He had his 2 seconds of fame when he wanted to demonstrate why he thinks magic sucks and challenged the leader of the most reputable mage’s guild in the world and defeated him with his fists.

He then joined the poet's resistance under the command of Richard Dalton, since he sympathized with their right to be able to express and practice their magic freely. Insisting that his knowledge could be valuable to aspiring poets, he was made one of the instructors, assisting in having better control over their spirit energy. However, it didn't take long for the rest of the members to get a sense for Iraltiphos' disdain and condescension toward magic and people who used it, which gave them the impression that he was only there to boost his ego. "Just because I don't like it doesn't mean I think it should be outlawed, now stop whining," he'd often say, but their hatred of him continued. He was used to people hating him, so that much didn't bother him, but he felt that not one student had what it took to become anything worthwhile and that most of their fighters were unskilled and incompetent strategists. He made sure to tell Richard it was nothing personal before leaving four years ago. After that, he faded back into obscurity by moving to Japan, seeking to teach those he deems worthy.

Age:Unknown. Probably in his 30's

Relations: Used as a military weapon for the U.S, Gilgamesh is assisting the global effort to rid the world of poets.

Appearance: Long brown hair, bulky body build and most known for a white mask without holes for mouth, eyes or nose. It simply has an eye painted on it at the forehead.

Misc: Has a personal vendetta against poets, the details of which aren't known, except for the fact that his face has been mutilated. He is brutal and uses fear as his primary tactic to achieve his goals.

Relations: Head of the CIA. Is using Gilgamesh to distract the public from the aliens that have come to earth.

Name and/or Alias(es): Dr. Robert Hussly. Show biz name: Plant Doctor or Dr. Plant

Age: 37

Relations: Gel'Linnea's keeper while she is unconscious. He uses her to make people think that he is a magic user even though he is just an ordinary human.

Appearance: Average adult male height, around 6ft. Shaggy hair and unkept clothing when he is at home. When he is making an appearance he is always dressed to impress. American descent.

Misc: He has a strange obsession with Gel'Linnea, as if he is in love with her even though she has never awoken. He's been known to have fits of paranoia and has schizophrenic moments where he thinks he sees people. His public appearance is very charismatic and welcoming, even though he never talks about his personal life and little is known about him outside of work.

Age: Appears to be 50 (deceased)

Relations: Is seen by Robert when he is highly stressed or paranoid. Robert often finds himself talking to Dr. Lee as if he were really there. Dr. Lee is his voice of reason and tries to get Robert to understand that his obsession with Gel'Linnea is wrong.

Appearance: Dresses in a normal grey suit with a buttoned up white shirt under it with a lab coat on. He only stands to be 5'4 and has short well kept hair and glasses. Asian descent.

Misc: He cannot be seen by others, obviously. Pictures of him and Robert can be found in science magazines and article on their discovery of Gaia dating back 14-18 years.

Name and/or Alias(es): Carter

Age: 42 (21 in earth years)

Relations: Elysia’s close friend and team leader of her squad

Appearance: Standing at a steady six feet and a strong build, Carter has silver colored eyes and short brown hair with a cleanly shaven face at all times.

Misc: Years ago Elysia and Carter had a relationship shortly after Elysia graduated from the academy. Although their romantic relationship has fizzled away, the relationship between the two have stayed mostly intact although some tension can still be found in their relationship at times.

Relations: A former student of Elysia’s grandfather and one of the superiors of a rebel group that has brought Elysia’s home planet into a civil war and the cause of her parents death.

Appearance: Although tall and thin, Skylar still keeps an air of authority around him. He has silver eyes with blue speckles on each of his iris and has blonde hair held back in a low ponytail.

Misc: A very strong and dangerous poet that has been described as both a genius and insane. Although he doesn’t think much of Elysia, she has a huge obsession of bringing revenge against him.

Touch of Insanity said This could have been why some of the members have started an 18+ thing, in hopes to finding someone who isn't going in there for the smut. However, others quickly caught onto that and now those who put 18+ that are really looking for maturity and good stories are now being brushed off for someone looking for smut.

That's super interesting. I thought it was the other way around. Whenever I saw 18+, I thought it was suggesting that there will be mature content, which I thought suggested that there was going to be smut. The idea being that they didn't want to do smut with a minor. I really am giving them too much credit.
