Name:
Felix Belleville

Role:
Mutant/prisoner

Abilities:
Without the substance, Felix has complete mastery of his three fold ability. He is a hydrokinetic and frigiokinetic, both of which combine to give him cryokinesis.
Hydrokinesis: Felix can shape and manipulate water, inorganic compound with liquid and gas (steam, water vapour) including changing them from one state to other.
Frigiokinesis: Felix can shape and manipulate temperature, a form of kinetic energy between particles at the atomic or molecular level: the greater the movement of these particles, the greater the thermal energy and reversed. Heat itself is internal thermal energy that flows from one body of matter to another, it is not the same as the energy contained in a system—that is, the internal thermal energy of the system. Rather than being "energy-in-residence," heat is "energy-in-transit." Felix can manipulate this energy flow, but is limited between zero kelvin (−273.15 degrees Celsius) and average human body temperature (+37 degrees Celsius).
Cryokinesis: The combination of both above powers result in his ability to also create and manipulate ice in its various forms.

However while under the influence of the substance, his abilities are limited to barely reducing the temperature to chill a glass of water. He loses all hydrokinesis due to the fine control needed on particular liquid molecules that are naturally so abundant.

Personality and background:
Born to an English mother and French Canadian father Felix was a studious but popular student who had recently graduated as a secondary school teacher. During his Phd on interrelationships between ecosystem variables in the high Arctic he voluntary signed up to the mutant registration especially if he could use his powers to help humanity. Whilst studying abroad his true potential was revealed in just a natural environment for his abilities. When he found out that his parents were innocent casualties of the mutant/human war his breakdown caused a blizzard that resulted in the death of two of this colleagues who were trapped out on the ice. One of them a recent lover. Felix’s thirst for adventure quelled and he returned to the UK to complete a teacher training course and then taught geography to secondary school kids. Well he did until not long after his 25th birthday when his house was deliberately set aflame. With his housemates burning and the inferno leaving him with no abilities to defend himself Felix was quickly incapacitated by the smoke and awoke in his cell. He’s been here for (he thinks) a few months now. The only thing apart from his guilt and sorrow keeping him company is Kjolmar in the cell next door.

That damn cat. He threw an apologetic and sympathetic glance at Thonovan whilst attempting to hold back a grin. "I guess my answer is no in the chocolate front," he replied with a smile. Thonovan pinches his eyes at the cat while it left with his beloved chocolate. He tried to let it go, afraid his emotions would cause his abilities to trigger and the cat would be set on fire.

The professor walked round to his side of the desk and motioned for his student to take a seat, "please sit down Thon, you're making this place untidy" he jested whilst straightening out some papers disturbed by two unruly feet - "and next time when you want a quiet place to read, please choose someone else's chair..." Thonovan looked surprised when the professor mentioned he had seen him reading. Before the young warlock could reply Felix got straight down to business with a serious expression. "I want you to tell me, truthfully, how on this earth you had an opportunity to self heal this summer?" Felix hoped he'd foudn the right balance of concern and authority in his voice. He was still getting used to the pastoral side of his role.

With some hesitation, Thonovan decided to trust the professor enough to tell him about his experience past summer. After all, if he couldn't tell his favorite professor, who could he tell? "Well, ehm. I got in a fight, I guess. And the wounds, they..." He paused for a second. "Just tell me the truth" Felix promoted, leaning forward comfortingly. "I didn't start the fight,I swear. They were bullying this young.." He paused again and thought hard about how he was going to explain the situation. "Thon?" "Look, Professor, it doesn't matter how it happened. Can we just skip to the part where I can brag about the healing?" he asked, forcing somewhat of a smile.
Typical Thonovan. Avoiding the issue at hand with an attempt at lighthearted banter. Felix knew that this time he wasn't going to give in, especially with his students welfare at stake. "Oh no," he sighed leaning back in his chair and grabbing an enchanted pen that he placed upright on a jotting pad. "You are going to tell me everything that happened because I'm worried about you, and you know we have to report those students who could be a danger to others and the magical community if they can't control their powers" he gave a knowing look to the young man before him "or their tempers..." He glanced at the pen that had started to write down everything he'd said of its own accord.

While being known for having trouble with authority, Thonovan usually seemed to obey Professor Smoke just fine. Maybe it was because he knew that the professor had the best interest in his students. Then again, all teachers probably had. Thonovan stared in the professor's eyes and carefully picked his words. "If I hadn't interfered, they would've done it to this young boy who couldn't defend himself. I couldn't let that happen." Thonovan pinched his eyes and changed the tone of his voice to a slightly more agressive one. "But why should I tell you about this? It's not like I know anything about you. Trust comes both ways, Professor."

Felix couldn't disguise the startled expression that struck his chiseled facial features at Thonovans' words. His mind churned but quickly realised that this would be a good way to get Thonovan to talk. And it wasn't as though he had anything to hide from his student anyway. "Fine." He said with a grin, suprising his student. "A game of truth. I'll let you go first."
Witch or wolf, I'm game
Me!
Felix frowned as his friend walked away. Maybe the hand was too much too soon. He should have mirrored Kyle’s own ‘arm-round-shoulder’gesture. He’d seen the nervousness in those dreamy grey eyes and his heart sank.

The warlock fiddled with his watch distractedly. He was conflicted. He wanted to be there for Kyle as a friend but at the same time he wanted more. But Kyle hadn't accepted that himself yet and there was only so long he would wait, especially if the results were futile. He glanced over at the well-dressed figure now stroking a boy’s hair in comfort. Maybe he just wasn't Kyle’s type.

Gulping down emotion he turned away and strode briskly toward his office where he knew Thonovan would come to find him.

@YourSecretWeapon
Sorry for the tardiness, hectic couple of days at work. But I forced myself to take a break to write this up.
And if anyone can suggest a nicer colour than this lurid green, that still isn't too similar to anyone else's that would be FAB!

In-depth Information

APPEARANCE:
Standing at 6’1” with an athletic physique with his clothes on trend, Felix cuts an impressive figure. He changes his light brown hairstyle regularly, even more so now he’s mastering transfiguration. His slate bluey grey eyes sparkle with charm, matched by his polite manner. But don’t be fooled, he has a cheeky smile and a killer body under that branded garb. He normally opts for a smart casual look but can often be caught in the common room in shorts and a massive jumper.

PERSONALITY:
Mature for his age, his common sense often makes him seem stuffy to others, but he just doesn’t like to cause any trouble. Whilst well-mannered, since boarding Felix has developed a perhaps ‘too’ honest streak, often speaking his mind even when in the presence of the subject. “It’s not bitching if you say it to their face…” Yet despite this he has a large network of friends spanning across both houses and years, but lacks any real ‘best’ friends or even a special someone. He’s got his studies all organised and is pretty sure about himself academically, so maybe this year things will turn up for the books socially as well.

HISTORY:
Brought up on the outskirts of Birmingham Felix was an inquesative child, pestering everyone with questions, thirsting for knowledge. This continued as he grew older into an avid bibliophile and a nature explorer. His wizarding parents promoted his passions. His mother, a St Mungo’s official, pushed him with transfiguration and potions, whilst his father, a well-respected Niffler trainer, encouraged him outdoors cultivating a love for herbology and magical creatures.

Felix was elated at his acceptance letter and whilst throughout his first year he grew to know many students he made few close friends due to his relentless hard work at his studies. Things improved from then on. As he had used his first year as a spring board, he found his second year far less taxing than his peers and soon he was helping his friends with their studies. By third year he had blossomed socially and physically. However having not been a very social younger student he was unsure of these feelings he felt, dismissing them as being a prank hex or a stray charm, because they were surely unnatural.

He became more distant retreating into himself, reading advanced texts and losing hours in the greenhouses. After news reached his mother through a family friend that he’d turned down yet another suitable girlfriend, she staged an intervention with a buxom embrace declaring her acceptance of his sexuality before he’d even come to terms with it himself. The past two years he has embraced his identity and new body, to taste a new found self-assured confidence for the first time.

Magic

WAND:
(Laurel, 13 ¼") A natural looking wand with a dragon heartstring core. Ollivander himself says that laurel seems unable to tolerate laziness in a possessor, not an issue with hard working Felix to whom the wand has cleaved happily and has even sparked the two unfortunate pranksters who have tried to snatch it. It is a powerful wand that learns quickly, now highly specialised in transfiguration and the many practical spells needed for controlling both creatures and foliage.

BOGGART:
His parents, shadows of their former proud selves, withered in disappointment, brandishing a large failed N.E.W.T. parchment. Failure and disappointing his parents would crush him.

PATRONUS:
The Giant Hummingbird

TALENT:
Felix excels at conjuration, proving very useful at parties.

WEAKNESS:
Felix is not a strong flier despite his athleticism. He finds potions too easy “all you have to do is follow the recipe”. He therefore completes the minimum amount of work for a high N.E.W.T. taking no interest in the subject really. In lower years he was disinterested in Astronomy and History of Magic.

Other

PET:
An affectionate niffler called Kitt.

EXTRA:
Felix is very close to becoming an animagus and should become registered after graduating. He wants to travel the world writing for a publication or researching.

@Ceta de Cloyes

Damn it. I had a hot gay Hufflepuff in the pipeline too.

*Frantic rethink...*
Felix Smoke stared after the student. He registered that cheery persona but could see the anger and hurt in the boy's eyes. The healer sighed. This'll make for an interesting conversation later on... Kyle's voice brought him out of his reverie.

"I didn't mean to be harsh on him..." The apologetic tone made the regret obvious. A pang of guilt struck Felix himself as he was reminded of Kyle's innate telekinetic abilities. A stark contrast to his own specialisms they complimented one another so much that he often forget the struggle of his friend to control such immense power. "Should I apologize to him? After that we can go find Mase if you want."

Felix turned to see the glistening adorable expression on his friend's face and all his disapproval melted away. He was initially confused, he'd never seen his friend like this before. They'd known one another for around a decade and Kyle had always been the stronger, more certain of the pair. But he didn't let the concern show. He hide it well and smiled comfortingly, moving his hand down Kyle's arm to grasp his hand with both hands in reassurance. "Don't worry about it." he tried to reassure. "You know I have a good relationship with him, I'll be sure to have a word with him later." He gave the hand a squeeze as he joked: "He might even like you if he knew how powerful you were Professor." His smile stretched into a grin and he let go of Kyle's hand to dig his elbow into those toned ribs.

His eyes flicked away to a commotion at the side of the auditorium and he rolled his eyes. "No need to go looking for Mase. That blonde mess in the middle of the fuss over there is my brother..." He had long ago stopped interfering in his brother's life, but ever protective he'd keep abreast of the situation and would always be there for advice if his brother ever needed him. "So what are you up to now given they have a free day to settle in?"

His heart skipped as Kyle placed his arm around him. He'd kept his feelings hidden for around a decade, he wasn't going to start now. He only hoped Kyle hadn't advanced his mind-reading enough to manoeuvre his mind block. Instead he smiled at his friend as he joked about his sprite of a brother. He gasped in mock offence at Kyle's suggestions about a new rule "...if you don't want him getting lost on his first day."but a pang of concern and guilt rose rose as he thought about his brother having already actually messed up the first part of his first day. "About that..." he began, but his companion's attention had been captured by the red headed student in front of him for the second time already today. Thonovan.

He smiled at one of his favourite students impressed that the he'd improved his attitude and worked hard to improve a skill that he had found challenging, rather than his usual response of giving up and openly mocking the task, as he had done with his few psychic studies. Despite Thonovan's dislike of authority, Felix had won him round early in his career and Thonovan's powerful eco-ability was one of his personal achievements, impressing the older faculty staff. Kyle on the other hand disapproved of the boy entirely, the hot headed student being one of few points of contention between the two school friends. While Felix agreed with the school's zero tolerance approach to unacceptable behaviour, he sometimes found Kyle needlessly harsh on the student. Now was one of those times.

He detected the pulse of magic spark from the fellow professor and his brow furrowed. He did not approve of using magic on students when not teaching or absolutely necessary. He threw Kyle a disapproving glare placing a hand on the well dressed arm that grasped his student. A chill emitted from his touch, crystalline frost spreading from his fingers. “I am sure Mr Wavecrest won't be giving anyone a reason to test his self-healing outside of my classroom, Professor.” Pulling on Kyle's arm he looked kindly upon Thonovan again, "Although I'll be sure to cover the nuances of defending against more advanced magic, like electricity," he glanced pointedly at Professor Andrew "this term. Just to be on the safe side."
@jetipster

Is it safe to assume that Felix and Kyle are good friends since their school years?

That's what I was going with if it's ok with you.
