okay, watched the first episode of goblin slayer, not nearly as bad as what it was made out to be. Still a bit depressing but hey, saved 2 of 4 rookies, coulda been worse.

So i figured out, as much as id love the equivalent of an anime doom guy slaying goblins, i dont like seeing the lovely anime chicas catch a case of the mutilation.

There was a blood curdling laugh coming from where Bardus was slammed against a wall. The shambling man slowly and eerily stood up against the torrent of wind, but had to work to kep his footing solid. "Damn spirits! HAHAHAHAHA, I should be honored it would take such a thing to stall me, ahehehehehe, BUT! I'm a bit annoyed, I say! I... need... to SEE IT! SHOW ME YOUR BLOOD!" Bardus's body pulse a crimson glow, and with much less effort before he started forcing his way through the torrent, dashing towards Sahale rapidly. Sylph, noticing this fact, dashed to intercept, but something else happened that surprised all of them. Upon Sylph's wind, now rode a whirlwind of fire, Sylph immediately took advantage of it and directed it towards Bardus, after landing between him and Sahale. Bardus, however, was completely caught off guard by the fire, and it soon consumed him, his shrieks of pain only sounding like twisted jubilation.

Bardus had seen where the fire came from, and the spirit that had once held his focus now became secondary as this strange man still held the ability to cast magic, it was maddening, intriguing, almost insulting, and made Bardus very curious. If one could cast magic while they weren't supposed to, how did he? Maybe the answer was inside of him. He simply had to find out! Ignoring all other threats, Bardus made a mad dash towards Sev once more. The wind pushed him around and cut at him, but the heavy spears and blades of wind he dodged as if he could sense them coming, though he never took his eyes from Sev.

Sahale cursed as he saw Bardus change his focus and rushed to try to meet him beforehand, but his injuries slowed him down and my his movements sloppy due to the pain. he could feel the broken ribs shifting in his chest, but if he didn't make it, those two were as good as dead. Sahale hauled back and threw his sword, which spin into a disc of wind with Sylph's help as it blazed a path towards Bardus, literally as Sylph combined the fire with it. Bardus turned toward Sahale at this moment, "STOP TRYING TO INTERRUPT ME YOU PEST!" He ducked below the spinning blade, and knocked it with his weapon, the blade becoming slow in the air as it if were floating, much like the rocks and statue had for a time. Sahale had hoped that he would focus on the blade as he drew his katar, and poised to strike. Though Bardus was faster and more determined. With unnatural ability, Bardus sank the head of his weapon into the ground and kicked off, making him slide around Sahale in a semi circle up behind him. He then kicked of the ground, almost predicting the spinning cut Sahale made as he spun around, and from above Sahale he brought has weapon down, chopping into his back, the blade of the old farming tool bursting out the other side of his chest. Sahale immediately coughed up blood and was stunned. Upon Bardus's descent,he rolled forward in the air, his weapon held above him, awing going in a downward vertical strike to the ground to lift Sahale into the air above him, over his shoulder, and slam him into the ground in front of him, knocking him off his weapon.

"There, finally some worthy blood....," the sick man laughed. However, instead of taking his time to appreciate his kill, he had some other guests to attend to. He looked up to Sev and Maeve and pointed his bloody weapon to them. His body and clothes were singed, still on fire in some spots, and one of the eye slits in his mask was burned away just enough to see one of the mad eyes of their enemy. They were almost completely white save for a beady black pupil in the center. Before he could take a step towards them however, there was a high pitched screeching like an eagle only much much louder and full of rage. It was Sylph, and she was about to make good on her earlier promise. Blind with rage she swooped down like a blur, too fast for Bardus to react to, the impact even making him drop his weapon. She started ripping into the man with her claws, unrelenting in her fury until she heard something, a faint but incoherent sound of the struggle to breath. She looked up and saw Sahale, holding an arm up for her, and she rushed to him immediately. Bardus was dazed and nearly torn apart, but still alive, and struggling to get up like the near corpse of a man he was. Whatever hold on magic he had was dropped upon Sylph's assault

Sahale wanted her to be there with him, as he knew the blow was fatal, he was feeling cold, and wanted the person he felt closest to to be there with him. She cooed to him and tried her best to comfort him, but she knew he was slipping away as well, the only person she had ever made a pact with, soon to die in her arms. However something was strange. There was a feeling in the air that made everyone around them feel much much stronger, the power they were feeling would make everything surge with strength vs how Bardus made everything fade. Bardus was nearly back up empowered by this strange aura, but from behind him another figure seemed to emerge, grabbing him by the back of the neck and lifting him from the ground.

"Bardus!" a commanding voice boomed, strong, yet oddly calm. "You have disobeyed my orders... how should I view this betrayal...," the man commanded.

Bardus shrieked in fear, "J-Jeevak! I-I was was just trying to spread word of your arrival, as usual they tried to fend me off and-"

This man he referred to as Jeevak then slammed the man into the ground, yet calmly he replied, "My order was for you clear any remnant bandit trash. I wanted the people of this town unharmed." Jeevak then charge some mana that started to glow green and he passed it to Bardus, healing him from major wounds but leaving some of the harsh and minor wounds unhealed. "Remember this pain, and do not disobey me again. Leave my sight...," he said as Bardus quickly grabbed his weapon and scampered off. He strode towards Sylph and Sahale, to which Sylph stood over Sahale in a protective stance. Jeevak held up his hands. "Great spirit of the wind, I have no intention of harming your pact bearer, instead allow me to heal him," he told her, and in the same way he healed Bardus, he healed Sahale, though completely. Sahale, who seemed nearly lifeless just a moment ago, coughed up the remaining blood in the way of breathing before he sat up, checking his body.

"What the hell? Sylph, I didn't know you could heal!" He said in surprise.

"I can not," she simply said, not looking away from Jeevak. Shahale then turned to what she was looking at and then seemed to be stunned at the sight of the man. It couldn't have been...

"I am here peacefully. I wish to meet a few people, two grusk that are in this town. I am interested to speak with them. One I can feel is in that temple and I shall go see now, but the other...," he scanned the ones that were before them until he locked eyes with Sev, "I'm sure they will speak to me if they wish." He then turned and started walking towards the temple, finished with his interaction with this group and having resolved the problem with Bardus for them. He knew Bardus would not come back here to test his patience.

The moon was low and the sun had yet to start casting like over the far horizon. The scouting party's movements were completely veiled in darkness as they approached their target. There was a rock outcrop a ways out in front of the group, siting about a hundred yards from the wall, which had two towers sitting high above the wall, each with an archer perched inside. It would be the perfect spot to take shots at them. Dorran waved Chihiro close to him. "Two archers, in the towers, we take them out without a scene and they will be blind to us setting up outside their walls. Take that rock outcrop and make your shots, signal when ready. We can then have Hilde blow the gate and move in," he said to her with her nodding in response, he then turned to the others, a mix of his own warriors and the foreign volunteers. "We secure our people first and foremost, forma safe path for them to escape, and have a guard team stay with them. The rest of us will gut these bastards once and for all, ready? Move on Chihiro's signal, and Chihiro, wait for the infiltration team's signal to to give us ours. They will do what they can to preemptively free and secure the girls, as well as disable any extra mages or archers they may have inside. This way, they should be down to just melee fighters, which will make our extraction much easier."

Meanwhile, Bidzil followed Kistal and Allanon up the side of the cliff, carrying the rope and equipment to secure it so that they could descend into the camp from above. From here, they could see a roof that they may possible be able to land on. One of the taller structures that lined the back edge of the cavern's entrance. From the looks of it, it was a platform for archers to shoot from, small slits in the wooden building allowing archers to shoot from at a wide angle inside, but only exposing a small slot in the wall on the outside. A tactic taken from stone castles and crudely recreated in wood. In the middle of the complex were a few cages, holding the more valuable prisoners. Others were seen tied to posts or some of the columns that still stood in the ruins. It was hard to see their condition from so high, but it didn't take much imagination as a bandit started making his way to one of the lower value girls to spend some time with her, shouts of protest could be faintly heard from their position above. Bidzil's grip on his hilt tightened. He didn't often have the urge to kill someone, but these people, if any, were the first he had seen in person to deserve it. "We need to hurry," he said frantically as he started to secure the rope to the top of the cliff so they could use it. Kistal and Allanon could both feel a surge of energy as Bidzil's adrenaline started to kick in, just from simply seeing what was happening. In the darkness, one could actually see a faint glow in the white of his eyes as he finished securing the rope. He wanted badly to be able to rush in and kill the man he just saw, but he could jeopardize her life and the lives of all the other prisoners and scouting party if he exposed them. It took great restraint to keep him from doing something stupid.

Kistal may pick up a familiar scent, if his sharp eyes scanned the bandit fortress below, he could see a portly man snacking on a particularly familiar sack of sweet meats, standing watch next to one of the cave tunnels that went inside the mountain at the other end of the crescent shaped opening of the ruins. Faintly, if he concentrated, he could just start to her a low growling sound and a bark or two. There was the sound of laughter as whatever was going on inside continued. There was a short lived howl as whatever was in there called for help, cut off by a yelp of pain. There sounded to be more sounds of a struggle before something unpredictable happened. A louder barking like noise sounded out through the camp as a chill filled the air and the small cave burst into ice, a few bodies flying out and two still impaled on a few of the ice spikes that now protruded from the cave. The man outside the cave staggered back, dropping the sack and reaching for his two handed ax, trying to break through the ice. The bandits were alarmed and their focus was now on whatever happened in that cave, creating quite the nice little distraction to slip in.

Lynn was amazed at whatever spell Tyrael cast on Gossk, having him grow to enormous proportions, he would be able to easily dislodge the boat, seeing that there was surprisingly minimal damage to its tough hull. With some temporary patchwork, it should be able to set sail again. Lynn looked to the three girls. "Do any of you know how to use this thing?" she asked. One shook her head and the other expressed only a little bit of knowledge, but the third happily said that she knew enough to get them by, eager to pa them back and return home. Tyrael then turned to Lynn and the girls and asked if they had any healing abilities between the three of them. "I'll be right back, and don't worry, we will get you home safely," she said with a smile.

Lynn made her way to Tyrael. "I can help with your injuries," she said with a small bow, "My name is Lynn, Its a pleasure to meet you. Now, let me see about those wounds." She waved a hand from behind her to the front, the rune in her water jar activating and starts summoning water, which she then pulled around from behind her ans into a large floating sphere of water, large enough to engulf all but Tyrael's head. Lynn spoke the same incantation as she did befoe when healing Gossk, and the water started to illuminate with power. "Please, step inside the water," she instructed the robed figure.

"I will be happy to help clear it out, but first, we should go check on Diamond and see if that card the grime left behind worked on that storage room. Hopefully there was something interesting in there. If any of it will help, all the better," Delmina said, giving the two kids a slight bow, if they were still kids anyway. Once you turn into a revenant you seem to stop aging. She turned and started making her way back to Diamond, and upon finding her would share the news on who they ran into and the deal they made. If they didn't find any blood beads after this, Delmina was almost certain they wouldn't find any, but she didn't want to voice that opinion to the others

Dying didn't seem to be the worst fate a revenant could have. At least it would end the cycle, and Delmina couldn't think of anything worth continuing for. She would rather die than have to be a thrall for those other revenants for the rest of her days. If she had to die though, she thought about the two kids they just ran into, they were free, and if she could do anything that would help them stay that way, she could think of worse ways to spend her last few hours of life than to helping them so that they could survive easier.

Tribal party

Lynn, instead of paying attention to the fight, had made a beline to the three girls. She flew by Gossk and hopped off her staff when she approached the three girls. Now it was a bit more evident what was going on. Chains, shackles, multiple bruises and signs of various forms of abuse, but just enough that they were still presentable elsewhere, they were slaves being taken somewhere. Probably to that large inland city. Lynn only wished that it was an uncommon thing, but many a sailor try their hand at capturing seafolk. Many are unsuccessful, but....some are, and the ones they take are more often than not to never to be seen again. "Everything will be alright, you are safe now!" Lynn assured them as Gossk flew by, making contact with the ship. "Are you injured, do you need any healing?" she continued as a head rolled by. One of the girls gasped, putting a hand to her mouth. Despite her trying to help the battle behind them was quite gruesome. Lynn turned around and shrieked at the head that had seemed to settle next to her, kicking it away further towards the dunes. Lynn looked back to the girls who all seemed to only huddle closer together.

"Who are you?" one of the girls asked.

Lynn turned to her and smiled, "I'm Lynn! The big brute is Gossk. He is my friend, just met him today! Oh, But don't worry, he won't hurt you! we saw you in trouble and came to help," she tried to explain as the corpse of a man went airborne in the background. A wall off water went up between Gossk and them as Lynn sighed, luckily this should block their view of the grisly scene for now. She didn't expect Gossk to fight in such a gruesome way, but he is doing as he said he would and helping. "One moment please," Lynn said as she dove into the water wall and popped up at the top of it. It seemed to be a good thing to use the wall too, as now the dracodile had someone's head in his maw. "G-Gossk!" Lynn called out, the sight of the man's head hanging out of his jaws by his trachea summoning an uneasy nauseous feeling in the back of Lynn's throat. "Sp-uhuhhh, S-spit that out!, that is disgusting! We should bury the bodies and try to see if we can get these women back to where they belong! Is the other one friendly? If so, they can help!.... Oh... I shouldn't have looked..." Lynn had another nauseous wave and looked away before she got sick. "Uhg, nope, I shouldn't have looked...," she said before swimming through the wall back down to the other girls. "None of you mind if I just stay behind the wall for a moment while they clean up do you?" she asked, all three of them shook their head, understanding completely. "T-thanks, now, lets see to these chains and injuries," she said before she started healing their wounds as Gossk and the stranger did what they needed to.

Scout party

Everyone got their things and prepared themselves for combat. Weapons were checked, armor secured, what few had any, and small but nutritious meals were prepared to last them for their future engagement. Dorran nodded to Allanon and Kistal. "I'll stick to what I do best, make sure they have their focus on us. We will storm the front gates and secure any prisoners as fast as possible and secure a safe path to get them out. The less time they are there the less danger they will be in. However, if you are moving in under their noses, maybe you would like to free as many as possible before the strike? It would make it easier to get them out if they were already free and able to make a run for it when we push in to give them cover. Any mages and archers should be preferably neutralized first. My men are ready, we should go now, we can discuss on the way."

Bidzil checked his own blades, for the first time since he had been around the others here. He drew the actual blade from its heavy sheath, the weapons gleamed beautifully with a perfect polish. This didn't mean it never had use, however, it was the amount of care taken into the blades themselves. Their weapons would come with such a finish, and out of respect to the one's who crafted it, the mirror like finish was always kept after every engagement. This was more than a sign of respect however. The mirror-like finish on the blade also made it hard to discern in combat, reflecting its surroundings and becoming almost invisible looking while fighting. However, it had the drawback of reflecting light, letting it be seen over distances, it needed to stay sheathed until needed. The reflected light could also give away a trike, but some masters use this to their advantage, learning to use the sun's reflections as a method of distraction to land a blow from a side weapon. Bidzil now was meticulously going over its mirrored edge and finish, making sure everything was in order for both blades. When they had started to move out Bidzil would make his way over to Allanon. "I would like to join you, if you don't mind me tagging along," Bidzil asked.

Hilde saw Chihiro's transformation and smirked, "If only it were so easy," she said with a smile, commenting on how easy it was for Chihiro to change clothes. However, after they had departed, Hilde was quiet most of the time. Despite the comfort others tried to give, it was still hard for her not to think about the situation at home and the battle ahead. It was a lot to take in, and she needed time to clear her thoughts. The scout group left behind a few people to watch over supplies and then left on foot so that they wouldn't stir up a cloud of dust with their skiffs. Soon, they would see the wooden structures of the encampment built into the side of a mountain, signs of old ruins at the opening of a large cave system into the wall s of the cave.

"I have no knowledge of your ailments, boy, just take solace in the fact you won't have to see what I will do to the both of you," Bardus said as he stooped low and then launched himself at blinding speed towards both of them. Right before he reached then however, his weapon struck the ground in front of him, sending shrapnel from the ground out in all directions as chunks of earth were thrown through the air. Bardus used this strike to nimbly pole vault over their heads, and now that they seemed to be lined up perfectly, his weapon would swoop down to decapitate both of them at the same time. However, instead of the sudden embrace of death, there was a loud clanging sound of metal meeting metal.

"I LEAVE YOU TWO FOR HALF AN HOUR, AND YOU PICK A FIGHT WITH BARDUS!? WHAT THE HELL!? Get out of here, NOW!"

It was... Sahale? Bardus moved back a pace to inspect the newcomer, the winds of Sahale's travel still swirling about them, Eduard was roughly launched towards the temple to save time. "Interesting.... how are you still wielding wind in this place, I wonder....," Bardus said as he scratched the side of his basket helmet in thought. But he didn't stop for long as he lunged back into Sahale. Astonishingly, Sahale was able to block and parry Bardus's attacks, but the quakes from the impact of each of those strikes could all be felt. Sahale had already done more than any person so far against Bardus, but he was losing ground. He was on the defensive and could only just keep up, not able to make a move towards the offense. "AHAHAHAHAHA, you surprise me! Most would have been long dead! Here, have something SPECIAL!" Bardus yelled as he struck the ground, much like before but this time the rocks erupted under Sahale and tossed him into the air. However, the rocks seemed to start moving in slow motion in the air, and Bardus seemed to bounce up them rapidly to meet him.

"Shit!" Sahale cursed as he tried to evade, but the lack of footing when the ground erupted had him in midair unable to avoid. Truth was, he couldn't use his wind manipulation here either, and had to think quickly. He took a wide swing at Bardus, which he easily ducked when he reached him, standing on one of the floating rocks in the air. What he didn't expect though were three throwing knives that were hidden under the faint attack. Bardus struck two away, but the third hit him in the shoulder. Bardus ignored it,and slammed into Sahale with the back end of his weapon to the side, before he had the chance to hit the ground. Sahale felt the sensation of slowing down instantly, and now, like the boulders, he was floating in air, or rather falling in slow motion, looking at Bardus who was about to bring his weapon down and end his life. But there was an ace up Sahale's sleeve this fight, and he smirked when he saw it coming, "Hey, honey~"

Suddenly, right before his weapon made contact, once more Bardus was kept from making a final blow, as sear of wind ripped through him and knocked him to the side, slamming him into a building. A sound the mix of a bird like screech and a woman's raging scream tore through the air as a being started to materialize out of the wind. When Bardus hit the ground, the rest of the things floating in time were released, dropping Sahale to the ground as well, "Thanks gorgeous. Dramatic timing as ever, huh?" he said as he stood to his feet, a few ribs broken but still lifting his weapon to point towards Bardus across the square. For any still watching, especially for Sev if he really could see, there before them was none other than the great spirit Sylph, seen to the people of the scar as more than a spirit, and the very goddess of the winds herself. Sylph flapped her wings as she stood guard over the small group of people, mostly Sahale and who he seemed to be protecting. They weren't effected by the winds, but the winds were strong enough to toss around the bodies in the square, even Bardus was having trouble just standing. "I shall rend you unto oblivion you despicable creature!!" The spirit roared at Bardus.

I CAN APPROVE MYSELF, MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH- but yeah, I asked him if it all checked out, I've been meaning to get her cs together for a while I have just been lazy about getting it typed up and then in the character tab.

@TheWatchDog

also, are you in the discord? if not i can send you a link.

When Delmina noticed them approaching, she made sure to make a point about holstering her weapon, though holding onto her shield. She also made a point to be in between them and her irritable acquaintance, should either one start attacking, which Bridgett seemed to already be laying it on a bit thick. It was almost like one of those gang banger grunts you would see running around on some show trying to shake down a place for cash.... Hmm... that's odd. She didn't remember anything about television until now, something to think back on later. She approached the two, though one seemed to be hiding back, and gave them a small bow. "I believe what my acquaintance is trying to say is that we are not looking for a fight, but are prepared and very able to defend ourselves if need be... I am surprised to find two.. children? You don't seem to be reverent at least. My name is Delmina, we were searching for only a few bloodbeads in the area Have you happened to see any about? If we don't find any, our chances of making it to the end of the day are, well, exponentially slim to say the least. It would be a great help if you knew your way around to show as any. Maybe we can even make a deal?" she finished with a warm smile.
Name: Mi'la Vi'keema

Age: 22

Race: Twi'lek

Brief Bio:

Mi'la was born a slave, just as her mother, under the Black Sun pirates. From labor when she was a child to pleasing carnal desires of her owners when she matured, she had never known what it was like to be free. She did, however, find small sparks of kindness in the darkness of her life from one of her owners bodyguards. When Mi'la was called upon to service the leader of the Black Sun, chosen for her beauty, rare color, and hassle free submissiveness, she would meet Zilas, who was the only person after her mother's passing who ever seemed to treat her with care, or tried to lessen the pain of her slavery where he could. Every now and then even sneaking treat for her or gifts that she would hide away.

A couple years went by and during some strange raid on the ship she was servicing, there were a pair of what Mi'la could only assume at the time were jedi, little did she know that they came looking specifically for her, to release her from this life, and tap into gifts that she never knew she had. Three years pass, and Mi'la was now an official apprentice to Je'kaar, the leader of the Free Force. Neither Jedi nor Sith, but a balance in the middle, people who thought rationally about a situation instead of adhering to the strict dogma of either side of the force.

Faction: Order of the Free Force

Why has your character joined this faction?

They are the ones that freed her from her slavery and showed her the force powers hidden within her.

Personality:
Kind hearted, yet uncertain. With her newfound freedom, she is often unsure of her own choices, and lacks self confidence. Having never been able to decide anything for herself, she always seems to ask someone else if they think something is alright to do or if they might agree with her way of thinking, looking for confirmation. She has a deep hatred for the Black Sun Pirates, for obvious reasons, and a deep loyalty to the Free Force. She has found a knack for tinkering with things and finds it stress relieving, even when her projects seem to fail, unless that failure get someone else hurt, then it worries her greatly enough to not want to try making that particular thing again. While having been trained to fight, she prefers not to, but when she does, she tries to end it as fast as possible, often relying on her blaster before even reaching for her lightsaber.

Equipment:
A short polearm like lightsaber that can come apart in two parts. The emitter, switch, first leather wrapped handle followed by a basic extension as the first part serve as the main construct of the lightsaber. In this state, it only produces a single regular length blade from the center emitter. When the rest of the extension is locked in, however, more power is given to the blade, lengthening it nearly a foot (from 26 inches to 37) and activating the two side emitters. In this configuration, it acts more of a short polearm, and has a slight curve at the end of the staff addition for extra purchase and control. The side emitters allow for blade catching and disarming enemy weapons. This added length allows Mi'la to stay a bit out of reach of conventional lightsabers in a dual. Other than that, she has a basic mechanics kit that she keeps with her at all times, though anything more than that she has stored at home or i the hangar. She also carries a DC-17 heavy blaster pistol from the clone wars era that is meticulously well taken care of. It was the first thing Ja'kaar gave her when he liberated her and she made sure to take good care of it ever since.

"Last time Miiba see glow-ball, Miiba scared. Glow-ball, rats, blobies, lizard things... attack other gobs Miiba ran from. Miiba seen what do, Miiba no like," Miiba said as she looked on for a moment more before hopping down from the window sill. When she saw Geir sitting down as if to start his stories once more, Miiba got excited and rushed for her spot, her little bed beside the fireplace, and snuggled on in. She wondered about what was outside still though. Despite Lear saying not to worry, she couldn't help but feel as if something was wrong. Miiba tried to push her worries aside however, and listen to Lear tell his tales. Miiba, even though the start was rough, felt like she was safe here, and that these people, most of them anyway, actually cared. If anyone were to help her find a way out of this, it would be them. But if she was stuck in this strange world forever, maybe this wouldn't be such a bad place to be.
