(And no, I did not steal joe's idea!)

Joe's idea? Excuse you, I was the one who proposed that idea in Joe's thread. Get it right.

Also I don't care if it was stolen from said thread or not, go for it if you feel like it.

Balls, I was hoping TLB unique traits would be badass and kind of overpowered like in LoR.

I'll go with just the accuracy then. Also, that random mutation is fucking perfect for Nathaniel, I love it.
Nathaniel's upgrades are as follows.

Upgrade Synaptic Parasite
Add Charming Aura (this is cumulative with the diplomacy bonus of Too Innocent To Kill, right?)
Custom mutation - Divine Flesh: Nathaniel's body, having experienced its first real life or death combat with a gun, has adapted to improve his odds of survival. The muscles and nerves throughout his body have changed and become better than they were mere days ago, and even his brain has gotten a bit of a boost. Nathaniel's reaction time has improved greatly over that of the average human, to the point that he can start moving out of the way of an attack at almost the same instant as his opponent starts to move, and when he decides to attack without warning he is quick enough to almost always get the drop on his opponent. In addition, his hand eye coordination has improved and his hand and arms are far steadier than they used to be when holding a gun, which is a great boon to his accuracy in firing. (Bonus to reflexes and gun accuracy) (Mutation effect: The veins in Nathaniel's hands and arms now stand out very clearly and vividly through his skin, and they appear red instead of blue.)

Small town cops, more focused on being friends to the community than cracking down hard on the law. They just laughed and drove the other way. When it comes to rural north Wisconsin, most cops won't be dicks unless they have to.

I've had this kind of thing happen too, with Portland city police. They just don't give much of a fuck about the seat belt thing, from what I've seen. The only time I've ever heard of someone around here getting cited for not wearing a seat belt was after they were pulled over for speeding and then sassed the cop like a dumbass.
Others in this thread have already covered the major points, so I'll be brief. Don't make their entire life and personality revolve around the tragedy, but don't just mention "oh no tragic history!!!" and leave it at that either. Find the middle ground where real people end up after experiencing tragedy; there's a lot of room for differences between the two ends of the spectrum. Strive for realism in emotional responses, because that's what will speak to people. Just avoiding the traps of overplayed eternally brooding tragic characters or emotionally dissonant super happy on the outside to mask sadness type characters will do a lot for avoiding the cliches associated with tragic histories.

However, avoiding cliches just for the sake of avoiding them isn't always a good thing. A lot of cliches have acquired that status because they're solid story devices or because they're based in the reality of how people react to things. For instance, in direct relation to the tragedy thing, a character having a mental/emotional breakdown after experiencing a major loss is extremely cliche, but it's also extremely realistic and to maintain believability you would probably have to explain why your character did not have such a reaction. There's plenty of wiggle room in realistic depictions of emotions and reactions and such for the sake of making good fiction, but it's a good thing to keep in mind if you're trying to make solid characters that readers will appreciate and relate with.

Oh, also, originality is not in and of itself a good or bad thing, nor is unoriginality. Both assessments are comprised of comparing your work to that of other people, which is usually not a great thing to do. You should instead strive to make the best possible thing you can, regardless of what others have done. If someone else thought of it first, so be it, your writing style and the situations you put that character through should be enough to make them markedly different in the end anyway, so who cares? In the end, if you're not trying to sell whatever you're writing, the only thing that matters is if you like the character and enjoy writing them. Focus on that instead of trying to be unique and you'll be happier for it.
Welp, that's unfortunate. inb4 Dean and/or Hanus die

Kasim will go to Rheinfeld.

Oh shitI'm to much of a pussy to use slurs on RPGIs that bit replaceable?

You could try sexist and homophobic slurs instead, but you're probably too much of a pussy for that too.

Liberal use of offensive slurs is the only solid way to become worse than me on RPG, because that's something I don't do here. I save that for Skype.

Better text formatting options are already on the list of things that need to be done. Unforunately, we have no idea when exactly they might be implemented, since Mahz is off being busy and doesn't want to make site upgrades while he can't be sure of being available to fix any problems that arise from them after they're in place.

Well, we could always make a site for them? Or we could ban them all?

First off,

Jorick said There are already tons of forums out there for people who want to go write RP sex with other people, forums that exist solely for that purpose in fact, so there's really no reason to encourage it here.

Nobody here on this forum needs to go out of their way to cater to smut roleplayers on this site, a site which says such content is against the rules. The fact that they're breaking the rules doesn't mean we should give them a special rule exception zone, it means they should stop breaking the rules and take it elsewhere. They can go to Google and search for 'adult roleplaying forum' and they'll get some relevant results, and they can take their smut there where it's welcome. Making an entirely new website just for Roleplayer Guild smut roleplayers would be a waste of everyone's time. If you think there should be another site for them to do their thing on, fine, it already exists, so just direct them to one of the already existing adult RP forums.

As for banning them all, yeah, that could work, but it would require iron-fisted mod control of 1x1. They could throw up a sticky saying they're cracking down hard, and anyone who wants to roleplay smut can go to a different forum or get banned, then they could start throwing out bans at everyone who even seems to be looking for smut, like the people who post those suggestive but not quite explicit interest checks I mentioned previously. That could work to make it clear smut isn't allowed in 1x1 at all.

It won't happen though. Too much work for the mods, and that happy medium of people just keeping explicit stuff to PMs keeps the ads safe and technically keeps them from violating the site rules, so the mods don't have any incentive to do such a thing.
