OkayThe real question here isWhat is your PM topic with yourself?

I just named it 'test' because I originally did it to test a post and see if any of the formatting was broken.
Whitelist me. Game name is Jorick.
EDIT: nvm, I'll post it in the other thread.
I do the same thing. It's the worst when I send myself a PM as a reminder note or to preview a post in private, then I see the number has gone up by 1 and I go check it and then feel dumb.

I read "ABRA."Thought this was a pokemon thread.

We've gone full circle.

This thread was made because of a misreading of a thread about Abra.

Maybe Ill go work security

As someone who does work security, yeah, if you're looking for a job where you can just sit around and do nothing security is a good choice.
Mostly what everyone else said. The skill barrier between Casual and Advanced is largely an illusion, and if you're used to doing three paragraph posts regularly you're already operating above the minimum standards of the section.

The one thing I would add is that Advanced section elitism is real, albeit less prevalent than people make it sound whenever they talk about it. If you get some twat telling you you're awful because of some grammar mistakes, or because you're not writing a novella for each post, or whatever, don't let it discourage you. The minimum for an Advanced post is two paragraphs and coherent writing ability (says so right in the subforum description), and anyone who says otherwise is a deluded idiot. A GM may ask for more in their game, and that's perfectly fine, but the elitists tend to hold the foolish notion that their arbitrary personal standards are the Advanced section standards that everyone needs to adhere too or else they're awful. Those types are a tiny minority though, so you might go a long time without encountering any, but it's better to be forewarned well in advance than to be blindsided.

I'm pretty great with the exception of having no idea who you are. Where did all the old people go? Who are the new people?

You might remember him by the edgy kid name he had on the old Guild: Darkdrago666.

There are old people around, though plenty have left and a couple (Turt and Nat) were permabanned.

The new people are largely a bunch of little shits who aren't worth the time or effort it takes to interact with them.
