Ethan Blackledge
Around a day had passed now and the survivors had made it to Texas, Ethan's hatchet was covered in stale blood from the walkers he'd killed leaving the school. He hadn't even been there for an hour before the earthquake happened and then the collapse of the building, he thought he must have just been a bad luck charm. Everyone had jumped into the cars and left just a few minutes after the explosion. Ethan was in the passenger seat of a car at the back, with people he'd never seen before.
None of them talked to each other for most of the journey, just when someone was too tired to drive and they swapped. As the car pulled up, someone nudged Ethan to wake up who'd been asleep for around an hour in the passenger seat after driving for 12 hours straight. It looked like an abandoned farm as Ethan stepped out of the car and stretched, rubbing the sleep away from his eyes.
People had already moved out getting rid of the walkers in the area. Grabbing his bat, Ethan started to walk about looking for Nikki, the only person he'd really talked to. There was a girl who'd never seen before walking about and three other people who left with them, weren't with them anymore. Something must have gone down while he was asleep.
Before he could notice anything else a stray walker headed Ethan's way slowly, growling at him. He started to swing the bat through the air before finally raising it above his head. When the walker came into range Ethan brought the bat down on it's head thunderously. Bits of the walkers head flew in every direction from the impact as the lifeless body fell to the ground.
Ethan started walking again to the barn flicking the bat to get bits of the walkers brains off it. As he entered the barn the main question that came to Ethan was 'What next?' He wanted to know who the leader was to see if he could do anything to help.
