Amelia was not surprised in the slightest when the Yamask that seemed to desire her attention came forth to act as a guide. Thankfully, the Golett from earlier was also joining them as well. This was a relief, as it did seem that the Yamask was a rather needy one. She wanted to catch a Yamask but she wasn't sure this one would be a good fit for her or her team, since it didn't seem to be much a team player. She was worried that if she did catch it, that it would become jealous of the others if she didn't pay attention to it. It was a very tricky thing to consider. A pokemon could be strong, but if she and it didn't get along, that would matter very little.

As she was guided through and around the ruins, her mind moved back to her days in school and the history lessons she had been taught. She didn't really recall that much, as her late night escapades usually left her feeling sleepy, but she did remember enough to know that this was probably back from when Evig had been several smaller kingdoms that had been at constant war. She couldn't help but wonder what kind of events this ruin had witnessed.

As they walked, she made note of all the ghostly presences that seemed to pop up on her radar. It was easy to tell that most of them came from the walls, especially those with markings on them. Given that there were Galarian Yamasks here and Amelia had studied up on Ghost-type Pokemon rather extensively while she had been at home, she could take a guess that at least some, if not all, of these spots were Runerigus. She also knew that approaching to touch those spots might be rather dangerous, it not just being near the pokemon itself. Still, she could help but approach one such spot and speak to it.
"Is there a Runerigus here?" She asked, watching the wall curiously.

Amelia smiled as she ran a hand over the Golett's smooth surface. When the pokemon began poking her in the stomach, causing the young girl to begin giggling. For some reason, the action made her feel ticklish and she couldn't help but laugh as the Golett continued to poke her. Sadly, the moment didn't last as the Yamask she had been talking to earlier seemed to desire her attention more. Amelia watched as the Yamask and Golett began fighting, as she considered her options. She would like to take a Yamask and a Golett with her on her journey but personality was a big concern for her. The Yamask in front of her would likely want to be pampered and given the most attention of any pokemon in her party. It would be difficult to do so when she had others she needed to give attention to as well.

As the two continued to fight, Amelia turned her attention to the ruins once again. She could still feel energy emanating from them, which made the young girl curious and eager to explore. But she knew that going in recklessly would be. Looking around, she would speak out loud to the ghosts around her in general.
"Um... would anyone be willing to be a guide through the ruins for me?" She asked.

Amelia smiled as she noticed that the Yamask seemed to be curious about her. In fact, it seemed she had drawn the attention of several Yamask and Golets. Taking a seat on the ground, she let them come close and gather around her. She felt much more comfortable this way, surrounded by ghostly companions, even if it was in the middle of a dangerous area. But these things were not just pokemon to her but also possible friends. She would be more than happy to take one of them along.
"So, how're you all doing?" She asked them, as if they were old friends and even humans, reaching out to touch a Golet out of curiousity. Was it actually solid like the stone it appeared to be?

Making her way over to Route 4, as the only other option took her closer to home than she would be comfortable with, Amelia was greeted by the wonderous sights of the rather calming Route. The sounds of the rivers running through it helped alleviate any feeling of nervousness she might have and also helped temper her excitement over the monstrous amount of ghostly energy she was feeling. There was always something about the sound of running water that helped her keep calm and focus.

Slowing down a bit, partially because of the rougher terrain, she managed to spot a Geodude moving around before accidently stepping on one. After scanning the Pokemon with her pokedex and learning of the dangers of stepping on them, she moved even slower, making sure not to bother any of the resting rocks. When it came to the Pokemon that called the rivers their home, she took a moment to admire them with Mimikyu and Phantump. If any approached her out of curiosity and were friendly enough, she would be more than happy to give them a gentle pat on the head, save the Woopers since they were covered in a poisonous film.

When she finally reached the ruins, she couldn't help but stop at the sight of not one but two new Ghost-types. She stopped and watched the Goletts at work before a Yamask popped out of one of the blocks and floated over. Amelia gave the Spirit Pokemon a smile and held out a hand.
"Hello there. It's a pleasure to meet you." She said to it, having a calming and friendly aura around her.

Amelia smiled as Mimikyu quickly got into the pokeball and was easily caught. She was happy she was able to capture the Pokemon without having to battle. She really did prefer to avoid that if at all possible. She quickly let Mimikyu out of the ball before scooping it up into her arms.
"Welcome to the team Mimikyu." She said before she felt something she had never felt before. It was as if an explosion of energy hit her, and with no small amount of force either. The way it felt caused her to lose her balance for a second, which in turn caused Mimikyu and Phantump to look at her and let out cries of concern. Amelia quickly recovered and quickly left the pokemon center, looking around. She could still sense the spectral energy and the direction it was coming from, given how powerful it was. It was likely something very powerful, something she wasn't prepared for. But her curiosity was stronger, and she wanted to see what it was.

She wanted to rush off towards the energy, but she knew that something that could release that much was likely much stronger than she was. She still wanted to see what it was though, despite the high possibility of her being unable to catch it. Before she left town though, she would buy five Potions from the closest Pokemart, using her newly acquired cash. Once she had those, she would be on her way, out of town and towards the energy, Mimikyu in her arms and Phantump floating over her right shoulder.

Amelia watched as the mother, son, and Chewy gave their thanks, some more reluctantly than others but for understandable reasons, before the family left the pokemon center. When Mimikyu turned to face her, she caught the note of possible worry in its tone. Smiling down at it, she reached into her bag before pulling out a pokeball and pressing the button in the center, enlargening it in her hand. She then presented it to Mimikyu.
"I'm more than happy to have you come along. But I ultimately leave that up to you. If you want to come along, come on in. After all, it would be bad if someone decided to try and take you away from me because you didn't have a pokeball." She said gently. She guessed Mimikyu would jump on in but she wanted to be sure the pokemon was certain of its decision.

Amelia sat in the lobby, humming to herself as she had Mimikyu in her lap, trying to calm the little guy down, gently stroking where she knew the real body was. As she waited, she glanced over at the crying child, feeling bad for the boy. She wished she could help but the city was big, and it would be impossible for her to find a single pokemon. It still hurt, but she knew reality and could only hope the pokemon found its way back home.

When the Ratata was brought back out, Amelia got up and moved over to the little rat-pokemon so Mimikyu could say good-bye. To her surprise though, the little mouse ran off and over to the crying child, who seemed to immediately recognize it as 'Chewy'. Realizing what this meant, Amelia moved over to them and was soon noticed by the other. When asked if she had found the missing Ratata, Amelia quickly shook her head before kneeling down and gently moving Mimikyu in front, keeping a gentle hand on it's back.
"Mimikyu here was the one that found it. I only found Chewy by following Mimikyu." She said. "Mimikyu was stealing food for Chewy and trying to protect it, since it was injured."

Turning to the child, she gave him a smile.
"If you want to say thank you to Mimikyu, move slowly and be gentle. They're on edge and don't really trust humans. I know it looks a little creepy but I think it only has the best intentions in mind." She said, ready to attack to protect either Mimikyu or the child as needed.

@hatakekuro

Amelia watched and braced herself for the possibility of an attack. Thankfully though, the Ratatta seemed to interfere and calm the Mimikyu down. She watched as the Mimikyu moved aside and seemed to be utterly defeated. She knew what she needed to do so she moved over to the box and kneeled down. However, first she reached out and pat Mimikyu on its head. If it swiped at her hand, she would take the blow but wouldn't stop.
"I know you're upset. But I'm not going to leave you all alone. I want to take you with me. We can be friends. But first, we need to take care of Ratatta. And you deserve to be there as well." She said. She would then attempt to lift Mimikyu up and into the box next to the injured rat pokemon. Once Mimikyu was in the box, she would lift the box up and take both of them to the closest pokemon center.

Amelia remained still and silent, watching the Mimikyu as it seemed to debate what to do. While it did so, Amelia went over what she knew about Mimikyu's, which was a fair amount. When the Pokemon turned hostile again, she didn't move and flinch. She could tell it was protecting it's friend but she had to wonder what else was going on. Given what she knew of Mimikyu's though, it was likely that it was scared of being alone. She knew Mimikyu had a hard time finding others to be with, due to their creepy nature. Hence why they dressed up like Pikachu. Given that, she figured she would see if that was the actual problem.
"Are you scared of being alone after Ratata is all better? Well, if Ratata leaves you, why not come with me? I love Ghost-Types like you. I'm sure we could be good friends. What about it? Does that sound good?" She said, her tone still calm despite the looming threat.

@hatakekuro

"It's okay. Everything's okay." Amelia said gently, raising her hands to show she wasn't hiding anything while Phantump glanced around its trainer out of curiosity. Amelia understood why the Mimikyu was on the defensive and she knew she was going to need to stay calm and collected to get the Pokemon's trust. Panicking or getting upset would only make things worse and make the pokemon more hostile. "I'm here to help. Ratata needs medical attention. I'm willing to take it somewhere were it'll get some. You can come with if you want."
