Sterling / Jotunn Draugr (part 2)
"Ah shit, you're right." Cullen groaned, lifting one hand up to rub his eyes. "The French one. McGilbrie's got a table waiting and everything. Desmond, you're driving. Keiran, spash some water on that fuckin' mug of yours, and wear your good jacket."
Cullen smirked, just to make sure his brother knew he was talking in jest. He headed over to the front door, grabbed his coat from the rack, and began slipping it on.
"Oh, and drinks are on me tonight, boys. I promise you, this is an opportunity in disguise. An opportunity to show the greaseballs why you don't cross a fightin' Irishman. Within a week, they'll be out of our hair for good."
Fallon was torn between excitement and dread. Glad they were going but uncertain what precisely her brothers would allow on this evening out.
Still she wasn't about to back out and sauntered down the hall to say goodbye to her mother.
Back in a flash, Fallon was pulling her own coat on and watching as Keiran and Desmond murmured confidentially to each other, shrugging on their own outer wear.
"You have to promise to be fun!" Fallon reminded them, her lower lip pouting out in a sultry manner. Desmond rolled his eyes but smirked. Keiran just sighed as if the prospect of being fun was overwhelming.
"Sister! I'm more fun than you could possibly imagine." Desmond promised, coming to snake his arm about her shoulders, pulling her in for an agressive hug.
Wrinkling her nose Fallon shoved Desmond away. "You're ruining my hair!" She complained loudly, patting it to ensure all was right with her flaming locks.
Desmond smirked and made like he was going to grab her again, being the closest in age Desmond and Fallon had wrestled and bickered the most out of the Cassidy brothers and sister.
"Knock it off Desmond." Keiran demanded, tossing the keys to the new Cadillac Suburban to Cullen with a long knowing look. Desmond could be more trouble than he was worth at times.
With a squeal of delight Fallon was out the door and hustling to the car before her brothers could remind her to bring an extra shawl to cover up with. "Hurry up!" She called. "I don't want to miss the music!"
Cullen shambled behind her, unlocking and opening the back door, for his little sister to hop inside. Sliding in next to her, he tossed the keys to his younger brother, as he made his way around to the driver's seat. Fallon rode shotgun, and a moment later they were on their way. It was late enough in the day that the roads were relatively empty. The flasy rectangle of a vehical bounced and rumbled along, before grinding to a halt along the side of the street, within walking distance of Club Sodeux.
The siblings slid out of their shiny vehicle, onto the cold evening street, and made their way down the sidewalk. Keiran took the lead, with Desmond and Fallon in the middle, and Cullen slogging along at the back.
Delighted didn't even start to cover it. Fallon was exstatic, speaking at an almost constant speed as they entered the club.
The Boys almost never took her out, and so while she went dancing on her own from time to time, this was a real treat. Club Sodeux was exotic and chique in a way nothing in Fallon's life could mirror.
The moment they were settled at their table Fallon's shawl was put aside, (Keiran and Desmond had similar expressions of disipleasure at this fact) and the red head turned to Cullen. "Do you think they have fancy drinks???" she wanted to know eagerly, bright blue eyes darting to the stage where surely the musicians would be coming out any moment now.
"Darlin', this is a French place. I'd be surprised if they had anything normal at all." Cullen scoffed, as he waved at the prettiest waitress he could see. A ravishing dark-haired thing sauntered over to the table in her club uniform.
"Welcome to Club Sodeux", she exclaimed warmly.
"Well thank you dear. My brother's and I would like a round of beer to start out. A stout, if you've got one. As for my sister, she'd like something fancy. You got a favourite cocktail, darlin'?" he asked the waitress with a smile.
"I can think of something." she responded slyly.
"Well I'd like two'a them. One for my sister. And one for yourself."
The waitress gave a shy smile, and scurried away. Cullen gave a wink to his older brother.
"Should be a fun night, eh Keiran?"
