Awesome. When are you available for a showdown battle?
@Balthazar007 okay great! I'd like to do a showdown battle on quiet road! I'll post and have Indy come across a trainer.

@TheForgottenArc I can time skip fo kanto after!
@Balthazar007 I a few more questions...
I know we can do one trainer battle a day to get money and we can do that ourselves but it also has to be a showdown battle right? Like how is that gonna work? Can I pitch a trainer and their Pokemon and levels to you?

I am concerned about grinding and having to write numerous posts for single jobs as well. So could give you also give us examples of more high paying "jobs" trainers can do to get more pokedollars?

I'm not trying to farm or anything but I'm just trying to understand.
Cool thanks balth! Really appreciate it and the effort you have put in
@TheForgottenArc I think I'm okay with that but I had a few questions first! @Balthazar007 are we allowed to find known/common items while timeskipping? For example you mentioned Cheri berries were common on some parts of quiet road. Would it be a stretch to say indigo found some?

Also, not gonna lie, I'm kind of curious to see the new pokemon we can access on the old routes. I know you're eager to time skip forgotten arc, but I wanted to also see if there were any new Pokemon... I apologize I hope I'm not being difficult xD

Balth is there any chance you could tell us which new Pokemon we have access to on the old routes?
@iKatamalicious you don't lose any money!
Though Dan had fibbed some, Margo didn't seem to offended and had taken the comments in stride. She held her head high even though she had lost and was gracious through and through. Indigo took a moment to reflect on himself.

If it had been him, he wouldn't have minded the lie. In fact, he might have even found it helpful and would have tried to spin the story in favour of the not so valid truth.

What did that say about him, he wondered. And with a sharp and uncomfortable realization, it dawned on him that perhaps Margo's philosophy and take on losing a battle may have been better than his.

It was painful to admit. And it was even more difficult that he wanted to ask Margo more, but she would have brushed him off, it seemed. He bristled. Why did she have to be so damned difficult? He had learned his lesson and he still felt awful about the day before! Why oh why didn't she believe he had learned his lesson?

Regardless, there was much to contemplate. He got up silently, still sleepy, but his mind churning. Well there was a full day's walk ahead of them. There was plenty of time to think.
Indy raised his eyebrows, skeptical of what Dan was telling him. Not that he thought Dan was lying, but then why was Margo so quiet? Surely, a spunky girl like her would have been invigorated by the close battle? And her Squirtle, being carried in her arms, looked quite scratched up. Had it really been that close? "She almost beat you? That's surprising. Her pokemon haven't had as much training and they're not evolved..."

Then again, it's not like I know her super well. Losing sucks, I know that better than anyone else. I get it, I get how she feels... She shouldn't feel bad though. She just hasn't had as much practice yet. What else would she expect? He's got an evolved pokemon and she doesn't. She was pretty much slated to lose. And she still gave it a shot. That's better than me. It's better than a lot of people. She's brave...
Truly, Margo was. And as Dan kept asking Margo questions, it became evident that the battle had clearly not been so close. Why else with all the incessant questions and asking her if he'd been to hard on her? Alright, I dunno if I actually believe Dan...

Still, Indy said nothing. He hadn't seen the battle and he didn't want to interject based on anything but what he was sure of. It wasn't clear whether Margo really needed to be comforted, let alone by him. Though plain that Dan was trying to console her, Indigo figured he'd listen to the conversation between them first, before jumping in with any thoughts of his own. The issue was between them, after all.

C'mon Margo... You're annoying but you're brave. You gotta know that, at least.
Yup and just to be clear, the first paragraph of my post is before dan and margo battle but the second part is when they walk back in to the center to wake indy up lol just wanted to make sure that was evident
Indy, however, did not get up at Dan's insistence. Though it was a battle, it didn't seem like a very serious one. Had it been a gym leader or perhaps a much more significant rival challenging Dan, Indy may have dragged himself from the comfort of his folded arms. As it was, the battle could hardly be considered momentous. Nor did it seem like it would be a close fight either. Margo was even more of a newbie than they were, it seemed.

"You'll be okay," Indy mumbled, before dozing off.

His eyes opened blearily when his attention was drawn by Dan and Margo coming into the center once more. "Didja guys have fun..."
