Personality: Allison (preferring "Allie", or "Tex" from her family and close friends) tends to be the quiet type, keeping to herself. She has a love of music, video games, movies, and anime and manga, and is something of a nerd. Despite this she is quite fit. While usually polite and mild-mannered, push her buttons enough, and she WILL snap. Her angry outbursts usually involve copious amounts of foul language, and possibly physical violence. If push comes to shove she is not above shifting into her animal form (it was only in 2012 that her form was recognized as an actual species of dinosaur) and trying to maul or crush her opponent.
Family history: Allie comes from a family that's moved around a lot growing up. Being shifters, it tends to happen. So she's always been something of a loner, and finds it hard to make friends. She does have something of a temper, and when she loses it, she has a bad habit of shapeshifting (which contributed to having to move a lot).

Will work on a backstory when I can think of one.

And what determines what a shifter can turn into? Genetics, an idea getting locked at a certain age, or just completely random?

Perhaps it's my dense skull, but when it comes to shifters, are they restricted to one species of animal, or one type of animal (as in, just a lion, or any kind of cat)?
