Attack roll (Miles): 6+8 = 14
Dodge roll (Wolf): 12+3 = 15

Numbers are numbers.
"My... my name's Vermont. Let's just pretend that never happened." I was still shaking, almost jiggling for a slime. I picked up my bag off the tiles of the plaza, inspecting it to ensure it wasn't even more worn than it already was. "So... Palythus, if I can say it correctly. You know where you're heading next after this? I mean, thanks for saving me, no doubt." I shifted uncomfortably, my bag on my back while I started to slide my hand back and forth on my neck. I was pretty worried about hanging out where someone had just died, so I began to make moves away from the park. "It's just, well, I believe fate binds things together. We've just killed someone... so, I was wondering whether or not you'd be following me from here-on-out." I said, further away than usual while also keeping an eye out for anything. So far so good, being the time of day where people are working. I really hopped that guy wouldn't end up haunting me later. I was still pretty bewildered and almost angry for allowing myself to kill without impunity. Regardless, I still had one thing in mind, which was to find my uncle's old home. Maybe this could stop the KOB from trying to hunt me, I don't know. I started to walk off in the general directions of the stores, eventually waiting for the other guy to follow since I assume he wouldn't want to stick by some homicide scene.
Before the Barboach (who was eyeing me as I squared off against him) was able to land an attack on me, Spruce was able to interrupt the Barboach by taking one of his attacks... rather brutally, unfortunately. He became a damned statue, frozen intact while the Barboach began examining him like a lover or something. "Feeling somewhat disgusted, I-" wait, was I talking as I narrated? Just thinking about that forest made me realise how insane that place was, and here I am slowly dying from that giant bastard Arceus.

"-cast a fricken' storm of damn lightnin'!" What did I do? For one, I started to slur my speech and continued being a little more edgy than usual. For two, I ended up missing the Barboach, instead hitting a tree behind the thing. However, If I recalled correctly, it was possible to make a tree explode... so, being a little more disturbed than usual, I ended up letting a current run through all the splits and branches of the tree. It was only seconds until the tree began to expand before literally just popping in half, tearing itself apart as a violent explosion of air force a large branch onto the helpless Barboach, and the other part of the tree flying into an empty patch of snow for all I cared. "I'm feelin' lucky, don't I?" I said, unaware of what I did earlier while we began to clean up our business around here. "Okay... can we go now?" I asked, weaker than usual from having spent all my energy on making a tree explode. Splinters and the odd smell of burning sap filled the air, while the snow storm only seemed to get worse.
May have to edit in an attack since my initiative roll places me at second, so...
The princess decided to be quiet for the time being, considering we'd just suffered quite a nasty defeat against a ninja so keen to get away. One by one we started to shift back to normal, with Robert going from some tiny iguana back into a Kobold. Backstabs didn't seem to recover as quickly though, and oddly enough I didn't. I just kept walking on all fours with the rest of the party, but I couldn't help feeling that transformation bomb may have worked too well. I mean, it left a bit of ringing from how violently the smoke appeared from one little ball, and I could feel a bunch of things in my mouth that probably shouldn't be there.

Shortly before we met some wild wolves however, I ended up getting back into my normal form, albeit painfully. This was very odd considering that no one else seemed to struggle with their own returns, but me... well, I felt like I wasn't actually becoming a Kobold. Shockingly, I was correct. I stayed behind so that I could actually try to think straight, leaning against the dark and cold walls of the cave, but I could feel something like sticks shredding the back of my head. I started to feel weaker and weaker, while also having extra understanding of... things. My whole freakin' body didn't feel like it belonged to me, more foreign than being a damn Kobold, or whatever I was shifting into at this point. To my horror, I went from a gryphon to a... Drake.

Let me tell you some history: it was a Drake that got my family into gambling. It was a Drake that began collaborating with humans and ensured we didn't just wipe them out with dragons. And it was a Drake that started a war with Kobold a long time ago. Now, I had shifted into something that would probably earn me a target, even if my own dislike of them was expressed. I retained my clothes, weapons (including an old sword from a guard), and other equipment. I felt taller but weaker, and my breathing shallow. I wondered how my party members would react to me, all fussy and proclaiming myself to be Miles as some sort of freak show. I REALLY want to stick a knife in that ninja now for doing this to me. I mean, this world is so damn dangerous that my adventure involves me turning into a Kobold. I really wished for this to be temporary, but the as each minute passed, I knew this wouldn't be the case.

I heard loud struggles and the sounds of a growling canine further on in the cave, echoing from where my team-mates entered. Either we were fighting again, or someone wasn't exactly their normal self. I supported myself away from the wall of the cave, trying to breathe normally while also walking one step at a time, as if I was a toddler again. I really did not feel alright, but of course I had a bunch of team members who needed me further down the cave, feeling the tips of my new horns running from side of my head, as well as my new draconian mouth while I kept walking down the path to my party.

Drake: Drakes are descendents of dragons, even more so than their cousins the Kobold. They are best described as anthromorphic dragons, with digitigrade feet and scales which bind together to make somewhat rough skin. They come in a variety of colours, though this depends on the family line they descend from and the region they come from (for example, a red drake may come from a magma region, but a drake may be red in a grass region if the family line is genetically red). Compared to other races such as the Kobold, Drakes are natural intellectuals with mysteriously strong magical powers, though this results in poor health and frail structure for most Drake.

They have rather peaceful relations with both dragons and humans, being middlemen and ambassadors for either race during discussions. In both respective kingdoms, they are known to be mages, apprentices, royal enchanters and even scholars. Normal jobs in their typical regions are not nearly as good, but still provide an ample amount of oppurtunity for Drake in terms of experience. They usually hire strong workers from other races to do construction and other jobs requiring strength, due to their feeble nature. Despite this, Drake are known to be manipulative and devious, resulting in often slave-like conditions for these workers if they are not smart enough. Then again, uprisings are not uncommon with the work of sympathisers.

They are known to be human-aligned and have strained relations with their cousins, the Kobold, which they refer to affectionally as the "Bold." They once had a small skirmish which blew out to near-total war with the Kobold, and because of their frail nature they requested assistance from other races. The dragons initially declined due to having to interfere in a battle between both descendents (the Kobold and Drakes), but the humans stepped and began supporting the Drakes in battle, resulting in mutual cooperation between the two races.

Every year, Drakes celebrate their ancestary with dragons by flying kites in the shape of dragons, as well as reciting geneolagy records from their original descendent to present. Usually this is shortened to half-initials to save time and increase productivity, something Drakes have done as a result of more logical thinking.

Drakes make great (theoratical) engineers, scholars and other jobs requiring intelligence. Any other roles (such as those requiring strength) are usually shunned due to their lacking abilities in physical strength, though that does not mean all are unable to become magic-wielding paladins or aggressive mages.

Racial ability: [Element] Breath: Deals level-based and INT-based damage to enemies up to 30 feet away... this skill costs 2MP, but the user doesn't have to see their target to use it. (its element is decided upon character creation, and you should replace [Element] with whatever element you chose, also erase everything between the ( ) when you make your app. Read the level-based damage notes, and add that damage somewhere in the skill description.)

"Well..." I didn't too much, in all honesty. Killing didn't seem so bad as originally though, but only because I had actually done it. I figured it was like flying for the first time: it's scary at first, but then it becomes rather trivial. Despite this, I could definitely tell the stranger beside me had similar feelings. "..." I continued staring at the corpse, glad no one else came to this park while we remained still. We were clearly overlooking a corpse and the land below, covered with a thin strip of white clouds.

I honestly still couldn't believe I killed someone. My skin was either a palish black from being burnt or really my emotions coming through. "Just help me carry this man's corpse over the edge." I said, with haste as I started I pick at the grpyhon's arm before fully grabbing it. I overestimated my physical strength and ended up stretching my arm and leaving a trail of wet goo around me, splattering almost. "Bugger."

I started rubbing my head as I got my arm back into place, but I could tell by the dragon's reactions that he wasn't impressed. "Look, mate." I began to reason with myself and the stranger, clearing my throat and still shivering from the experience. "Chances are, he would've reported back to the Knights of Balance if he was knocked out, then we'd be swarmed by all sorts of mercenaries, wizards and knights." I explained, trying to make light of an incredibly bad situation. "I didn't want to do it, but... well, mind goes blank, stress invokes fight or flight, and in all honesty it means the next Knight of Balance marauder won't even recognise us." Some logic calmed me down, but I wasn't so sure about the stranger. "At least two people didn't die today. What's your name, first of all?"
As it turns out, fighting wasn't the best idea. Especially as those previous attacks were meant to be jokes, but that's beside the point now. The ninja dodged everyone else's attacks, but made the occasional trip from having to keep a katana (which somehow weighed him down) as well as suffering a bad arm wound, meaning he wouldn't be able to throw as well as he would normally do. Nonetheless, he still ended up knocking everyone down one by one, apparently having too big of a heart to kill us simply. This was made even more odd by the fact he was a damn human, but at least it meant we'd get another day to fight.

Even if he did try to kill us, we had a secret weapon: the princess. And she was a secret shield. So, what happened was that she literally disappeared for the first minute or so of the fight, then comes out of the depths of the caves covered with cobwebs and complaining about the spiders in the cave. Even more worringly, she actually actively defended me against the ninja's attack, bearing the full brunt without so much as a flinch. The princess stepped in after yelling about how gryphons were majestic bests and swatted the ninja's weapon away, letting the confused ninja continue to pummel her while also breaking his wrists. Well, he was shaking them shortly afterwards, and after noticing that he'd already dealt enough damage to everyone else, he proceeded to start running and... I'd say swipe, but if anything he was dragging the stupid katana out of the cave again. I assume he had a cart or something, because no sane person would attempt to drag it all the way to their house or something.

"Squawk?" That was literally my natural instinct. Apparently the princess wasn't aware that we were what was left of the party. I just kinda stood there as the ninja stupidly dragged his katana up the stairs, with everyone staring at him and the ninja evidently puffing, looking back at us several times before finally leaving the cave. Even the princess gave bad looks, while the rest of us were unsure wasn't going to finish us off again. After about a full minute, it was just the party in odd forms and the princess. "Okay, that's finally over. Anyone sapient enough to talk?" I startled the princess, but I didn't really care as I started to crawl towards everyone else. Yep, dead. Well, I think they're dead anyway. This world is VERY hostile, I'll remind you again.
