On another unrelated note.

I HOPE to get this rolling this weekend. No promises, but if your sheet is still awaiting approval (except you Nex, I know it is and will do final checks on it tomorrow morning), please PM me the permalink.

This is not taking bureaucracy into account, am I right? Office job promotions tend not to have war as a prerequisite.

Bureaucracy don't count as true leaders and commanders. The "buyable" leaders and commanders without magical talent are buyable because they're something of a badass, and no matter how cursive the script, no matter how flowery, no matter how many gregorians shed a tear over the beauty of your accounts books and journals, pen-pushing still isn't badass.
Iarumas said Plus, you said that commanders that are killed can be replaced but with lesser skilled ones, does that mean the point cap remain the same. Say if I lost a Celestine Hero of the Realm I can replace them with 2 Lords/Commanders?

Not soon. Only during a growth period. Though it is also possible for an officer to 'randomly' rise from the ranks. (Purely battle related, during peace-time there is no chance for lesser men to shine.)

If I want to make use of my Greek Fire, I do not need the War Engines trait right? It's usable on jsut basic siege equipment? Also, if we want to deploy siege engines on the battlefield and not necessarily on an actual siege can we without the War Engines trait?

You don't need the War Engines trait no for Greek Fire, though you need to use something like Trebuchets instead of a standard tension based catapult, mangonel or ballista. (Shattering pots etc)

And Gat's got the right of it, War Engines are basically primitive tanks. Like those that Leonardo Da'Vinci conceptualised (except with no cannon, instead Ballista or Catapults etc.)

Light ones would be similar to da-vinci's designs. Heavy would be like Warhammer Fantasy's Steam Tanks.

Who seriously wants to eat soy products these days though, it's a rare exception that doesn't taste like arse.

Soy is a great product for weight loss.

Add enough of it and your enthusiasm for eating drops measurably.

good point.A few more questions for Kad:
How would we grow our militaries beyond what we have now?
How would the re-enforcing of regiments or replacement of dead ones work?
When we lose a commander can we replace them?

All of these can be answered with one answer.

After a set period of IC time a nation undergoes a growth stage, basically, I give people some points to claim territories adjacent to themselves. Then they get some points for raising new regiments, some of these points can go to replacing destroyed or damaged regiments. The same goes for commanders, but! Commanders won't be able to bought straight off of the bank. They have to start at the lowest rank and rise through it over time.

I take it those also goes for the others (and Library)?

I know it does for me, I'm waiting for Brovo to post his updates, then I will.

This actually raises a question for me. What are we actually going to post in the IC? If a large part of the game is restrained visibility, I don't want to be giving anything I'm doing away to the other players.

The restrained visibility is really more just for exploration, don't feel too restrained in how you write up IC fearing giving stuff away. But stuff like spies, if you want, PM me the details.

Really? Ive added the totals together in google calculator and come up with 292Also I think Kad told me that peasants reduce the cost of the unit as a whole by 50%

Actually, Peasants are technically only able to be peasants, not Flagellants on top of it. Another missing omission sorry.

Will there be a way to just spectate this RP? This RP sounded quite intriguing, but I did not discover it until after Kadaeux closed applications. I understand if the answer is no because of the restrained visibility for each player. I just want to see how this RP works so that when there is another RP like this, I will know if I would want to join or not.

You can certainly watch the IC when it commences, but the map itself that'd be too much of a pain in the arse.
