He jumps down from the pole to the ground. As Reimu had said before, Doremy was surrounded by him and Rayla.


Jerry: Barbaric as always...just so you know, this isn't your run of the mill street fight.

Rayla: Maybe you've forgotten who are you talking too.


Suddenly, both she and Kalina elevated their magic auras, both similar in color. Jerald took a step back out of surprise from the shockwave the auras produced.


Kalina: I'm hoping that you can keep up with us, Guild Boy.

Jerry: Don't worry, I'm more than capable of keeping up with Ancestor Mages.

Rayla: Wait, You're fighting too Miss Kalina?

Kalina: Since I'm already here, might as well do it. I'm not really the type to see someone get hurt and do nothing about it.

Rayla: That's fine by me. Fighting together with a Veteran Ancestor Mage is pretty much a blessing.

Kalina: It's been a while since I've been in a fight, but I think I can manage.

Rayla: Alright...so...

Rayla takes another look at Reimu, mistaking her for a member of the Seimei Family.


Rayla: Ah, you over there, keep that seal strong. Just a reminder that if the opponent is magically strong enough they can break it after a while. We'll promise to finish this as quick as possible.

Jerry: I'll adapt to any attack plan you have Rayla. You can trust my reflexes to do so.

Rayla: Got it. Now let's begin.

Rayla cracked her knuckles, looking directly at Doremy. Kalina took a stance used at track fields, while Jerry held his short spear with two hands and kept his senses at high alert. Then, they all started running at the same time. Jerry used his Psychic Aura to shot himself foward, Rayla and Kalina had years of harsh physical trainning and also used enhancement magic to further increase their speed, going faster than Jerry could hope to achieve. Due to their different paces, Kalina would be the first one to reach her opponent since thunder magic gave the user more spee. She went for a leg sweep to throw Doremy off balance if succesful. Rayla would go for a strong punch that would easily send someone of Doremy's stature flying with the sheer force of the attack if it connected. Jerry would use the blunt end of the spear enveloped with his psychic aura to hit Doremy in case his battle partners hit their mark.

Rayla: ...Understood.

Tiane: Ok, even I heard that explosion through the phone.

Kalina: Been a while since I've felt this level of intensity...Are there two Ancestor Mages fighting?

Kalina parked the car in a forbidden zone, then both her and Rayla left the car.


Kalina: Here's the money to pay for the ticket. See ya.

Tiane: But...

Kalina picked Rayla up, then both their bodies were enveloped in an electric aura. The next second, Kalina was running at blinding speeds. Tiane soon lost sight of them.

Jerry: Seems like I won't be getting a break from yesterday, HA!!!

With spear in hand and many Warp Weapon Portals ready, he used his Psychic Aura to increase his jump height, going over the buildings in order to get to the fight faster.

Rayla: Hm?

Tiane: Who is it?

Rayla: It's Auror...Seems like we're a bit late.

Kalina: I did what I could.

Rayla: This is mostly my fault so no need to feel bad.

She answers the phone.

Darius jumps to the top of the truck, while the Glaive Soldiers who were still concious entered the vehicle. Himika sat on the ground in relief.

Then, the truck left the place. Himika let herself fall on the ground, letting the pain take in.


Himika: ...On the bright side...the time I'll take to recover will compensate for staying up late to patrol the mansion.

Makis: Sometimes, the end justify the means. If we want to make sure that a war doesn't break out, we have to control the Psychic Users. It's a sad truth, but I've come to accept it long ago when I first joined DUST.

Veria: Heh...So I guess in the end, both sides aren't that different.

Makis: Maybe...But at least we didn't target people who we didn't had any proof that they were psychics. That's just not how it works.

Veria: Say what you want, but you're still resorting to slavery anyway. Do you think you can get away with this without Gunvolt coming after you?

This time, they were even. Both sides couldn't let themselves be hit by any attacks. Himika blocked and dodged the many bullets directed at her and Darius had to keep his distance as much as possible, hoping that either one of his bullets hit her or that the condition of her body worsens from all the strain she's been putting. One of the guards that were fighting the Glaive Soldiers even contemplated helping, but he knew that first, the other opponents needed to be defeated.


Darius: Kurgh...Fall Down!!!

Himika: Argh...Don't fail me now body...

Their were breathing heavily, with Himika focusing more on keeping hers in check instead of grimacing from all the pain. She had a guess that there was some fractured bones here and there, but worrying about it would be her loss, so she kept moving, trying to go as fast as possible and even beyond that. Darius noticed her getting closer and closer. If he didn't do something fast, he would lose to what he was calling a walking corpse. Just the fact that they were a family that dealt with spirits creeped him even more, wondering if every member was secretly a zombie that wouldn't stay dead.

But he knew that she was a living being, the pained screams from before were real. The moment that he was enjoying her defeat was real. as long as he had those in mind, the fear that he felt like a temporary moment of foolishness of his part. He shouldn't lose focus, the treasure was right there for the taking, nothing would get in his way.

Darius: What!!!

By using as much enhancement magic on her legs as possible, she managed to momentarily move faster than him, getting behind the man's back when he was ready to jump backwards again. Darius knew that dodging the incoming attack was out of question as it would take too long to react to her incoming attack, he had to do it first or else the battle would be over for him.


Himika: This is...

Darius: YOUR END!!!

The girl threw a swing, the man aimed the gun at her body. The push of a trigger and a slash, one of those would reach first...

**Music stops**

But neither attack reached their intended target. The blade stopped at the man's neck and the trigger wasn't pulled. Himika and Darius where in a sudden standstill, as if something had stopped them from moving.


Darius: What...Is happening...My head...It feels heavy...

Himika: (But this can't be...the spirit's presence shouldn't be that intense here...what's going on? Unless...)

"Someone was intentionally raising their spiritual aura to attract more spirits."


Darius: You witch...what have you done this time?

Himika: No, it wasn't my fault...It was...

With his hand covered in some kind stone gauntlet, Theo managed to hit the Glaive Soldier out of the air and straight to the ground. Then, he summoned more earth spikes to restrict him.

Theo: There's no turning back after this.

Kaori: ... (So he's going to keep fighting...even if it hurts him in the inside.)

Theo: By the way, do you know how to deactivate these glaives? I don't think they'll just quietly leave if I just release them as how they are.

Kaori: Yes, it's possible to deactivate it from the outside.

Meanwhile, she felt the girl passing by them, heading towards the Glaive Soldier that was on the ground, no longer binded by the earth spikes, but still couldn't move thanks to his mind being overloaded. She picked him up like he didn't had weight at all, then threw him to the wall.

Kaori: (I have to do something...or else Ted might...)

Her forehead touched his, trying to use her powers to protect his mind from the spirit's voices. Right after that, he gasped for air.

Even if she understood, the spirits were still angered. As much as she considered them like a family from all the years she spent trainning, she still had to abide by the Yurei Seimei's values. She released the soldier, then, started praying, glowing in a serene aura.

Then, the aura gained more intensity, and moments later, the voices of the ghosts were gone. The guard and the Glaive Soldiers gasped for air.


Theo: (Incredible...so this is what the Main Family is capable of.)

As Ted said that, two Elite Glaive soldiers showed up. One of the guards tried to attack them, but he was stabbed by the soldier.

Glaive Soldier 1: W-What? Did I hit something?

Ted: (May your soul rest in peace.)

The guard fell on the ground, dead. Kaori was struggling to hold back the tears. It was her first time seeing death after all.


Glaive Soldier 2: T-There she is. Beginning...

Ted: Give up. You can't fight in your condition...

He approached the guards and politely bowed to them.


Ted: Please...if you keep going, I'm afraid that I might fight you two with all of my strenght. So I beg of you, leave this place right now.

Glaive Soldier 1: No way we're going to lose to a member of the branching family. Your sealing skills won't be of use if we're fully armored.

As an answer to his question, Theo hit his foot on the ground, erupting three spikes that pinned the glaive soldier in place.

Theo took a stance, then ran towards the Glaive Soldier. There was enough space for him to fly around, however, even if he knew about Theo's earth attacks, the influence of the spirits in his mind made his body hard to move, which allowed Theo to hit attacks that wouldn't hit in normal circusntances.

Darius: You look like you have something that can turn the tides...but guess what? I DO TOO!!!

He jumps off the truck, then lands on the ground with his Psychic Aura already expanded to the max.

Guard: Is that some kind of giant made of energy?

Himika: So this is why you were so confident...

Darius: Ancestor Mages are just that, Ancient. Humanity has evolved! Psychic Powers are what it's going to move this world foward now.

He swinged his psychic right arm in an arc. The guards jumped away while Himika jumped over it, then advanced at him with sealing charms in hand.

Himika: (This is my actual first real fight...)

She dodged the next strikes, all of them being close calls due to Darius reaction time. He wasn't letting her get close.


Darius: C'mon! Can't you throw them at me? Or are you too afraid your paper garbage won't work?

Himika: (There's certainly a thrill in this sure...every fiber of my body is under pressure.)

She avoided a kick and a punch that almost smashed her into the ground.


Darius: You're not getting anywhere!

Himika: (But in these circunstances...There's no fun. Fighting for your life is not fun at all. Anyone is sick on the head to think that a fight to the death is something that you can enjoy.)

Darius: HA!!!

Himika soon figured that he knew where she would be next, and planned ahead of that by moving the moment he attacked. Everything bit of trainning she had was giving results. Soon enough, she managed to climb on his back, feeling something familiar in his psychic aura now that she was touching it.


Darius: What? How did you...

Himika: It doesn't take a genius to know that you always have to plan many moves during a battle. (In that case...If I'm going to fight...it's for something worth fighting for...Like, the future of my brother!!!)

She struck a charm on the aura right where Darius was. He felt a brief moment of numbness, but it didn't seem to have stopped him.


Himika: What?

Darius: Whew...Thought I was getting shocked for a moment...but it seems like your little papers really didn't work after all.

Suddenly, a hand emerged from the aura's "back", grabing Himika and crushing her in the truck.


Himika: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Darius: Sorry but, no matter what kind of ancient knowledge you have, it's nothing under the superiority of Psychic Users. Now then, time to...HUH?

He felt the grip on Himika getting loose, he tried to concentrate more of his aura into crushing Himika with more strenght, but she ripped the aura apart with her bare hands, jumping away from Darius before he could process what happened. He managed to reform the aura.


Darius: You...what did you do?

Himika: I just understood what you Psychic Users really are on the inside...just a bunch of spirits that learned how to get bigger.

Darius: What nonsense are you speaking?

Himika: And you know what my family does to spirits...we send them to their proper place in the after life. In your case though, I might have to use everything I got. Don't worry, the Mamoru Seimei family only seals spirits, so you won't be going to the afterlife just yet.

Despite her body screaming in pain, Himika decided to keep fighting.

He dashed foward. Despite his size, he still fast enough to quickly close in on Himika. Still, she was the type to overestimate her opponents, always expecting more than what they currently showed, thanks to that, she kept avoiding his attacks while chanting the summoning spell.


Himika: By the power of the Seven Luminaries alof in the darkest expanse...I call upon thee the, the Light of Mizar, to see my will visited swifitly upon my foes!

Darius: STOP!!!

Himika: A blade born to slash the life and cosmos apart: Mandala Slasher!!!

Mandala Slasher, also known as Mandara-Giri, a sword made to slash apart the spiritual energy of the ghosts. There's only one of its kind, and the only one way to obtain it is going through a harsh trial that puts the Mage's skills to their limit. Himika managed to pass the trial and inherited the sword from her father.


Darius: !!!

Himika: Now then...it's your turn to be on the defensive...

Darius: Kurgh...

Darius reduced the size of the psychic aura, leaving only the enough for him to move around without putting pressure on his wounds from the previous battle, he knew that he needed all the speed possible to avoid her attacks. He deduced that she would have her own speed reduced thanks to the wounds she sustained from his previous attack.


Himika: Don't be so confident on that.

Darius: (No way...she's planning for my next movements too? There's no way she's in conditions for that...)

Himika: It's not hard to guess this one. HA!!!

No matter how fast one was, they still needed space in order to dodge anything. With that in mind, Himika made three summoning sigils appear on her right, left and above, each of them firing a barrage of dozens of sealing charms, giving only Darius space to move foward and backward.


Himika: Now that you're focusing solely on speed, if you touch one of these charms, I'll be able to seal your moves.

Darius: (So it's either fight her head on or retreat and be slashed in the back.) Fine by me...


He pulled a remote and pressed a button, summoning a different rocket launcher from before.


Darius: (This isn't strong as the other one, but it still explodes someone just fine...Even if she's Ancestor Mage, she's taking serious damage if it hits.)

Himika: HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

She dashed foward. Himika knew he would use a solution that didn't involve using is Psychic Aura for long ranged attacks. All she needed to do was to avoid the incoming rocket and she would win.


Darius: (Now you die!)

He fired the rocket. It travelled at a great speeds, quickly closing in on the girl. But still, Himika jumped over it.


Darius: I see, so she has more space to dodge...but jumping over it was a mistake.

The rocket launcher came with four rockets loaded. He fired two more, knowing she wouldn't be able to dodge them in the air.


Darius: Do you have a plan for that?

Himika: You're seeing it right now.

Darius: !!!

Darius could move only foward and backward, this also counted for anything that he fired. The torrent of sealing charms above him caught the missiles and sent them away.


Himika: It's over!!!

Darius: NOT YET!

He waited for her descent, waiting for her to get close enough so that she could get hit by the last rocket. He aimed it at her when she approached.


Himika: (Do you honestly believe I wouldn't know about my disavantage in the air? If I can't dodge these rockets, I just have to destroy the source.)

She swinged the blade earlier, cutting the rocket launcher apart. When she landed on the ground, Darius had only a small window to attack.


Darius: You're mine!!!

Himika: GAH!!!

He punched the girl in the gut with as much strenght as he could possibily muster, launching her away.


Darius: You cleary have forgotten about my reaction time.

Himika: (No..I was counting on it.)

Then he noticed his arm going numb. It didn't respond to his commands anymore, and he couldn't use his psychic aura in that area either.


Darius: No way...My arm...

Himika: Cough...

She struggled to get up, wincing in from the pain of the previous attack.


Himika: The doctors are going to have a field day with my bones...

Darius: Grrrr....

Himika: What's the matter? You can still use your other body parts...You're lucky I only got your arm...Or are you finally realizing that us Ancestor Mages are worth your attention? You should know that we've been around for thousands of years. We had more than enough time to gather more combat experience than you can possibly imagine.

This time, he pressed a button of his remote and summoned an automatic handgun, similar to the ones Werhan carried.

The the smoke cleared up, they saw a small group of many glaive soldiers in front of a truck.


Kaori: I don't get it...Why are you attacking again, and here of all places? Won't you have unecessary losses if you attack an Ancestor Family's home?

???: As if we're going to lose to someone who still hasn't fully recovered from the civil war.

They saw two people on the top of the truck, one of them holding the rocket launcher that exploded the gate.


Himika: It seems that we're being underestimated.

Ted: Very...

???: We'll see about that when you're being stomped to the ground.

???2: That's some confidence you have there Darius. Weak enemy or not, you should be careful...We're not getting any backup if things don't go your way.

Darius: Everything will be fine. I always have my eye on the treasure. I'll do whatever it takes to get it.

Kaori: (I don't think the Mysterious Organization would be this reckless...I'm starting to think this Darius guy is doing this by his own volition...)

Veria: Should I?

???: You should...I mean, I betrayed that place after all, I thought one of your priorities was to go after my head.

Hyde: Darn, I completely missed that.

Nicholas: Why would you want to miss that?

Hyde: No, I mean...If I saw it, I would call the police and all.

Nicholas: Oh, right. For a moment I thought you would actually want to fight them or something...

Rayla saw herself at Unitia's Grasslands. A place very dear to her childhood. She used to hang out with her friends under the lone tree, it was their special spot. Rayla went there and saw two tombstones. It was the memorials of Hugh Maxy Black and Mei Marie White, her childhood friends.


Rayla: Hugh...Marie...I'll get to the bottom of this...I promise...
Voice: That's ridiculous...what do you think you can do by yourself?

Rayla: Mom?

Samantha: You should stick to just helping those around you instead of the whole city. This is too big of a task for you to handle.

Rayla: I'm not alone...

Samantha: It's not the matter of being alone...You saw how your father died despite being considered the strongets. Him...His friends...Me...all perished to this unknown influence...You should just keep yourself safe...and wait for the end.

Rayla: If there's an ending coming...I won't just sit by and accept it.

Samantha: How can you say that? You'll just suffer more once you find out that it's impossible.

Rayla: Why do you think this is really impossible?

Samantha: Everything is against you...the truth is hidden in a deadly darkness...If you go in, you won't survive.

"I refuse this reality..."

But her scream was of no avail, as soon as her mother embraced Rayla, her dream self hugged back, returning the "feelings" of her family and friends.

Dream of the Lone Girl

Tatianna walked around what looked like a deserted Unitia. Nobody was to be see, no familiar faces, nothing. The girl ran around in a panic, praying that she at least saw someone, anyone, even a bad person. All she could hear was the sound of her own footsteps.

Suddenly, she saw herself looking at the Glory Star Orphanage. The place looked deserted as well, but that didn't stop her to enter the place, the feeling of despair overcoming her mind. Her hearbeats felt like it was going to break Tatianna apart.

But all that was gone when she saw a lone Amara sitting in a rocking chair.


Tiane: GRANNY!!!

Without thinking twice, she hugged Amara, crying in joy now that she finally found someone.


Amara: So you're finally back.

Tiane: I was afraid I would be alone...

Amara: Well...that's a given since this place turned into a warzone. Everybody left, afraid that they might get caught in this violent war. The children were all adopted when you were out.

Tiane: Eh?

Amara: And about Rayla...well...She doesn't need you anymore.

Tiane: That's...not true...

Amara: But didn't you leave exactly because it was too dangerous?

Tiane: What?

Then, a thought passed through Tatianna's mind.

Amara: I'm too attached to this place to leave...besides...My time is almost up anyway so it wouldn't matter as much if I stayed or not.

Dream of the Ruined Mountain

Ted was in front of the ruins of his old home. A sight all too familiar to him.


Ted: Why am I here again?
Voice: Are you willing to cause this amount of destruction?

Ted: Who's there?

When he turned around, he saw a bunch of ghostly figures. He couldn't tell what they were, only that they were talking to him.

Voice: Are you willing to ruin many lives in order to keep yours safe.

Ted: I'll do nothing of the sort...
Voice: Admit it, Ancestor Mages like you can only cause destruction. No matter what you do, You'll always commit a sin.

Ted: Like I said, I won't hurt anybody.
Voice: If you don't...then the ones you love will suffer.

Kaori: Theo...

Ted: Huh?

He looked behind him, answering to the name Kaori was calling him. She wasn't the only one there, his new family, his friends, they were a pile of corpses, with only a few that had survived. He picked Kaori up as she was the closest.


Ted: Kaori...I...

Kaori: If you don't do it...We all will...

Suddenly, he saw himself inside his old home, being surrounded by enemies, just like the day he had to run away.


Kaori: Save us...using everything you've got.

Ted: Kurgh...

Then, a stone fell over Kaori, crushing her on the ground. The Mansion was falling apart. Ted could only stare at the horrible sight as the enemies approached and the house kept falling apart.


Ted: No...I won't let this happen...I won't let you guys have your way.
Voice: Then do what it must be done.

Ted: HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Even if he charged at his enemies, his mind was still conflicted, and soon enough, he too, was buried under the debris.

Voice: In the end...he didn't do it...What a pathetic existence.

Dream of the Truth Seeker

Hiagor was staring at a Unitia City in ruins. It aparently had went through a gruesome war...one that wiped the slate clean. He walking over the ruined streets, seeing people struggle with its reconstruction.


Hiagor: What caused this...

Johnson: This happened because it's your fault.

Hiagor: I don't need this right now Johnson...

Johnson: Planning to your mistakes now Detective? That's low even for you. This is the result of your meddling. You caused all of this! You wanted to destroy the root of the city's problems...and you succeeded, but this was the cost!

Hiagor: ...

Johnson: The city was better when it was a corrupt cesspit...But now that it was destroyed by your actions, it's nothing more than a hellhole...I've told you many times to stop, but you didn't listen.

Hiagor: I doubt the truth can cause a catastrophe like this. I'll keep searching for it.

Johnson: So you plan to cause even more damage? I've had enough of this...

Hiagor: You know you can't win...

Johnson: I just have to get one bullet in and you're done for.

Hiagor: If that's what you really want.

But Hiagor didn't feel like moving. Letting Johnson hit a clean hit on his forehead.

Then, he falls on the ground and peacefully welcomes the darkness.

Dream of the Evolved Girl

Kaori saw herself in a unknown place. She got up from the bed and left the pure white room she was in, entering an area full of water tanks with people inside of it. One of these tanks in particular called her attention.


Kaori: That's...Me?

Werhan: Exactly, this is your ultimate destiny...A person without freedom...someone that will be controlled by the larger forces. Psychic Users...Psyccers...Adepts...Regardless of their name, are destined to serve only as a tool to be isolated from society. The Ancestor Mages and Chi Master are more accepted exactly because they can keep their morals in check, but not people like you. It is sad though...being born in the wrong era...having your powers go out of control, being hated by society...I really feel for you right now.

Kaori: I'm guessing you're going to tell me that it was better if I was your puppet.

Werhan: That's right. You would kill and kill, cause chaos and mayhem, but you wouldn't feel any remorse in doing so.

Kaori: Yeah...No way I'm letting that happen!

Kaori summons her sniper rifle and points at Werhan.


Kaori: Even if it may seem scary, I'll fight with everything I've got to earn my freedom!

Werhan: I see...then shoot me. Treat me like a rock that you need to destroy. It's okay if people like me are gone right? Then do it already.

Kaori closed her eyes and pulled the trigger. When she opened them, she noticed Andorina with a bullet wound in her chest.

Sheila was in a familiar place, the place where everything ended for her.


Sheila: The place...it was the day where I killed all these people...

She stood in the center of a carnage. Her mind overcome with feelings of revenge, she heed the voice's call and use the strange ability to slow time to kill the ones that ruined her life.


Yusagi Getsuki: This is the place where I was supposed to die.

Sheila: But...I had to sacrifice many to survive.

Yusagi: Listening to the voice that wanted to save me.

Sheila: But not listening to the will of my heart.

Yusagi: I just wanted to live, there was no need of such carnage.

Sheila: But had I not done that, I would've been killed instead.

Yusagi: Was I really doing this for survival or...

Kenneth woke up, back in his world, but the house he lived most of his life was ruined. He went outside, seeing the forest in flames, the clouded skies robbing the world of its light. Only a shadow figure stood in the air, calling upon meteors to destroy everything. He held the corpe of his mother impaled in a lance.

???: See what happens when you run away from your destiny?

Kenneth: Don't tell me...You're...
???: Yes...I'm the very being that you were supposed to defeat...

Kenneth: Then let's settle this right no-

All of a sudden, he saw a corpse falling in front of him. It was of what looked like an older Kenneth.


Kenneth: Ah...
???: Foolish kid, you weren't strong enough...You thought you could be stronger by a rebel, but you've died like a worm instead.

Kenneth: You're wrong...I'm still here...
???: You were born with a special contradiction that actually had a chance of destroying me, but you are so obssesed with choosing your own path, that you failed to notice that it was nothing more than wishfull thinking.

Kenneth: Shut up...This is the right path for me.
???: Really now? Do you really want your world to perish that much? If that's your wish, then sure...i'll grant it! You can rot in your dear Unitia City.

Kenneth: No...
???: Ira furor brevis est...

Kenneth: I'LL STOP YOU!
???: SEQUERE NATURAM!!!

Suddenly, Kenneth was hit by a massive meteor, being crushed between it and the earth. He had absolute no chance against the ultimate evil.

Rayla: Urgh...

Rayla wasn't in the best of moods when she woke up. Not even the sight of the kids running through the corridors managed to lift a smile.


Rayla: (I feel drained...)

Tiane: *sob* MAN...what the hell kind of dream was that?

Rayla: Morning...

Tiane: Hi there...

Rayla: Were you crying?

Tiane: N-No...I was washing my face and forgot to use a towel...

Rayla: Sure...

Tiane: Seriously...why the hell do I remember everything from it? This sucks so much...

Rayla was silent for a moment, also remembering every detail from the dream she had. She shuddered for a bit.


Tiane: You too?

Rayla: Aparently...

Tiane: Maybe...this is what they call a lucid dream. Let's just forget it happened and move on...

Rayla: Y-You're right... (That's easier said than done...)

Yurei Seimei Mansion - Ted's Room


Ted: Huh? I'm back home?

Kaori: ...

Ted: Wait, was it just a dream?

He looks towards Kaori, who looked like she was about to cry.


Ted: It felt so real...

Kaori: Ted...You too?

Ted: ...

Suddenly, he hugged Kaori, relieve that everything that happened was just a dream.


Kaori: Eh?

Ted: Don't worry...I won't let anything happen to you...or anyone else.

Kaori: T-Ted?

Ted: I promise...

Kaori: You don't sound so certain about that promise.

Ted: You can tell?

Kaori: Yeah...Well, I understand that feeling very well...

Ted: So this means I'm not as ready as I thought I was...

Himika: Good morning bro-

Himika noticed Ted embracing Kaori and slowly closed the door.


Himika: Ok...sorry for interrupting your moment...

Ted: WAIT! This is not what it looks like.

Himika: JUST teasing you! I know you're not the type of person to take advantage of a girl. You're too kind for that.

Ted: Y-Yeah...

Kaori: (She understood the situation pretty quickly...no...more like she understands her brother well enough to trust him.)

Himika: Anyway, morning you two.

Kaori: Good Morning...

Himika: Breakfast is already done. Hurry before it gets cold.

Ted: Okay!

Himika: Oh, and you forgot this in my room.

Himika gives Kaori her normal clothes before heading off. Ted soon follows in order to give Kaori some privacy while changing.


Kaori: Seems like we both had a terrible dream...One that we still remember vividly...I wonder what this means.

Spring Zone - Hiagor's Office

Hiagor was at the rooftop, smoking a cigarrete, thinking about the dream he just had.


Hiagor: Lucid dream...Maybe this is why I let him shoot me...

The city was intact, unlike his dream were everything was destroyed.


Hiagor: Sorry man...But I feel like the truth will save this city instead. If this dream was some sort of premonition...then I'll do my best to avoid said future.

Summer Area - Summer Park

Sheila arrived at the place earlier than normal and without her guitar. Today, she had to focus on searching for the man that saw the Blue Reaper's face. After a while, Carlu arrived.


Carlu: Greetings.

Sheila: Good morning...

Carlu: You look down for some reason.

Sheila: Well...my dream decided to be a jerk and show me an event from the past...that's all.

Carlu: You say that's all, but it cleary affected you a bit...Maybe we should investigate another day...

Sheila: No...It's okay...Let's do this.

Carlu: Vineria sent me a print of that man. Here's a copy for you.

Kenneth decided to skip breakfast and head directly to school.


???: Oh? Good morning Mr. Kenneth, you're earlier than usual.

Kenneth: Morning.

???: What's the matter? Not feeling so well?

Kenneth: I'm fine.

???: I see...Want to me to accompany you to school?

Kenneth: Do what you want.

???: (He isn't the best of moods right now...)

Kenneth: My apologies if I sound a bit rude Miss Shuusuke.

Hinata Shuusuke: It's okay...You most likely had a bad dream.

Kenneth: Heh...

Hinata: Wait, I got it right?

Without saying another word, Kenneth walked out of the complex.


Hinata: Ah, wait for me!
