Bio

I am a 29 year old male. It has been a while since I posted to this site, but I want to get back into it. I enjoy RPing fantasy mostly, with some interest in Sci Fi and certain fandoms. I am more likely to maintain an RP if my partner is skilled in RPing and posts at least once every few days. I have an active imagination and tend to post casual to advanced. I am looking forward to RPing with many different people, and I thank you for taking the time to read my bio. :)

Titus's primal urges went into overdrive when the young man suddenly dropped from the tree. He hadn't been expecting to encounter another shifter so soon, but this man was obviously one of them. The way he looked, moved, and acted all screamed shifter to Titus's senses. He'd found that when the shifter was a large predator, he often could tell even when they were in human form. However, if their other form was more discreet, he would sometimes miss it. His muscles tensed and his eyes turned back to the girl in front of him as she commanded him to shift and stared into his eyes, her own unwavering.

She had taken him by surprise with the command, both because of it being a command coming from an obviously physically inferior woman, and also because she obviously had some knowledge of his nature simply by his question. If she knew that much about him so easily, it could only mean that she was one herself. Still, he wasn't sure he wanted to shift in so open of a place. The look of surprise faded from his face and his own gaze became as steely as hers, staring back at her, trying to assess whether he would be safe showing this girl what he considered to be his true form. After a long moment of silence he said, "Not here. Too many prying eyes. I don't trust them, and to be honest, I'm not sure I trust you either. However, if you are willing to confirm your own ability to shift, I'll do the same. Still, not here. Do you know of a place that would give us more privacy?"
Okay, the first post is up! Let the party begin! Lol
King Warren Ainos sat in the rather modest seat that had been built for him at the head of the table in the castle council meeting room. His bearded chin rested between his thumb and forefingers, which absently would slide down his beard as he stared intently at the map before him. The map was of the entire kingdom of Pantos, and across it had been set several black markers that represented the troubles that had spread throughout his kingdom. This meeting was a secret one, one his wife and his two most trusted officials were in attendance. His wife, Queen Aria, was an accomplished diplomat and knew the ins and outs of every kind of political situation, as well as the repercussions any actions taken in his kindgom might have. She was a wise and noble woman. The Lord General Feyne was also there, a strongly built man with graying hair that had one been a burning red. He was in full steel plate armor, excluding his helmet. Lord Feyne was the King's closest friend and a master tactician. His war and battle experience were invaluable, and his opinion was highly regarded by the king. Finally, there was Lady Ophelia, one of the most powerful wizards in the land. She had a knowledge of arcane lore and magical influence that was unmatched anywhere in the kingdom, or at least, she claimed as much. She was by far the youngest of those gathered, being only in her mid thirties, but her mind was supremely sharp and attentive, accompanied by a no nonsense attitude and a fierce loyalty to Queen Aria, who had appointed her as advisor to the king.

The King stared for a moment longer at the large map. Two months before, when they'd first began keeping track of the strange happenings and dark dealings that had begun to plague his kingdom, there had only be a few scattered marks here and there. Now, only two months later, the map was completely peppered with black marks. Of course, they had been keeping track of the rumors and tales through the use of Ophelia's magic and discernment of what could be discounted combined with the Queen's intelligence network and the Lord General's knowledge of the land. It was quite possible that many of the black markers represented troubles that had begun as a side effect of another mark, ones that were deeper than the rest. Still, it was impossible to keep track of everyone one of them, or to tell which ones were likely to be the most important. That was part of the reason they'd decided to assemble this group of magic users.

At first, the King had been suspicious of the idea of giving the fate of the land into the hands of magic wielding strangers. However, Ophelia had proposed the idea and stood by it fervently and the Lord General had pointed out that the king's men could not take care of all of the problems either, firstly because they would not have the discernment needed to solve the problems and secondly because such a large number of the king's men roaming the countryside literally looking for trouble would cause panic, or worse, resistance or rebellion. The Queen had supported the Lord General's points and so the King had given in, giving the order for the most powerful magic users that lived close enough to the palace in the capitol of Hiran to be summoned to the castle.

Now, only hours from the time of the meeting with the magic users, King Warren looked up at his General, his gaze shifting from him to the Queen and he said, "So then, when should we expect the first of these magic users to arrive?" The Queen smiled gently and put her hand on her husband's arm. "Patience, my lord. Of the 12 letters that were sent, 7 replied by letter and two by other means. Ophelia has assured me that those who did not reply are likely to show up anyway, simply because of the nature of the summons." She looked up at Ophelia, seeking confirmation as a slight worry in her eyes, but it vanished when Ophelia nodded stoically and the Queen turned back to her husband. "The first of them should be arriving any minute, my King. When we sent the letters with the summons, Ophelia included a small rune that would serve as a token to be shown to the guards. I've instructed the guards at the gate that anyone who comes to the gates bearing one of these runes should be allowed inside and escorted here." The King nodded thoughtfully at his wife, then turned back to the map, his eyebrows drawn together into a worried frown. "Let's only hope that they are able to carry out this task we shall ask of them."
Renny- Silas Greer is now accepted. I appreciate you taking my advice. His personality is going to be interesting, as he portrays himself as a villain while actually acting like somewhat of a hero. I'll be interested in how that plays out IC.

WanderingSpirit- Fiona Solrock is accepted. She character is remarkably well put together and not at all overpowerered. In fact, I'd even say that your character's gloves can be completely fireproof. Since they only cover the hands, it doesn't overpower her. ^_^

Harine- First, I'm going to call Harine from now on because it's easier. Lol Secondly, I will approve all of your changes except one. Since she is already a sorceress and a skilled swordswoman and also able to ride a horse quite well, I see little need for her to be a good archer as well. Any long range attacks can be through her sorcery. Her bow of light has arrows that are controlled by your character already, so there's no need to have normal archery skills.

MESSAGE TO ALL- I think I'm going to post the first IC post today, then you can all start posting. My first post will guide you to where your characters will be starting. Remember, you are able to die and allowed to kill each other even, if you can do it without god modding. I will be monitoring posts and deciding what is god modding. If I see it, I'll send you a PM and tell you to change the post. If you do not do so within a day, I will kill your character or take control of it. As long as everyone plays by the rules, this could be a very interesting game. One last thing, any characters that are not active for a week(unless notice has been given to me by PM) will be either killed or taken control of by me. Make sure to have fun everyone. ^_^

P.S. I'd meant to post this two days ago, but the site has been screwy and wouldn't let me post it on any computer.
I can make an exception on the appearance. If you don't refer to yourself as lich, you may have the phylactery and not be undead. Your soul would be tied to it and it would have to remain on you, or at least close by, because if it is destroyed, then so are you. It can be destroyed by any magical damage, but is immune to normal damage.
Titus remained serious, bracing himself slightly when the girl got up and took a defensive posture. Having been in the wild for so many years, he was very attuned to the body language of other beings, even humans, though he had spent little time among them. He could tell this girl was wary, her eyes watching him carefully as she spoke. However, when she looked around at the various animals, he opened his senses and realized that there was indeed a large number of beings nearby, including another human, who seemed to be ignoring them. When the girl turned back to him, questioning him once more, her defensive posture seemed to have relaxed a little as she gave a small smile. He allowed himself a returning smile and crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"Why would I say something as silly as that. You know there's no such thing as ghosts." He glanced around at the depressing state of the zoo, his smile fading as he spoke again, half to himself. "Although, memories of sad events and loneliness can certainly leave behind feelings that could be mistaken for spirits of some sort." His attention turned back to the girl in front of him, his eyes locking with hers. "I came here in search of some people who might be able to help me. You see, I have a certain... health condition and I'd heard that there were some people near this city that might be able to help me."
Zombehs- I'll allow the horcrux like object under the following condition. Unlike a horcrux, if someone else gains possession of it, they have the power over his life, causing him pain or even killing him if they wish. This could also be used as a means of controlling him. If you don't want that condition, then you can make it a phylactery, which is a small container that holds his life force, but grants no power to anyone who holds it beyond the fact that if it is destroyed, so is your character.

Black Wizards- I agree about the clash of personality, but whether they've met before should be decided between you and Harine.

Renny- Silas needs some work. I can't accept the character quite yet, as he is a bit overpowered as he stands. I like the idea of an air mage who is also a warrior, especially the lance. However, there is no basis for your character to be so old and have eternal youth. Your character should be a reasonable number of years old and age normally. Also, his credentials don't quite fit with backstory. I think he should focus mainly on one weapon type and have a second as back up, but not a third. Right now you have lance, bow, and sword. I'll let you keep your lance, but it's enchantment is too powerful. Dumb that down a bit. I'll accept your character being a horseman, farmer, quick thinker, and even being educated. Once you've made the appropriate changes, let me know and I'll look it over again.
Whirlwind, I understand what you mean, but I feel you should specify whether the things she remembers is what she sees or what she hears. I think she'd be a bit too powerful if she remembered everything she'd ever seen or heard. I think an eidetic memory is remembering what you've seen. So, choose either sight or sound, and that I'll allow.
The Warlock's reality manipulation normally affects laws and rules of the universe, rather than a specific kind of object or medium. I can't really go into specifics, as it can be utilized in many ways, but it's safe to say that anything resembling elemental magic is not likely to be in the Warlock's repertoire.

Damien Graves is accepted, but needs quite a bit of nerfing. First, he cannot be a lich unless he looks like a lich. He would definitely be undead, so he would look like an undead, decayed or shriveled. The phylactery is almost always a small container with certain elements in it, rather than a solid piece. I like your death knights, but the female will not be able to do any magic besides minor necromancy.

Marianna Delacroix is accepted. I have no real critiques for this character. She is well put together and manages to also be non-stereotypical. I'm impressed. ^_^

Khor Karakas is accepted. His abilities aren't quite how I'd laid them out, but they are similar enough and balanced enough that I have no objections for now.
Sorry, as I said in the beginning, its first come first serve. If you submit a character before someone else I will approve it.
