Are people still on-board with this?

At any rate, I'll get something up tomorrow afternoon/evening. In terms of setting up the scavenger hunt, I'm thinking a small scale would suit us better, say only requiring 4 items rather than something like 10. And in terms of some kind reward, it could money or space weed, which could be a funny turn of events. Or it could be something tech related or individualized for the winners, in which case, each person would get to pick some kind of small prize, if we place of course...

I like the space weed idea.

Edit: It just occurred to me that far too many running jokes that come up in the RP's I'm a part of happen to involve marijuana. I really don't know how that happened. XD
Despite the immense value he placed on preventing the dragon from causing any more deaths, Vash couldn’t help but be a little distracted when Sorin summoned a small army of vampires to aid him in the fight, his facial expression shifting into one of shock and astonishment as he watched them appear. And to astound him even more, Sorin seemed to treat the whole ordeal rather casually, only laughing at Vash’s decision to fight.

“I never said I didn’t value my life, or anyone else’s.” Vash shot back angrily. “And what are those things?!” he demanded to know, gesturing at the newly-summoned vampires.

Pulling his attention back towards more important matters, though, Vash cringed at the sounds of Ranma’s pained screams as the explosion engulfed her. He didn’t expect that she would survive, and so, he was thoroughly shocked to see her get up and continue fighting, especially in her horrible state. Vash called to her from a distance, urging her to pull out before she got herself killed, but it quickly became apparent that his words wouldn’t get through to her in such a state. As he ran towards her, though, he stopped at the sight of one of Sorin’s vampires being brought to a swift end by the wyvern’s jaw. He flinched slightly, pulling an arm out in front of him to block the blood splatter from his face, not even knowing what to feel for the poor creature’s death as he wasn’t certain just how alive it was to begin with. Suddenly, Vash’s black-and-white philosophy was facing gray areas that he had never even imagined. He didn’t have much time to contemplate such things, though, as Ranma met her fate almost immediately thereafter. And despite her feat from earlier, Vash was certain this time that she could not have survived.

With a fury of emotion, the Humanoid Typhoon fired several more shots at the underside of the beast’s wings — the only non-armored spot he could count on to deal any damage. Sure, the dragon’s underbelly had been exposed, and if he were fighting a human opponent, Vash would probably be able to determine where any vital areas were and manage to avoid delivering a lethal shot to the abdomen. But he wasn’t facing a human opponent, and, for fear of killing the thing, he only aimed at the wings. There wasn’t much strategy to aiming for that area anymore, but, it was all he could think of to do to weaken the creature; all he could manage in a desperate attempt to stop the killing.

Then it diverges into M:tG gameplay stuff.

Aaaaaaah that would explain why I don't know any of the terminology.

Somehow I'd been running with the assumption that all the characters here are from shows or video games or something of the sort, so all the technical stuff caught me off guard.

And thus Sorin totally failed to buff Saber or even Archer, because spur-of-the-moment buffs that feel creepy as fuck because he's mostly linked to Black mana. Not that they honestly need it. XD

Could consider the action to take place simultaneously with their attacks. Board-wide buffs are actually where most of Sorin's White alignment comes from, gameplay-wise. Lifelink as an ability is shared by Black and White.

I know, I know; both of them have a life obsession. Black pays it a lot, White makes it a lot. And lifelink can show up anywhere at all. But still, the point is more one of 'Sorin is a creepy bastard and both of them resist magic', combined with the spell itself being a quick thing. Saber's magic immune unless she wants to be affected, Archer can ignore things cast so hastily and still reduces the effects of bigger stuff. Even if it WASN'T so quick, spreading it amongst so many people would dilute the effect. Also, they really don't need physical buffs with their weaponry. XD

And suddenly I don't understand what we're talking about at all. o3o

It's something somebody who is trying to be politically correct fails to realize comes across as kinda racist, since it basically reads "anybody but whitey", regardless of context and groups every other ethnicity into one boat.Because I'm sure there's no distinction worth noting between say a Jamaican black dude and a Hong Kong native other than they don't lack skin pigment.

And this is just another reason why the concept of political correctness really bugs me.

Doesn't always work. During the hiccup the other day, that's exactly what I was doing. , so I C+P'd what I'd written and attempted to resubmit. Went through this process a couple of times, assuming it was my internet acting up, and you saw what happened.

Well, sometimes when they aren't there, it's because it's lagging. That's why I tend to wait a minute or two before trying to resubmit.

Just delete everything in the url after roleplayerguild.com and hit enter, it'll take you back to the main page you last looked at and then just go back to whatever forum/pm you were posting and it'll probably be there. Refreshing causes the multiple posts.

Yeah, that's basically what I do.

Whenever the forum freezes up on me, I always just open up RPG in another tab and navigate back to whatever thread I was on. Once I see that it's there, I close the old tab.

@Kaga: Yeah which is why I wasn't too keen on doubling back but one is wrangled in, not sure about the other....I may end up posting tomorrow night and moving on, the sooner the better right?*grumbles*

Yeah, I think it's better at this point to just move along and hope for the best, rather than troubling ourselves with such a messy start.
