I've got this obsession of having all the statuses on my profile page with more than 2 likes. I know that when the wailing winds of darkness come for me, these thumbs up will keep them away!
@Lmpkio: it was also a perceived lack of support characters/Talon operatives/antagonists. Otherwise I'd just stick to Erika. DO what you will man, I ain't got no control over you.
Marionette goes about his duties with the precision of a well-oiled machine. He's emotionless and calm almost all of the time, working silently and without complaint. He gets the job done, moving toward his greater goals, whatever those are. Loyalty seems to be alien to him--his aims align with Talon, for the moment, but only his cruel efficiency makes him useful enough to trust remotely. Peacere is quiet and reserved, listening more often than speaking when with other Talon operatives. Even when he does speak, it's concise and to the point, his voice just barely loud enough to be heard clearly. Objections to what he's told to do are equally as calm and calculated.
All of that being said, he does do his best to return other Talon operatives alive. Any unnecessary losses are considered failures on his part. His enemies aren't so lucky.
Likes: ✔ Precision Work ✔ Simple, clean missions. ✔ ??? ✔ Certain operatives he's worked with, who display a particular quality. Yay mysteries.
Hobbies: "I do not understand the organic need to consume one's free time with a 'hobby'. I do, however, enjoy sewing clothing for those who feel that they should cover themselves."
Strengths: ⚜ If you've never dealt with Marionette before, he's a dangerous, hard to see coming foe. Better agents than most have fallen victim to the webs he weaves. ⚜ Unless he's entirely disintegrated or his robotic brain is totally destroyed unexpectedly, Peacere's nearly impossible to kill. If he's got time to activate his self repair, his nanites will rebuild him after a delay. ⚜ His metallic mind has a dogged, merciless attitude toward his work. He doesn't give up on a job easily.
Weaknesses: ☠ Marionette is an omnic, and as such is vulnerable to god AIs like Anubis, and his nanites are subject to temporary deactivation by sufficiently skilled hackers. ☠ Electrical blasts of sufficient power can take out poorly placed nanites. ☠ Peacere's a far greater threat in close range and confined spaces than he is farther away, and he can't fly or attack those in the air without some creativity.
Brief Biography: Created slightly before the Omnic crisis as a general combination medical and repair robot, the Omnic that would later become known as Peacere Kovalyov fought alongside millions of his brethren in the wars against humankind. When the war was lost and the omniums powered down, Peacere was deactivated--but not found and destroyed like many of the more combat focused robots left in the angered and vindictive country of Russia. Marooned and frozen in ice for a decade or two until two sympathetic travelers found him and dug him out. Having forgotten a lot of his identity, he renamed himself after the two of them, and the first word they said to him: "Peace".
How he subsequently became involved with a terrorist organization like Talon is something of a mystery. But few can doubt his devotion to his goals or his abilities.
Organisation information
"I am what I am. No more, no less."
Organisation Alias Marionette
Organisation Affiliation Talon
Base of Operation Los Angeles, US
Previous Base Of Operation: Siberia.
Battle Type/ Role: Defense/Support.
Occupation (Currently): Talon Agent
Occupation (Previously): Wanderer, Security bot.
Abilities
"There are innumerable ways I could remove you. One will be sufficient."
Nanite Rush Peacere commands a flood of the nanites under his control to flow in a beam from his outstretched hand. If they are set to heal, they'll swarm over the target, repairing flesh and armor alike at a decent rate. If set to harm, the nanite structure becomes sharp, slicing up the target. For obvious reasons, not that great against armor or shields.
Maestro's Strings Like a spider weaving a sinister web, Peacere creates molecule thin wires all around a choke point with his nanites, nearly invisible and capable of slicing through nigh anything that isn't protected with a shield (the electrical nature of the shield interferes with the nanites' ability to cohere). It's devastating to those who don't see him coming.
Molecular Interference Spending too much time near Peacere starts to create problems for advanced technology. His nanites grab little bits and pieces of anything metal nearby to use for building new nanites and simple repairs. Not such a big deal for lower level tech, like Roadhog's hook or junk blaster, since the damn things are only being held together with kangaroo grease and gumption anyway. Mercy's flight suit or Zarya's blaster would be a little more subsceptible. Most of these devices have their own self repair systems or will eventually adapt--but as long as they're still being eroded, this won't take effect.
Passive: Hive Healing When not being used for some other purpose, Marionette's nanites repair his own metallic body using material from his environment, and shield him from harm, particularly from beam weapons.
Ultimate Ability: Nanite Storm "DEVOUR!" Marionette's nanite generators go into overdrive, consuming most metal nearby to create new members of the hive. This weakens everyone in the area immensely, including allies--but after the initial blast is done, a secondary fire launches, repairing all allied weapons, armor, and healing them to full. Taking him out before the secondary blast will leave his allies weak.
Other Information
Other: "I am fluent. No further specification necessary." Peacere's robotic mind has perfect recall, and as such he can remember any language he's learned perfectly. Accessing the internet to download a new dictionary is child's play if he's in a service area. "I have no musical talent. It is as it is."
Theme Song
Theme Song: None yet.
Felt like we had a lack of Omnics. If the GMs want to ask me questions about what the mysteries are, they are welcome to.
Egh, I meant Firewatch's profile. I mean, I could try to shift away from fire somewhat but it'd mean a total rework since that's Erika's entire shtick. She was originally lightning, I think, but I remembered Winston.
I'll fix the eyesore when not on mobile.
I'm resisting the urge to physics geek and start splitting hairs, so bear with me XD
@Lmpkio I just picked a random color, probably because it was painful to read. I coded this in notepad so no clue about its appearance then XD
Also, if you read Firewatch (which admittedly, I did not) her character is based entirely around suppressing fire, not starting it apart from her plasma torch. I don't know if that makes a difference, but it seems like it should.
