Contrary to what the dragon that dragged her into the magma thought, there was no harm done to Samus other than what the impact itself caused. The Gravity Suit's magma shielding kicked in as soon as she hit the molten rock, protecting her from its extreme heat. She noticed the usual drop in combat shielding when it happened, though, so she was more vulnerable to any attacks that may come. Motion set off her suit's proximity detector, something she was too focused on the scan to notice before, and she turned to see a much larger dragon moving rapidly towards her. She managed to get a couple of ice beam shots off, but they just glanced off, forcing her to roll out of the way to avoid damage. She spent too much time shooting, though, and was clipped by the dragon's claws, causing her to slide across the ground. The Hunter turned to face the dragon again, only to have it slam into her and drag her against the ground, draining her shielding at an alarming rate. It then threw her out of one of the magma pockets again, and she barely managed to land on her feet. Samus looked just in time to see Rawk and Link disappear into a rift in Cyberspace, and it was then she noticed Deadpool was missing. "Damn, his teleporter's screwing up the world even more than the crucible piece already has." It was at that moment that the large dragon erupted from the magma and let a roar loose in Samus and Omega's direction. "And there's that."
---------
Just as Rawk and Link noticed Samus coming back into view, a rift of some kind opened around them and dropped them into a dark region. They then landed on something Rawk and Link both would likely find very familiar: a massive canvas stretching into the distance. Nothing happened so far, but there was definitely something in the room with them, and it was very likely they both knew what that was.
---------
As if he were still trying to interfere, Chaos's headless body slid off of some platform on the collapsing castle and smacked Ganondorf's side, though it was barely even noticed. What was hard to miss, though, was a dark mist that phased into view with a three point "visor" in its upper regions that a cold blue light issued from. The mist descended on Chaos's corpse, which then faded into mist itself and was absorbed into the rest of the misty mass. It then phased out, leaving no trace of ever being there other than Chaos's corpse now missing.
---------
On Cirno, Okuu, Jack, and Bee's end, the castle abruptly halted its descent and the magma pool ceased to rise. A shrill laugh was heard then, and a dark-skinned old woman rose from below on a broomstick. Flame rushed from her head in place of hair. She let another shrill laugh loose and said, "These fools threaten our son's rule, Kotake." From behind, another voice sounded out, "Shall we show them how we treat obstacles, Koume?" If they looked behind them, they'd see an identical woman, only with icy mist where the other had flames. "I think we shall, sister."
Also, I am bringing in Twinrova to occupy Cirno and Okuu as a sort of mini battle. Feel free to take over, either of you, if you feel up to it.
Anyway, Maxwell is approved, and my new sheet is up.
Username: Kalamadea Name: John "Grimjack" Gaunt (real name unknown) Origin: Grimjack (First Comics series) Where you wind up?: The city of Cynosure Gender: Male Appearance: Gaunt is easily described as appearing very rough, and many would consider him ugly. Gaunt is moderately tanned, with sharp stone-grey eyes that seem to pierce into one's soul. He keeps his straight black hair at shoulder length, with the gray streak clearly visible due to his hair being combed back most of the time. His jowls are clearly defined, but not that prominent, and his cheeks are slightly sunken, giving him a sort of skeletal look when his face is viewed from the correct angle. A single scar graces his face over his left eye, and his large nose is hooked, something obvious from the side. His attire appears to be an old military uniform with a variety of pockets, and a utility belt sits on his hips to hold ammunition, his guns, and a variety of other necessities. He also sports a long blue cape, likely part of the uniform he wears, with large shoulder plates protecting his neck and shoulders. He also sports a red bandanna around his neck. Every pocket on his uniform always looks stuffed with supplies.
Alignment: Technically neutral, but tends to stick around with the highest bidder (obviously it's the Protagonists at this time). Personality: Grimjack is a bastard, simply put. He puts his greed at top priority, only ever helping people if they can pay his hefty fee. He's blunt, cold, and downright callous at times. Despite this, he still holds a code of honor from the early years of Cynosures mercenary market, one not really followed anymore. He will never break a promise or a contract, holding that loyalty is what keeps you valuable as a mercenary. Bolstering this is his training as a soldier during his first life. He also, much like Ajax, feels that you should only fight your own battles, never interfering with someone else's, because you just might end up screwing up something. Grimjack is also a drunk, but has, in his several thousand combined years of life, developed such a tolerance for alcohol that it hardly affects him anymore. He's also a chain smoker, and is rarely seen without a cigarette in his mouth (usually it's only when he's drinking). Finally, the rest of his personality could be described in a phrase: "A man with a soul so black Hell itself was too good for him." Skills: Master Marksman: With several lifetimes of experience, Grimjack is the best general marksman in Cynosure, and one of the best in the Multiverse. While he is not totally accurate with any specific weapon, he can pick up any weapon and start using it without instruction, even if he's never seen or touched it or even heard of it before. Master Swordsman: Grimjack loves only one thing as much as his guns and booze, and that's his swords. He possesses several lifetimes' worth of experience honing his swordsmanship, making him one of the most dangerous swordsmen in the Multiverse. Tactical: Grimjack's first life was a soldier, and he retains the tactical mindset from that life. He can analyze almost any situation and figure out how to come out on top. Powers: Reincarnation: When his original life died and he was judged for the dimensions of Heaven or Hell, he was banished from both, causing him to be unable to die permanently. When he dies, he is reincarnated in the next world and the group enters when he reaches his usual age, and the encounter awakens his memories as John Gaunt. His equipment is then restored after the world he is reincarnated in. Equipment: Unbranded Pistol: A custom-made pistol he paid a hefty sum for, this pistol is crafted to his hand specifically, allowing for far steadier handling. This also means if anyone else tries to use it, they'd be unable to handle it properly. He can also load a variety of types of ammo into it, as he designed it with versatility in mind. Most common ammunition he uses with it is .45 magnum rounds, but he carries experimental one-use energy charges. He has four of these, replenished between worlds. He carries 15 mags of magnum rounds, each one holding 10 rounds. Military Saber: Each life carries the original saber Grimjack used. This is nothing special, really, just a standard military saber. Steel Dagger: A typical dagger he uses in his off-hand. Sawn-off Shotgun: An unremarkable sawn-off shotgun. He doesn't use it much, preferring his swords and pistol. Other: Password: Draco Ignis
Rawk's right, in the game itself more than the Master Sword could harm him. Here, the "only the Master Sword" thing was for Bee's phase of the battle, when Ganondorf actively maintained shielding, and the Master Sword outright bypassed this shield. If you'd have read Ajax's sheet, Jon, you'd know that if Ajax had interfered with Bee's phase he'd have decimated Ganondorf. The fact that his personality prevents it saved the entire battle. Ajax can overpower magical protections and immunities with brute force. Also, Ganon is Ganondorf's final phase, it's just another form of Ganondorf's, so there really isn't a difference between Ganon and Ganondorf. I've been looking at exactly what Zero's been doing and none of it has been outside of the limitations placed on him (in this case, mostly personality-based limits, which works every bit as well as physical limitations). Now would you kindly drop this subject? You're the only one with a problem here, so that ought to say something at least. EDIT: Anyway, I'll be bringing in a guy that won't show up until we get out of the digital universe. He's a canon character, but can be placed in a Multiverse RP without breaking any lore at all, nothing special done, nothing. He's gonna help the newcomers get familiarized with how things work in the Multiverse. He's also skilled enough to fit, as he has killed would-be gods before. EDIT 2: And don't think it's just Jon that's the problem. Zero, I do want you to hold back on the attempts to outright kill. Chaos was understandable (and has a habit of coming back from the dead anyway). From now on killing as well as resurrecting player characters must be approved by me since it's appearing to become a problem. I do manage to at least do OOC checks daily and manage OOC stuff, it's mainly IC that I can't do a bunch of posting daily (which is why the IC is collaboratively GM'd), so you don't have to worry about waiting too much. I realize this looks like me stacking limitations on, but it's mainly me correcting oversights with the original system.
Oh, figure I ought to warn you guys that Deadpool's teleporter usage in a world so heavily affected by the Crucible will have IC consequences, outlined in my next post. Mostly it's how I'm getting Link and Rawk their boss fight.
I can try, but all I have to do so with is a dying phone.
Chaos could still be revived even after I'm done. I just denied it this time due to it being assumed it was fine.
First off, don't think relation abd veterancy will make you safe against being kicked out. You want to cause issues, I will ask you to leave. Second, my plans for Chaos come to fruition in my next post. Normally I'd have said yes to reviving him, but since you assumed it was okay, the answer's no this time. Third, drop the argument. It's going nowhere and I'm getting sick of it. Also, Eldrad is approved.
Speaking of death, got plans for Chaos. Not sure if you'll like it, Grand, but gotta keep in character. Eldrad looks fine at a glance. Gimme some time to review him in detail. EDIT: Apparently GM posts are tagged as such, even though this is now collaboratively run, lol. EDIT 2: Also, Zero already knows this, but here's the message I sent him about upgrades.
Things are gonna be more consistent this time around. Unless we're in a universe for an extremely long time, world totems will only grant a single ability for everyone. Crucible Pieces are gonna be kinda weird this time since the fragments were larger, but Hyrule's giving three and the rest will give two due to larger fragments than before so we can have less time in the digital universe. Veteran characters will, however, get less since they're more powerful already and so new characters can get that initial boost. Veterans will be getting two abilities from Hyrule and a single ability from the rest of the Crucible pieces.
