As tempted as he was to maybe join in the mock fight, Grit thought it would be rude to simply intrude on it like that. I took some time, but eventually the unarmed goblin was starting to more easily guard against the spear's attacks. After a while they stopped, clearly too tired to continue. Grit listened to the unarmed one's plan as he talked to the other.
It was then that he was noticed, and the idea of Grit coming along was brought up. "Sure." Was all the goblin said in response. It sounded as though he agreed to come with them when they set out, but one couldn't be sure if he would listen to orders if given.
Day 4
As the morning rays reached his face Grit squeezed his eyes shut before opening them with a yawn. He looked at the others to see them waking as well, and after stretching a bit stood up and yawned again. He spotted gramps near the entrance to the cave, deciding to walk over to the ntrance to look outside. He left the few orange berries he had by where he rested.
He stood there looking a the trees and sky, waiting there as the others fully woke.
I'm pretty sure she's just killed one skeleton so far. From what I read of the post, Jangel gave no clear indication that Gina went through and defeated them all.
"Each skeleton that was killed would help in restoring the church to a safe haven rather than a death trap." - Just tells me the first one she killed is just a step towards clearing the church grounds of them. If I am misreading it @Jangel13, please tell me. Otherwise I'm a bit confused.
Grit couldn't help but smile at the rhyme of the old goblin, clearly amused and somewhat cheered by his attempt. His smile fell, though, at the growl of his stomach and he organized the green and blue berries together before quickly wolfing them down... mostly. He still had several that he held out to gramps for answering his question. Once free to do so, Grit would take the red and yellow berries and bury them at the entrance to the cave, it wouldn't do for one of the others to eat one by accident.
The orange ones he kept in hand, due to their use in a form of medicineHe observed that the oter two goblins were doing something... Pretending to fight? Interested, Grit sat down near the two to watch them.
"Come brothers! The night is fast approaching and our prey has gone to ground. Now we must rest for another day of hunting in the morning."
Grit looked up from his collection of berries on the ground, just in time to see what he thought was the goblin who called out pass between two trees. With a sigh, and growling stomach, he looked back to his berries. He had gathered more than he thought he would, but they were small bunches of different colors and he had no idea which ones were edible. He couldn't afford the risk of getting poisoned, and he couldn't stay out any longer.
With another sigh Grit gathered up the berries and walked back to the cave, walking slow so as to be more careful and not drop any berries. Walking into the cave he watched as a pair of other goblins seemed to just finish talking about something with the older goblin. Thinking it as good a time as any, Grit walked up to the old goblin, holding out the berries, "Can you tell me which are safe to eat?" It was all he said, there wasn't anything else for him to talk about. But he did look around, weren't there supposed to be more of them here?
