The zombie's groaning blared in the distance as it got closer and closer with each ragged breath. The cold night air coursed through Stele's lungs and dried her already parched throat. Her heart was beating so fast; she was excited, she had never felt more alive. Stele let her hands rest upon her knees as she took two deep breaths. She wiped away the beads of sweat on her forehead. She looked at her surroundings. Stele launched into an alley at full speed with her arms stretched out in front of her as she ran. She hurried, hoping no bandits has taken over the house. As Stele ran, she stumbled over a twig and was now covered in mud. She looked to her side and noticed two undead creatures walking towards her. Stele tried to get up, but her legs were shaking and she was terrified. "What. Turnturnturn! Come on it! Come out and help me! Kill them!" The walkers came closer as she screamed at herself. One zombie grabbed her arm and tried biting it, but she was persistent. Another lurched for her legs, dragging his rotten carcass across the floor. Tears ran down her pale face, "nononononononono." She closed her eyes struggling with the creatures.

The zombie loosened his grip and went for her face. She kicked the one that was trying to nibble her leg. Once it fell she used her other hand to punch the zombie allowing her to ran away from them. Jumping up and down, cheerfully, she got out of the forest and ran straight for the suspicious looking mansion up ahead. "Woo h-" She stopped running midway beholding the scene unfolding right before her eyes; Zombies groaned as they tried to force themselves in through the front door. She shrugged, "Oh well." Stele bolted towards the house, holding on tightly to her knife. She didn't have a plan, per say. All she knew was that she could always force her way through. She was ecstatic, breathing heavily.
