To some degree, Andre's plan worked. Whereas Jester by easily possessing his target taught the librarians that the man was no holder. The man in front was brought to tears by Jester as he played a terrified, brazen fool (even if he had managed not to get punched by Vologhn.) A contrast that at the very least confused the on-lookers.
“What's wrong with this bloke?” One of them wondered, but once he too got a sight of the hat he understood. “Pardon us, we'll make right away ma'am, sirs.” He stuttered hastily, as the man possessed by Jester would be pulled into the crowd. “We had no idea.” The crook offered apologetically.
“We'll take care of him too, make him pay for insulting you.” The man added, and Jester would be able to see that around his host body knives would be drawn. “You've been expected, we'll make it up to you, we'll lead you. Follow me.”
In spite of their aggression, the men were quite nervous now. Was there something in this town they were more afraid of than librarians?

Supported by Vignar's shout, Emily's arrow was too fast for Sean (or rather; Valor) to avoid. However even with support, the armour was too strong to pierce so easily. Even though Valor hadn't suffered damage, however, Sean biting his lip betrayed that the arrow had enough impact to at least hurt the man inside the armour. Emily would have little time to aim her second arrow, however, as suddenly chains shot up near all holders (except Diane) their feet; attempting to bind their limbs. The sand beneath Diane's feet on the other hand, began to soften...
